Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(06):-
The studies were undertaken on the trauma model of rats, whose right hind legs were amputated,in order to investigate the change in the immune adherence function of red cells, and the effect of treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine, consisting of a mixture of Shen-er,to decrease immune adherence function of red cells after trauma. The results indicats that after trauma (1) the activity of C3b receptor of red cells decreased;(2) the amount of immune complexes on the surface of red cells increased;(3) the activity of the enhancing factors for the immune adherence of red cells dropped;(4) the activity of the inhibitors for the immune adherence of red cells elevated;(5) there is remarkable interrelation in the changes between the activity of the C3b receptors of red cells and the activity of the inhibitors for the immune adherence of red cells;(6) the mixture of Shen-er could effectively raise the inhibited activity of the C3b receptor of red cells;(7) the mixture could also effectively regulate the activity of the inhibitors of the immune adherence of red cells.

Objective To explore the feasibility of various compensation approaches and their combination after canceling the drug addition at municipal public hospitals in Anshan city. Methods 2008~201 1 medical services, balance of payments of Anshan municipal public hospitals during 2008~201 1 were analyzed,to calculate the balance of profit and loss of the hospitals with the drug addition canceled,as well as the effects of various compensation models and their combinations on hospitals’balance, government financial burden, costs of health insurance and patients’out-of-packet costs. Results Without drug addition, hospitals are found with surplus drop, and doubled number of years in deficit.Losses incurred by the canceling can be covered partly by pricing adjustment of medical services or collection of pharmaceutical service surcharge, with complete compensation by collection of medical service surcharge;government financial subsidies for large equipment depreciation or medical services offer part of the compensation, which is affordable by government finance.Such deficits cannot be covered completely by any single approach, yet they can be greatly eased by a combination of the approaches mentioned above. With impacts on all stakeholders in consideration, the optimal solution is the combination of the scheme with adjusted services price plus collection of pharmaceutical service surcharge and medical services compensation. Conclusion With the drug addition policy canceled, the establishment and perfection of the compensation mechanism calls for a synergy of pricing, health insurance and government finance.

Chinese Journal of Infectious Diseases 2008;26(3):151-157
Objective To conduct a Meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of interfer on-α for treating HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B in children. Methods PubMed and Chinese Biomedical Database were searched from the beginning to April 2006,and the references of eligible studies were manually screened.Randomized controlled trials published in the English and Chinese literature comparing interferon-α with non-antiviral interventions(placebo or no treatment)in children with chronic hepatitis B were eligible for inclusion.Studies were included if patients were treated for at least 3 months and followed up for at least 6 months after cessation of therapy. Two investigators independently assessed the quality and extracted the data. The methodological quality of trails was assessed by the Jadad-scale plus allocation concealment.Heterogeneity was examined by Chi-square test.Fixed effects model or random effects model was used to pool the data.Sensitivity analyses were used in the treatment course. Results Seven randomized controlled studies with a total of 360 child chronic hepatitis B virus carriers who were positive for hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis B e antigen werc identified. It was found by Meta-analysis that, compared with the control,at the end of therapy,interferon-α could significantly clear HBeAg[22.1%vs 6.7%,OR 3.56,95% CI(1.74, 7.28),P=0.000 5],HBV DNA[33.7% vs 12.6%,OR 3.50,95% CI(2.03,6.06),P<0.01], HBsAg [6.5% vs 0.5%,OR 7.10,95% CI(1.52,33.12),P=0.01],and achieve HBeAg seroconversion [17.3% vs 2.9%,OR 5.62,95% CI(1.65,19.18),P=0.006],but was not more effective in HBsAg seroversion[2.0% vs 0,OR 3.55,95%CI(0.35,35.93),P=0.28]and alanine aminotransferase(ALT)normalization[24.2% vs 16.2%,OR 1.72,95% CI(0.84,3.52), P=0.14].Conclusions Interferon a may be efficacious in clearance of HBeAg,HBV DNA and HhsAg, and achievement of HBeAg seroversion.Little evidence is available on HBsAg seroversion and ALT normali zation.Rigorously designed large sample size randomized double blind clinical trials with large sample size are required to further confirm and support the conclusion.

Aim To study the inhibitory effects and its mechanisms of oridonin on human pancreas adenocarcinoma SW1990 cells. Methods Cell growth inhibition mediated by oridonin on SW1990cells was measured by MTT assay. The morphological changes were observed by Hoechst33258 fluorochrome staining and electron microscope.Cell cycle and apoptosis rate were analyzed by flow cytometry. The molecular mechanisms involved in the effects of oridonin on SW1990 cells were studied by RT-PCR.Results The growth of humen pancreas adenocarcinoma SW1990 cells was significantly inhibited by oridonin.Apoptosis morphological changes about chromatic agglutination and nuclear condensation were detected by Hoechst 33258 fluorochrome staining and electron microscope in oridonin treated SW1990 cells."Sub-G_1" phase peak and G_2/M growth arrest werer found with flow cytometry. The upregulating mRNA expression of p21 and downregulating mRNA expression of survivin were detected by RT-PCR.Conclusion The inhibitory effect of oridonin on human pancreas adenocarcinoma SW1990 cells through induced apoptosis and G_2/M growth arrest and the mechanisms may be through surviving-p21 co-regluation pathway.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
Enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) is widely accepted as one of the most economical and sustainable processes to remove phosphorus from wastewater.Poor performance or complete failure of EBPR processes has been substantially reported because of the proliferation of glycogen-accumulating organisms (GAOs) in the system. This paper presented the GAOs' metabolic mechanism and the impact factors, such as influent substrate, P/C ratio, pH value, temperature and SRT, on competition between GAOs and PAOs to better understand GAOs' characteristics and improve the performance and reliability of EBPR systems.

This paper discussed anti blood group antibody and red blood cell innate immunological function changes in gravidas with various blood groups. The 1∶64 positive rate of anti blood group antibody and innate immunological adhesive ratio of CR1 on red blood cell of gravida were assayed. Results showed that gravida with blood group AB didnot yield anti blood group antibody for antagonizing her husband blood group. However, the anti blood group antibody positive rate of gravida with blood group O was topmost(18.5%), which was also comparatable to group A (8.7%) and group B (3.0%)respectively with significant difference ( P

Objective To evaluate the role of TCD examination in diagnosis of the early cerebrovascular diseases in aged diabetic patients. Methods 179 cases of aged type Ⅱ diabetic patients were divided into three groups(PDR,BDR and NDB)according to their retinopathy.TCD and retina examination were performed in all patients and the data be analysed. Results (1)The systolic peak flow velocity(Vp) of MCA、ACA、ICA and BA were significant increased in diabetic pa- tients than in normal control group(P
