Acta Anatomica Sinica 2014;(4):569-572
Objective To explore if the expression of follicle-stimulating hormone ( FSH ) and its receptor ( FSHR) exist in the rat submandibular gland tissue , which may provide a theoretic evidence for further studying on adjusting function of the FSH in submaxillary gland .Methods Twenty normal SD rats , with a mean body weight of (200 ±20)g, were adopted to collect out the submandibular gland after abdominal cavity anesthesia .The method of in situ hybridization was employed on cellular localization of FSH and FSHR .RT-PCR was used to detect if FSH and its receptor mRNA exist in the rat submandibular gland .RNA was extracted from the submandibular gland , then FSH and the core cDNA of its receptor gene were obtained with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and analyzed on its sequence . Results The epithelial cells of serous acinus and granular convoluted tubule in submaxillary gland of rats had FSH and FSHR mRNA hybridized signals , which were detected in cytoplasm with negative nuclei .Specific bands of FSH cDNA and FSHR cDNA were identical to be 193bp and 413bp respectively. Conclusion FSH and FSHR can be synthesized by the epithelial cells of serous acinus and granular convoluted tubule in submaxillary gland of rats , thus this study further proves that the submandibular gland is the target organ of FSH .
2.Morphological effect of hypertonic sodium chloride on rabbit kidney with hypovolemic shock——ultrastractural observation
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(01):-
In the present experiments, the effect of hypertonic NaCl infusion on the renal ultrastructure in rabbits with hypovolemia was examined by electron microscopy. Rabbits were anasthetized with pentobarbital sodium and submitted to control bleeding and held at a mean arterial pressure of 40 mm Hg for 45 minutes. They were then given 6 ml/kg i. v. of 1) isotonic NaCl (300 mosm/L; 2) hypertonic NaCl (2400mosm/L). Only animals receiving hypertonic NaCl had immediate and permanent resto ration of mean arterial pressure and nearly intact ultrastructure of nephron. However, the animals with isotonic NaCl had an ischemic changes of nephron ultrastructure and unrestored mean arterial pressure.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2009;17(8):626-635
Ischemic cerebrovascular disease may result in severe neurological deficits, and even death. Rho kinase is an important downstream substrate of Rho protein. It involves in multiple biological effects, including vascular smooth muscle contraction, cell migration, inflammatory cell infiltration and vascular endothelial dysfunction. It plays important roles in the processes of the occurrence, development and expansion of infarct volume in ischemic cerebrovascular disease. Rho kinase inhibitor can effectively relax vascular spasm, reduce local inflammatory response, protect endothelial function, increase blood flow in ischemic region, reduce infarct volume, and improve neurological function.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
An ultrastructural analysis of distal nephron has been investigated using morphometric method for rats with hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. The cells analysed were distal convoluted tubule cells (DCT cells), distal straight tubule cells (DST cells), intercalated cells (I cells) and principal cells (P cells) of collecting duct. The cells were sampled from superficial cortex. The results revealed that in DCT, DST and P cells the profile area of cells, the surface density of plasma membrane (Sv), the boundary length of cell surface [B(A)], the volume density (Vv) of mitochondria, and the length of microvilli were significantly decreased in the rat with hypothyroidism. However, in the rat with hyperthyroidism there were an obvious increase of profile area of cell and Vv of mitochondria in I cells. The results suggest that thyroid hormone is an important factor for maintaining the normal cellular structure in the distal nephron. The morphometry shows that the changes of DCT, DST and P cells are distinct in the rat with hypothyroidism, and the ultrastructural changes of I cell are obvious in the rat with hyperthyroidism.

