Bloodletting therapy is one of the typical treatment modes of traditional Chinese medicine, and acute soft tissue injury (ASTI) is one of the most common indications for acupuncture therapeutics. In this paper, the current situation of treatments and pathological mechanisms of ASTIs, the existing problems of bloodletting therapy in the treatment of ASTIs and the study strategies are systematically analyzed, indicating that bloodletting therapy is significantly effective in the treatment of ASTIs. Breakthroughs in the treatment of ASTIs will be achieved with the application of bloodletting therapy both in clinical practice and experimental research.

Objective To investigate whether the geometry of the left heart and the diastolic function of left ventricle change in patients with essential hypertension but without left ventricular remodeling. Methods Echocardiography was performed in consecutive male patients above 35 years old and without valvular heart disease, myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy or other diseases that may have effect on the heart structure. The thickness of intra-ventricular septum(IVST) and left ventricular posterior wall (LVPWT), the end-diastolic diameter of the left ventricle(LVEDD), left atrial anterior-posterior(LAAPD), long (LALD) and cross-sectional diameters(LACD) and area(LAA), early diastolic peak velocity(EPV) and atrial contraction peak velocity(APV) of the mitral valve flow were measured. EPV/APV ratio, left ventricular mass index(LVMI), relative wall thickness(RWT) were calculated. Patients with LVMI≥131g/m 2 and/or RWT≥0 44 were excluded from this study. The remaining patients were divided into 2 groups: the patients with essential hypertension were included in the no-remodeling group(group NR), while the patients without essential hypertention entered the normal control group (group NC). AIM: To establish the qualitative method for determining hirudo in Zhiyu Granule (Scorpio, Scolopendra, Rhizoma Coptidis, Radix Astragali, etc.) METHODS: Hirudo was determined by anti-thrombin bioactivity method after being extracted from Zhiyu Granule using 95% ethanol. RESULTS: The difference between Zhiyu Granule and the control sample without hirude was significant and easy to identify. CONCLUSION: After being extracted by 95% ethanol, hirudo can be identified from other anti-thrombin bioactivity components in prescription.

Aim: To search for new compounds with stronger anti-inflammatory activities and less gastrointestinal side effects. Methods: 2-(2, 4-Dichlorophenyl) -3-(3, 5-dimethoxyphenyl) - propenoic acid(Ⅰ) was converted to amides(Ⅱ). Their anti-inflammatory activities against xylene-induced mice ear swelling were evaluated. Results: Twelve target compounds (Ⅱ_(1-12)) were synthesized, and their structures were confirmed by IR,~1H NMR and HR-MS.Ⅱ_3 exhibited significant anti-inflammatory activity compared with CMC-Na ( P < 0. 01) and aspirin ( P < 0. 05). Conclusion: Compound Ⅱ_3 deserves further investigation.

Objective: To investigate the effects of acupuncture and combined acupuncture and medicine on the quality of life and the genital endocrine level in postmenopausal women. Methods:Forty-seven patients were randomly assigned to acupuncture and acupuncture plus medicine groups,23 cases in the acupuncture group and 24 cases in the acupuncture plus medicine group. The observed course of treatment was 3 months. A Chinese concise SF-36 questionnaire was used to evaluate the quality of life in the different groups of patients before and after treatment.Meanwhile, radioimmunoassay was used to observe the differences in serum genital hormones:follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and estradiol (E2) contents between pretreatment and posttreatment in both groups. Results: After treatment, there was a significant difference in quality of life between the two groups and it was better in the acupuncture plus medicine group than in the acupuncture group(P＜ 0.01). E2 content increased more markedly in the acupuncture plus medicine group than in the acupuncture group(P＜ 0.05). There were no significant differences in FSH and LH contents between the two groups (P ＞ 0. 05). Conclusion: Both acupuncture and acupuncture plus medicine can improve the quality of life and increase obviously low E2 content in postmenopausal women. Acupuncture plus medicine raises the patients' quality of life and E2 content more markedly than acupuncture. It is suggested that both acupuncture and acupuncture plus medicine can improve the symptoms, signs, and physical and mental health, raise the quality of life and ameliorate genital-endocrine environment in postmenopausal women, but a combination of acupuncture and medicine has a better effect.

