Objective To investigate the relationship between osteopontin and urolithiasis. Methods Concentrations of urinary osteopontin and crystal components were determined. Results Relative concentrations of urinary osteopontin in normal, pre and postoperative stone former group were 29.30 ,26.17 and 10.84 respectively. Concentrations of urinary magnesium and citrate were 3.86 mmol/L and 1.42 mmol/L respectively in normal control, while these were 1.14 mmol/L and 0.33 mmol/L respectively in stone formers, and there were significant differences between the two groups ( P

Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of PD-L1 in colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods:A total of 210 CRC patients who accepted radical surgery in our hospital from January 2015 to January 2016 were divided into three groups, namely, high-frequency microsatellite instability (MSI-H), low-frequency microsatellite instability (MSI-L), and microsatellite stable (MSS). The expression of PD-L1 was detected by immunohistochemistry, and the expression characteristics of PD-L1 in different types of CRC were analyzed. Results:CRC cases with low differentiation had a higher expression of PD-L1 than CRC patients with high differ-entiation (P<0.05). PD-L1 had a positive rate of 75.8%in the MSI-H group and a rate of 9.3%in the MSI-L and MSS groups, wherein the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:PD-L1 was positively expressed in some CRC tu-mor tissues, and its positive rate was significantly higher in MSI-H than in MSI-L and MSS. The therapeutic effect of a PD-L1 blocker for patients with MSI-H CRC might be preferable.

Objective To investigate the procedures and effects of surgical treatment for double disruption of the superior shoulder suspensory complex (SSSC).Methods Twenty-nine cases of double disruption of SSSC treated from January 2007 to October 2011 were enrolled in the study. There were 19 males and 10 females,at a mean age of 36 years (range,25-49 years).Injury causes included traffic injury in 25 cases and fall from height in 4.An open reduction and internal fixation was performed in 18 cases of scapular neck fracture combined with clavicular fracture,2 cases of scapular neck fracture combined with acromion fracture,2 cases of distal clavicular fracture combined with acromion and glenoid cavity fracture; hook plate fixation and ligament repair were performed in 3 cases of complete dislocation of acromioclavicular joint combined with complete disruption of coracoclavicular ligament ; open reduction and internal fixation and ligament repair were performed in 3 cases of scapular neck fracture combined with acromioclavicular joint dislocation and 1 case of clavicular fracture combined with coracoclavicular ligament disruption. Results All cases were followed up for a mean period of 11.5 months (range,6-30 months).Anatomic reduction of fractures was achieved for all cases and mean healing time was 8.4 weeks (range,7-12 weeks).Mean Constant-Murley score was 91 points (range,72-100 points),which indicated excellent results in 13 cases, good in 11,fair in 5,with excellence rate of 83%.ConclusionBased on the complex anatomic structure of the double disruption of SSSC,surgical management should focus mainly on respective fixation of the double injuries, which leads to good stability and therapeutic outcome.

OBJECTIVE:
To determine the allelic frequency distribution and genetic parameters of nine non-CODIS DNA index systems of the short tandem repeat (STR) loci (D2S1772, D6S1043, D7S3048, D8S1132, D11S2368, D12S391, D13S325, D18S1364, and GATA198B05).
METHODS:
A total of 353 blood samples were collected, extracted, amplified, and analyzed from unrelated healthy individuals of Han nationality in Hunan Province, China.
RESULTS:
One hundred and fourteen alleles were observed in the population with corresponding allelic frequencies ranged from 0.001 0 to 0.323 0. For all the nine non-CODIS STR loci, the observed genotypic data showed no significant deviations from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The Ho, He, PIC, DP, and PE of the studied non-CODIS STR loci ranged from 0.1080 to 0.1950, 0.8050 to 0.8920, 0.7700 to 0.8600, 0.9250 to 0.9660 and 0.6070 to 0.7800, respectively.
CONCLUSION
Nine non-CODIS STR loci have high degrees of polymorphisms, which may be useful in individual forensic identification and parentage testing in forensic practice.

OBJECTIVETo explore methods and clinical effects of composite external fixtor in treating adult patients with unstable middle 1/3 of clavicular fractures.
METHODSFrom March 2008 to March 2011,36 patients with unstable middle 1/3 of clavicular fractures were treated with composite external fixtor. There were 24 males and 12 females, aged from 18 to 55 years old with an average of 43 years old. Twenty cases on the left side and 16 cases on the right side. Time from injury to operation was 2 to 6 days (averaged 3.5 days). According to Robinson classification, there were 7 cases with type 2A2, 18 cases with type 2B1, and 11 cases with type 2B2. No vessels and nerve damage occurred before opreation. The clinical effects were evaluated according to Neer scoring.
RESULTSAll cases were followed up from 6 to 12 months with an average of 8 months. The mean Neer score was 88.3 +/- 6.2, which included pain 31.6 +/- 3.2, functional score 25.7 +/- 2.2, range of motion score 21.1 +/- 1.7, and anatomy score 8.8 +/- 0.8. There were 22 cases in excellent, good in 13, fair in 1. Two cases occurred pin tract infection.
CONCLUSIONComposite external fixtor is an optional method in treating unstable middle 1/3 of clavicular fracture, and can obtain a good clinical effects.

·AlM: To investigate pathogeny and effects of surgery on paralytic strabismus.
· METHODS: A retrospective study was done in 46 patients with paralytic strabismus who underwent squint correction in our hospital from June 2010 to June 2013. Among 26 horizontal strabismus, the cases of extra rectus palsy was 16, internal rectus palsy was 10.Among all20 vertical strabismus, the cases of superior oblique palsy, superior rectus palsy, inferior rectus palsy, double elevator palsy counted for 7, 8, 2 and 3, respectively. Pathogenesis: trauma was 19 cases, followed by 10 cases that the causes could not be identified.Nine was congen ital paralytic strabismus, 8 o ccurred after nose or brain surgery. The surgery methods included rectus muscle recession, rectus muscle resection, partial rectus muscle transposition, Jensen procedure, inferior oblique myectomy and anterior transposition of inferior oblique. Statistical software SPSS10.0 was used in chi-square test between two groups, while the situation of paralysis eye movements improved by two methods in the horizontal strabismus group was compared with t test.
· RESULTS: Among all horizontal strabismus the rate of cure, improvement and inefficiency was 20 ( 77%) , 5 ( 19%) and 1 ( 4%) , respectively. Among vertical strabismus the ratio of cure, improvement and inefficiency was 15 (75%), 3 (15%) and 2 (10%).There was no significantly difference between the two groups ( P >0.05 ). The movements of paralytic eyes were improved. Two procedures used in horizontal strabismus, can improve paralysis eye movements were 3.76 ±0.91, 3.72 ±0.84mm, with no significant difference (P=0.93) statistically.
· CONCLUSlON: Paralytic strabismus in adults had complicated conditions. Choosing different operation methods in treating paralytic strabismus according to the degree of paralysis can result in satisfactory cosmetically alignment of the eyes and modify head position and diplopia.
