Objective: To observe the influence of electroacupuncture with different frequencies on rats swimming endurance and sift out the optimal frequency parameter. Methods: Wistar rats were randomly allocated to control group, non-acupoint group and electroacupuncture with low frequency group (EA with 2 Hz group), electroacupuncture with medium frequency group (EA with 15 Hz group), and electroacupuncture with high frequency group (EA with 100 Hz group), acupoints Zusanli (ST 36) and Taichong (LR 3) were punctured and rats load swimming time was used as an index, and the change of swimming endurance time before and after acupuncture was observed. Results: After electro-acupuncture, swimming time was increased in 15 Hz and 100 Hz groups respectively, with the significant differences between before and after acupuncture (P<0.05). There was also a significant difference in the percentage of increase in swimming time between 15 Hz group and other groups (P<0.05).Conclusion: It is suggested that electroacupuncture at acupoints Zusanli (ST 36) and Taichong (LR 3) with a frequency of 15 Hz could enhance rats's swimming endurance, and 15 Hz might be an optimal frequency parameter during the electrical stimulation.

objective To evaluate the clinical application value of ileum to the S-type of suture pro- duced orthotopic neobladder. Methods Radical cystectomy and ileal neobladder with"S"shape were per- formed in 3patients with transitional cell carcinoma.Ureter implant into neobladder with embedding nipple techniques, bottom of neobladder coincide with urethra stump. Results The average operative time to form a neobladder was 5 hours, average bleeding volume was 366 ml during operation,3 cases can control urine dur- ing daytime, nycturia 1-3 times every night.Neobladder has a large capacity, low pressure, and electrolytes of blood was normal. Conclusion The construction of an ileal neobladder using a smaller part of ileum that has been completely detubularized and fashioned by S shape is easy and agreeable to perform. This mode of oper- ation has low complication rates, achieves adequate capacity at low pressure, and provides satisfactory conti- nence rates. It is a fine scheme to treat invasion and multiple carcinoma of bladder.

0.05).The 2 -year and 3-year survival rates were 91.7 %,89.2 % and 85.8%,86.1% in all patients for either gr oup. The 2 -year and 3-year survival rates were 84.2%,81.8% and 72.9%,77.1% in p atients with positive axillary lymph nodes for the two groups, with the differen ces insignificant (Logrank test P=0.663, P=0.9 19).There were no differences in the 2-year and 3-year survivals for patients with stage Ⅲ and over receiving ch est wall irradiation or not and patients who received different doses of chest w all irradiation (Logrank test P=0.449, P=0.764 ). Conclusions Locoregional recu rrence is not reduced and survival rate is not improved by chest wall irradiatio n in this study. The prognostic impact of chest wall irradiation and the optimal target of radiotherapy remains to be substantiated by more randomized trials.

Objective To evaluate the role of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway in paclitaxel-induced apoptosis in hippocampal neurons of rats, and the relationship with nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) pathway. Methods The primarily cultured hippocampal neurons were seeded in 96-well plate at a density of 1×106 cells/ml (200 μl/hole) , and were randomly divided into 4 groups (n=8 each) using a random number table: control group (C group), paclitaxel group (P group), JNK inhibitor SP600125 group (S group), and SP600125 + paclitaxel group (S+P group).Paclitaxel 2 ml (1 μmol/L) was added to group P.SP600125 2 ml (10 μmol/L) was added to group S.In group S+P, SP600125 2 ml (10 μmol/L) was added, the cell were then incubated for 1 h, and then paclitaxel 2 ml (1 μmol/L) was added. The cells were then incubated for 24 h.At 24 h of incubation, the apoptosis in hippocampal neurons was detected by flow cytometry, and the expression of NF-κB p65 was measured by Western blot. The apoptosis rate was calculated. Results Compared with group C, the apoptosis rate was significantly increased, and the expression of NF-κB p65 was up-regulated in P and S+P groups, and the apoptosis rate was significantly decreased, and the expression of NF-κB p65 was down-regulated in group S (P<0.05).Compared with group P, the apoptosis rate was significantly decreased, and the expression of NF-κB p65 was down-regulated in group S+P (P<0.05).Conclusion JNK signaling pathway mediates paclitaxel-induced apoptosis in hippocampal neurons of rats, and the mechanism is likely related to inhibition of NF-κB pathway activation.