Objective To provide the basis for clinical treatment and prevention of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia infection ,ana‐lyze the characteristics of the bacteria infection and drug‐resistant strains of the area children .Methods Statistical analysis of 52 ca‐ses detected Stenotrophomonas maltophilia culture positive patients clinical data from September 2011 to September 2012 ,and the antibiotic susceptibility test results .Results Clinical data analysis showed that patients infected with Stenotrophomonas maltophilia had no difference on age and gender ,in the detection department was given priority to with of NICU and PICU ,82 .7% of infected children with SMA had a history of invasive procedures ,95 .92% of children with SMA had a history of penicillium carbon alkene drug use ,infection SMA patients in hospital for a long time with an average of (22 .3 ± 19 .0) days .Laboratory data analysis showed that Stenotrophomonas maltophilia main detection in sputum specimen type (63 .5% ) ,four kinds of commonly used clinical drug re‐sistance was higher ,sulfa drugs up to 21 .9% .Conclusion Stenotrophomonas maltophilia infection in children is closely related to carbapenem drug use and the invasive operation ,drug resistance in severe cases ,the rational use of antibiotics are crucial to treat‐ment .

To explore the correlation between nucleated red blood cell (NRBC) count and perinatal asphyxia in neonates.Full-term newborns born from May 2011 to November 2012 were recruited and divided into perinatal asphyxia (n =40) and normal (n =30) groups.Apgar score was recorded immediately at delivery.The umbilical arterial blood was also collected into anticoagulant-treated tube and NRBC was counted by Japan OlympusCX41 biological microscope.NRBC count for perinatal asphyxia group [(10.70 ± 2.61)/100 WBC] was significant higher than that for normal group [(2.67 ± 0.35)/100 WBC].A statistically significant negative correlation existed between NRBC and umbilical arterial blood pH,Apgar score at 1 min,BE value (r =-0.802,P ＜ 0.05 ; r =-0.639,P ＜ 0.05 ; r =-0.566,P ＜ 0.05).Associated with perinatal asphyxia in neonates,NRBC may be used as a simple index for assessing the severity of neonatal perinatal asphyxia.

Objective To explore the impact of ischemic stroke on intestinal barrier changes in dogs.Methods Totally 20 mongrel dogs were divided into 2 groups by random number table with 10 in each.Double silicone cylinders measuring 1.1 mm in diameter and 8 mm in length were placed into their internal carotid arteries in all dogs of group A.Group B served as a control group and received sham operation.Light microscopy was performed for morphological measurement of intestinal epithelial cell.Immunohistochemistry was used to analysis the changes of protein zonula occludens-1(ZO-1)localizing at tight junction of intestinal epithelial cells.Results Ischemic stroke was confirmed by cranial CT scanning in all dogs of group A.Compared with the test results in group B,the occludin and Zo-1 protein levels in group A were significantly lower than those in group B(occludin:0.20 ±0.01 vs 0.22 ±0.01,P =0.007; ZO-1:0.20 ±0.01 vs 0.22 ±0.02,P =0.008).The apoptotic index in group A was significantly higher than in group B(29.04 ± 3.79 vs 6.44 ± 1.24,P =0.002).There was a positive correlation between occludin and ZO-1(R =0.71,P =0.02),and the apoptotic index was negatively correlated with levels of occludin,ZO-1(R =-0.91,P =0.00; R =-0.77,P =0.01).Light microscopy showed that the dogs in group A had intestinal mucousal injuries while no obvious change was detected in group B.Conclusions Dogs with ischemic stroke tend to develop intestinal barrier dysfunction,during which the destruction of tight junction plays a key role.The up-regulated apoptosis of intestinal epithelial cell constitutes one of the cellular bases of intestine injury.
