Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(01):-
Objective To evaluate the effects of restraint stress on behaviors of mice with focal cerebral ischemia. Methods Male mice were first subjected to left middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion. Repeated restraint stress (2 hours/day for 2 weeks) was given from 1 week after surgery. At the end of stress scheme, sucrose solution consumption test, open-field test and forced swimming test were performed. Results Spontaneous locomotor activity and coordination test were decreased to the lowest level on the 1st day after MCAO compared with the baseline values before surgery (P

The study of quality control of Chinese medicine has always been the hot and the difficulty spot of the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which is also one of the key problems restricting the modernization and internationalization of Chinese medicine. Multivariate statistical analysis is an analytical method which is suitable for the analysis of characteristics of TCM. It has been used widely in the study of quality control of TCM. Multivariate Statistical analysis was used for multivariate indicators and variables that appeared in the study of quality control and had certain correlation between each other, to find out the hidden law or the relationship between the data can be found,.which could apply to serve the decision-making and realize the effective quality evaluation of TCM. In this paper, the application of multivariate statistical analysis in the quality control of Chinese medicine was summarized, which could provided the basis for its further study.

Objective To explore the role of p170, MRP, bcl-2 in clinical drug- resistance and their correlation. Methods There are 44 acute leukemia(AL) patients, among them ANLL is 29, ALL is 15.The expression of p170, MRP, bcl-2 were detected. At last, the patients were divided into two groups: CR and NR according to efficacy after two periods standard chemotherapy. Results Overexpression of p170, MRP,bcl-2 were found in AL (P <0.05). The expression of p170 and MRP were lower in CR group than that in NR groups in AML and ALL; there were 22 of 24 patients expressed one or two proteins in NR groups and the expression of p170 in patients was concordant with that of MRP to certain extent (P <0.01). The overexpression of bcl-2 was related with the worse prognosis. The expression of bcl-2 was lower significantly in CR group than in CR and NR (P<0.05). Conclusion p170, bcl-2, MRP are all associated with clinical MDR. High expression of these proteins is an unfavorable factor to prognosis. The expression of MRP and p170 showed coincidence, but showed no significance with expression of bcl-2 in untreated patients, it indicated that the drug-resistance mediated by p170 was different from bcl-2.

A broken metal handle accompanied by femoral trunk fracture, which would shorten service life of handles. Therefore, it is necessary to judge whether the notch is the main reason for handle broken. Some literatures thought that the pores of sintered porous coated anatomic (PCA) porous layer produce the notch on the handle surface and the notches lead to the handle broken being incorrect. The Apex of the pore is taken for the bottom of the notch, expanding into a crack, and it should also not grow to the base-alloy, accordingly, the above conclusion is wrong. Some reports pointed out the notch, apex of the pore, will expand into the crack, but it is not associated with the broken handle. Under the sintering temperature, the grain boundary apertures be generated on the base metal surface, the aperture is expanded into the crack, which leads to handle broken in the forced area. However, neither theoretical basis, nor a case of corroboration, can prove exist of notch. Actually, the broken handle is caused by the sintering technology. The high temperature of sintering joining results in grain boundary aperture, when encounter the largest forced area and expand into crack, it will break the handle.

INTRODUCTION: General joining techniques are at low level, which produces some potential problems in porous layer of porous coated anatomic (PCA).LIMITATIONS: The problems in general joining techniques are caused by limitations of each technique, which could not be solved using advanced measures.APPLICATION: The activated diffusion brazing technology is an effective way. Its many advanced processes can solve those potential problems.CONCLUSION: The stress-shielding problem caused by PCA porous layer can be solved by using small metal balls in the same diameter in combination with the advanced activated diffusion brazing technology. Moreover, the high performance brazing metals by activated diffusion brazing technology is harmless for humans.

Objective To compare the application of debridement combined with vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) versus debridement combined with conventional dressing change in patients with subscalp infection following surgical treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and investigate the effect of VSD in treatment of wound infection associated with surgery for TBI.Methods A retrospective review was conducted on clinical data of 60 TBI patients with combined wound infection after decompressive craniotomy between August 2005 and January 2012.According to the treatment modalities after admission, the patients were divided into debridement combined with VSD group (Group A) and debridement combined with conventional dressing change group (Group B),with 30 patients per group. Then wound healing, infection relapse rate and length of hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results All 60 patients were followed up for 12-36 months (mean 21.6 months). The wound infection did not recur after surgery in Group A and sutures were removed in time.Seven patients (23%) in Group B presented with recurrent wound infection after the removal of wound drainage tube, which was healed after an additional debridement and drainage as well as the delay of suture removal.Wound healing time (13 d vs 22 d),dressing change frequency (3 times vs 8 times),length of hospital stay (17 d vs 26 d),antibiotic use duration (7 d vs 14 d),and time to drop the body temperature to normal after operation (2 d vs 4 d) in Group A and B respectively showed significant difference (P < 0.05).Conclusion In treatment of wound infection associated with decompressive craniotomy for TBI,VSD is beneficial for rapid healing of the infected wound and is worthy of wide clinical use.
