1.Transformation and chromosomal instability of human tracheal epithelial cells induced by formaldehyde
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(13):-
Objective To explore the mechanisms of chemical carcinogenesis and the relationship between malignant transformation and genomic/chromosomal instability of human bronchial epithelial cell line by formaldehyde. Methods BEAS-2B cell line was toxicated by formaldehyde and the LC_(50) of formaldehyde was tested by MTT assay.BEAS-2B cells were induced by formaldehyde at 20% LC_(50),and the transformation of BEAS-2B cells was identified and induced clones were selected.By G-banding technique, the metaphase modal chromosome number, karyotypes and nonrandom structural change of induced cell strains were analyzed. Results The growth rate of BEAS-2B cells induced by formaldehyde was significantly increased. The induced cells showed a trend of infinite proliferation and the anchorage independent growth was seen in 15~(th) generation cells. As compared with the relatively stable pseudodiploid karyotype of BEAS-2B cells, most of induced cells were triploid and/or tetraploid karyotypes and their chromosome 14 had lost two copies of chromosome replaced by the other two. They also had high frequency of unstable aberration(39%),including chromosome loss, endoduplication, translocation, breakage, two and/or three centromeres etc..Conclusion The formaldehyde could lead to progression of malignant transformation and result in genomic instability of human bronchial epithelial cells in vitro.

AIM:To study characteristic components and fingerprint of the essential oils of processed Rhizoma curcumae longae, and further use as one of evaluation of quality control. METHODS:The essential oils were ex-tracted by steam distillation from ten batches of samples, and the characteristic components of the essential oils were analysed by GC-MS. And then mutual fingerprint of the characteristic components was established by Microsoft Office Excel 2003. RESULTS:Twenty-seven characteristic components of essential oil consisted of Ar-turmerone,Tumerone,Curlone,?-Curcumene,?-Zingiberene,?-Sesquiphellandrene and their derivatives, which were compose of about 88. 8% ~94. 9% of the total essential oil. The retention time and peak area of the components appeared the characteristic fingerprint. CONCLUSION:The method and the fingerprint have a good reproducibility, and can be used to identify and evaluate the quality of processed Rhizome curcumae longae.

Loss of the ethical basis in the Chinese healthcare reform is embodied in a number of noticeable questions arising during the reform and development course. We should adhere to correct value orientation and ethical principles in deepening healthcare reform. Each stakeholder inside the reform including government, medical institutions, medical staff, patients and their relatives should take their respective ethical responsibilities. Therefore, the Chinese healthcare industry could develop with Chinese unique characteristics, and the healthcare reform will conduct correctly and continuously.

OBJECTIVE:To detect and analyze the safety signals of pemetrexed in post-marketing,and provide references for rational drug use in the clinic. METHODS:A form of data mining techniques was used to detect the safety signals of pemetrexed in American adverse events reporting system and the analysis of signal effect factors i.e.,gender,age,dosage and indication was per-formed by SPSS 19.0. RESULTS:173 signals related to pemetrexed were excavated in 5 397 235 reports, and the number of report-ed adverse event in blood-lymphatic system was the most(491)and the number of signals in gastrointestinal system was the most (17). There was no statistical significance in the distribution of blood-lymphatic system and gastrointestinal system in gender(P=0.075) and age (P=0.726) compared to other system adverse event, but there was statistical significance in dosage (P=0.007) and indication(P=0.001). CONCLUSIONS:Adverse events induced by pemetrexed in blood-lymphatic system and gastrointestinal system should be monitored at the same time, especially combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

AIM: To study fingerprint and characteristic components of the essential oil of processed Rhizoma Kaempferiae in order to control quality. METHODS: The fingerprint and characteristic components of the essential oil of 10 samples were determined by GC-MS. RESULTS: trans-Ethyl-p-methoxycinnamate,cis-Ethyl-p-methoxycinnamate,trans-Ethylcinnamate,n-Pentadecane,3-Carene,Borneol, 8-Heptadecene,Cyperene,Heptadecane,Globulol,Eucalyptol,cis-Methyl-p-methoxycinnamate and Eucarvone were gained in 10 samples, and relative contents of 13 components added up to 94.5%-98.2% of the total essential oil.The retention time and peak area of 13 components had built the characteristic fingerprint of essential oil of processed Rhizoma Kaempferiae. CONCLUSION: The commercial samples collected from various sources shows a strong similarity. The method has a good repeatability and can be used to control quality of processed Rhizoma Kaempferiae.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2001;28(2):172-175
monocarboxylate transporter (MCT) are vital transmembran e transporters involved in multiple cellular functions including the regulation of intracellul ar pH and lactate transport. At least eight isoforms of MCT have been cloned and characterized to date, they constitute a new gene family of mammal transporters . These isoforms have the differences in substrate and inhibitor specificities a nd tissue distribution. Thus it may provide a new way of diagonosis and treating for dieases such as cancer by investigating on the structure and function and r egulational mechanism of MCT.

Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging 2014;34(4):331-334
DTC in pediatric and adolescent patients has lower incidence and is generally reported to have better prognosis. However, compared with DTC in adults,it is more aggressive and the recurrence rate is higher.Surgery and adjuvant radioiodine therapy can minimize the risk of recurrence.Total or near total thyroidectomy combined with central compartment lymph node dissection is the preferred surgical procedure for most of these patients.Radioiodine therapy for ablation of thyroidal remnant or residual disease is recommended in order to reduce the risk of tumor recurrence, but there is slight chance of increased risk of a sec ond primary malignancy (SPM).Long-term follow-up is therefore recommended for the pediatrics and adolescents with DTC after treatment.Multi-disciplinary collaborative management is needed to optimize treatment efficacy and to minimize adverse effects.

The attributes of hospital is one of important factors which affect the health service polices and medical practice.the current situation of doctor-patient relationship and frequent doctor-patient dispute was deviate from these attributes. The hospital attributes must return to its nature so as to lessen the contradiction of doctor-patient relationship and decrease the dispute, and use these theories as base to make scientific and rational health polices, and promote the development of our health service.