BACKGROUND: Hematogenesis of a body mainly depends on the proliferation of hematopoietic progenitor cell (HPC). Hematopoietic functional impairment will occur when hematopoietic cells are injured by radioactive ray or chemical drug. The proliferation of HPC is the key link of promoting hematogenesis.OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of nine monomers extracted from Spatholobus suberectus Dunn (SSD) on proliferation of HPC in marrow-depressed mice. DESIGN: Randomized controlled trial.SETTING: Department of Pharmacy, General Hospital of Chinese PLA.MATERIALS: This experiment was conducted in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, General Hospital of Chinese PLA from November 2002 to February 2003. Totally 348 healthy Kunming mice, weighing 22-25g, clean grade, of irrespective gender, were selected in this study (certification: SCXK-2001-001). The animal experiment was approved by the local ethics committee. SSD was provided by Dispensary of Traditional Chinese Medicine, General Hospital of Chinese PLA; monomers (gallocatechin, formononetin, catechin, pyromucic acid, syringic acid, Demethylvestitol, 1,3,5-benzenetriol, ononin, and epicatechin) were extracted from SSD acetoacetate; TGL-16 centrifuger was made in Shanghai 6th Medical Equipment Factory; CO2 incubator was made in SANYO Company, Japan; MK inverted microscope was provided by OLYMPUS Company, Japan.METHODS: Experimental grouping: Mice were randomly divided into 29 groups, including normal group; control group; gallocatechin high-, medium-, low-dose groups; formononetin high-, medium-, low-dose groups; catechin high-, medium-, low-dose groups; pyromucic acid high-, medium-, low-dose groups; syringic acid high-, medium-, low-dose groups; Demethylvestitol high-, medium-, low-dose groups; 1,3,5-benzenetriol high-, medium-, low-dose groups; ononin high-, medium-, low-dose groups; epicatechin high-, medium-, low-dose groups with 12 mice in each group. Experimental intervention: All the mice except the mice in normal group had been given total body sublethal dose of irradiation by 60Co γ-ray (215.3 rontgen/min, 4 Gy dose rate, irradiation time of 107.5 seconds). Normal saline was injected intraperitoneally into 8 mice in normal group and control group at the third day after inadiation. Stored solution 2,0.4,0.08g/L of each monomer was intraperitoneally injected into the mice in each monomer high-, medium-, low-dose groups, respectively, at the third day after irradiation. Experimental evaluation: Thirty minutes after administration, blood of 8 mice in normal, control group and 12 mice in other groups was collected and normal, control and each dose monomer-containing serums were obtained after centrifugation for 15 minutes, filtering through 0.45μm filter membrane. Then 4 mice in normal and control group were killed to study the effects of nine monomers on proliferation of HPC in marrow-depressed mice by counting erythrocyte colony-forming unit (CFU-E), burst-forming uniterythroid (BFU-E), granulocyte-macrophage colony-forming unit (CFU-GM), and megakaryocyte colony-forming unit (CFU-Meg).MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: CFU-GM, CFU-E, BFU-E, and CFU-Meg in each group. RESULTS: Totally 348 mice were included in the final analysis. CFU-E: The quantity of CFU-E in high-dose of catechin, gallocatechin, syningic acid, and epicatechin groups was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05-0.01) while the quantity of CFU-E in medium-and low-dose of catechin and medium-dose of gallocatechin was also significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). CFU-GM: Except pyromucic acid and ononin groups, the amount of CFU-GM in other groups was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.01). BFU-E: Compared with control group, the amount of BFU-E remarkably increased under the effect of each dose of catechin, gallocatechin, syringic acid and high-, medium-dose of epicatechin (P<0.05). CFU-Meg: The amount of CFU-Meg in high-, low-dose syringic acid groups, low-dose gallocatechin groups and each dose group of catechin and epicatechin was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Amount of all colonies in the control group was significantly lower than that in the normal group (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Nine monomers extracted from SSD can promote the proliferation of HPC in bone marrow depressed mice. In particular, the activity of catechin to stimulate proliferation is the strongest.

Aim To study the antipsychotic effects of l-Scoulerine ( l-SLR) . Methods NMDAreceptorantag-onist MK-801 was used to induce the positive and neg-ative symptoms of schizophrenia and cognitive impair-ment in animal models. The effects of l-SLR were eval-uated on schizophrenia induced by MK-801 and on ex-trapyramidal system. Results l-SLR (10,15 mg · kg - 1 , ip) could suppress pre-pulse inhibition damage in rats induced by MK-801 (0. 3 mg·kg - 1 , ip); l-SLR(30 mg·kg - 1 , ip) could inhibit climbing behav-iors in mice induced by apomorphine, which suggested that l-SLR had significant inhibiting effects on the posi-tive symptoms of schizophrenia by MK-801 and apo-morphine. l-SLR could also induce social contact inhi-bition and cognitive impairment induced by MK-801 (0. 2 mg · kg - 1 , ip), which proposed that l-SLR could improve the negative symptoms and cognitive im-pairment by MK-801. Catalepsy in mice could be caused by the treatment dose of haloperidol (0. 8 mg· kg - 1 , ip), not by that of l-SLR(30 mg·kg - 1 , ip). Conclusion I-SLR has significant effects on the posi-tive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia and cogni-tive impairment and, the effect of l-SLR under effective dose on extrapyramidal system is obviously much less than that of haloperidol and l-SPD.
