2.The study on super selective hepatic artery embolization for effects of hepatic cyst volume and liver function of symptomatic patients with polycystic liver
China Medical Equipment 2016;13(8):57-59,60
Objective:To investigate the super selective transhepatic arterial embolization (TAE) for effects of cyst volume and liver function in patients with symptomatic polycystic liver disease (PLD), and provide a reliable basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods: 14 cases of symptomatic patients with PLD were selected from October 2014 to October 2015 in our hospital using super selective hepatic arterial embolization. The upper abdomen was performed CT scan one year after surgery, and the volume of patients with liver cyst was tested. We observed the changes of total volume of liver before TAE and postoperative kidney function, adverse reactions, and the improvements after four months’ follow-up.Results: The angiography for the 14 patients showed liver volume increased in different degrees. It also showed that blood supply was mainly hepatic artery wall branch. There were different sizes of liver round unstained area. There was consistent between CT examination and unstained area in polycystic liver swollen area. The difference of the total volume of the liver cyst was statistically significant in 14 cases of the patients with PLD before TAE treatment and after 12 months’ treatment (t=2.8627,P<0.05). 14 cases of the patients with PLD after TAE before treatment and after 1 week’s laboratory tests, the difference was not statistically significant among AST, ALT, ALB and TBIL (t=0.0441,t=0.3316,t=0.0722,t=1.9855;P>0.05). Compared with the preoperative, there was little effect on liver function by TAE. After 3 to 12 months, symptoms gradually improved and physical rating increased. The improvement rate was 100% after 12 months and the physical score was from 90 to 100 points. The embolism syndrome in 14 cases of patients gradually disappeared after 1 to 5 days, and five days later the symptoms disappeared. Conclusions: There is a significant effect for symptomatic polycystic liver patients with TAE. It can improve efficacy and reduce patient suffering with a low recurrence rate. It is worthy of clinical application.

4.Correlation between YSR and CBCL
Chinese Mental Health Journal 2002;0(09):-
Objective:to study the relationship between YSR and CBCL in adolescents.Method:466 adolescents were collected from 3 middle or high schools by striated random sampling. YSR (youth self report) and CBCL (child behavior checklist) were applied to the adolescents, and their parents .Result:there were 103 questions same in both YSR and CBCL, the Kappa=0.001-0.218 (P=0.975~0.000). In male, the result of YSR was correlated with only one syndrome in CBCL, in female, it correlated with 7 syndromes, introversion/extroversion, and the total score of CBCL. In middle school students, the result of YSR correlated with all subscores of CBCL. In adolescents of core family, in good relationship with parents, with father had higher educational level (high school), the result of YSR correlated with most of the subscores of CBCL.Conclusion:in the population of male, high school students, of non-core family, or in poor relationship with parents, results of YSR and CBCL are not consistent.

8.Risk factors for healthcare-associated infection in patients in department of cardiology
Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2015;(6):409-411
Objective To evaluate the risk factors for healthcare-associated infection (HAI)in patients in depart-ment of cardiology. Methods Clinical data of inpatients were performed retrospective case-control analysis, patients with HAI were as case group, while without HAI were as control group, factors for HAI between two groups were compared. Results 117 cases of HAI occurred among 2 308 patients, infection rate was 5.07%.The main infection site was respiratory tract (n=71 ,60.68%);a total of 90 pathogenic isolates were isolated,gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria, and fungi accounted for 72.22%(n=65),22.22%(n=20),and 5.56%(n=5)respective-ly.Univariate analysis revealed that 7 variables were risk factors for HAI,multivariate non-conditional logistic re-gression analysis revealed that independent risk factors for HAI were age, cardiac function classification, serum al-bumin level, and invasive operation. Conclusion HAI rate is higher among cardiology inpatients, which is related to many factors.Attention should be paid to the elderly, long term hospitalization, heart failure correcting, treatment for complications, reducing of invasive procedure, and strict sterile manipulation.
9.Biomechanical tests of percutanous lumbar interbody fusion by expansile cage through lateral approach
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(39):7643-7646
BACKGROUND: A variety of cages for lumbar interbody fusion have been used, which have good mechanics and clinical effects. Conventional posterior fusion requires parallel implantation of two cages, but some researchers believe that single lumbar fusion cage in oblique way is also possible.OBJECTIVE: Through in vitro biomechanical tests, to find a method with favorable effect and little trauma by combination of percutaneous lateral oblique way into the single expansive lumbar fusion cage between the fixed-line operations.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized, controlled experiment was performed at the Shanghai Institute of Biomechanical Engineering between May 2005 and May 2008.MATERIALS: Expansile lumbar interbody fusion cage was simulated from B-Twin Cage (Disc-O-Tech, Israel). Fresh calf lumbar specimens were used.METHODS: Biomechanical tests were performed in 18 specimens of calf lumbar function spinal units (FSU), which were divided into 3 groups: 6 in control group, 6 in single cage groups and 6 in two-cage groups. The biomechanical tests of two experimental groups were performed following tests of intact specimens. Stiffness tests were conducted in the WE-10A MTS,including axial compression, flexion, extension, lateral bending, and torsion.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Axial and torsion stiffness results of each group.RESULTS: The stiffness was greater in two-cage groups compared with single cage group in axial compression and extension, but significant differences were only found in axial compression and extension tests (P < 0.05). The torsion stiffness of single cage group was significantly greater than two-cage groups (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: Percutanous lumbar interbody fusion by single expansile lumbar interbody fusion cage from lateral approach is feasible theoretically. Biomechanical properties of FSU with B-Twin cage are improved, which contributes a lot to lumbar stability. Compared with posterior approach of single cage, two-cage can provide better stiffness and stability but its torsion stability is lower.
10.Interaction of polymorphisms in resistin gene promoter -420C/G, cyto-chromes P4501 A1 gene MspI and cigarette smoking on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2015;(3):485-491
AIM:To investigate the interaction of polymorphisms of resistin gene promoter -420C/G, cyto-chromes P4501A1-MspI and cigarette smoking in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).METHODS: The genetic polymorphisms in resistin gene promoter -420C/G and CYP1A1-MspI were analyzed by the technique of polymerase chain reaction ( PCR) in peripheral blood leukocytes of 900 NAFLD cases and 900 healthy persons.RESULTS:The frequencies of -420C/G (GG) and CYP1A1-MspI (m2/m2) were 49.75%and 50.08%in NAFLD cases and 24.00%and 24.25%in healthy controls, respectively.Statistical tests showed a significant difference in the frequencies between the 2 groups ( P<0.01).The risk of NAFLD with -420C/G (GG) was significantly higher than that of controls.Individuals who carried with CYP1A1-MspI (m2/m2) had a high risk of NAFLD.Combined analysis of the polymorphisms showed that the per-centages of -420C/G (GG)/CYP1A1-MspI (m2/m2) in NAFLD and control groups were 39.83% and 12.83%, re-spectively (P<0.01).The people who carried with -420C/G (GG)/CYP1A1-MspI(m2/m2) had a high risk in NAFLD group. The cigarette smoking rate in NAFLD group was signi-ficantly higher than that in control group ( P<0.01) , and the statistic analysis suggested an interaction between cigarette smoking and -420C/G (GG) and CYP1A1-MspI (m2/m2), which increased the risk of NAFLD.CONCLUSION: -420C/G (GG), CYP1A1-MspI (m2/m2) and cigarette smoking are the risk factors in NAFLD.The interactions between genetic polymorphisms in -420C/G, CYP1A1-MspI ( m2/m2) and cigarette smoking increase the risk of NAFLD.
