Objective: To explore clinical observation of magnesium sulfate and nifedipine treatment of pregnancy-induced hypertension. Methods:Retrospective analysis from December 2009 to November 2011 in our hospital was conducted. Sixty cases of pregnant women with severe pregnancy-induced hypertension divided into two groups. The clinical efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions were observed in patients. Results: The overall response rate(90.0%)was significantly higher overall response rate (73.3%) in observation group. The observation group patients(13.3%) was significantly lower than the control group, the totalefficiency (23.3%),the result is significant(t=2.240, P<0.05). Conclusion: Magnesium sulfate and nifedipine treatment of pregnancy-induced hypertension has significant efficacy and good safety.

The "Xiang" in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) contains various meanings such as phenomena, image and symbols. When we consider it as a thinking mode, "Xiang" permeates into all TCM aspects from natural phenomena, anatomical structures of human tissues to physiological functions as well as pathological manifestations of zang-fu organs. In addition, it may have profound but different connotations. The authors of this article analyzed the "Xiang" in TCM according to the "Xiang" of nature, "Xiang" of zang-organs, "Xiang" of spirit, "Xiang" of pulse (pulse conditions) and "Xiang" of tongue (tongue conditions).

Objective To study the detection and significance of serum ICAM-1 and E-selectin in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods Double antibody sandwich quantitative enzyme fined immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method was used to measure the serum levels of serum ICAM-I and E-selectin in 60 patients with COPD,52 exacerbated patients,52 stable patients and 30 normal control subjects.Results The levels of serum ICAM-1 and E-selectin in COPD group and exacerbated patients were significantly higher than those in normal controls (P＜0.01) ; these in stable patients were significantly lower than those of exacerbated patients (P＜0.01),and significantly higher than those exacerbated patients(P＜0.05).Conclusion ICAM-1 and E-selectin were involved in occurrance and development process of COPD.

ObjectiveTo explore the scientific and effective management of subsidization for students in poverty and to build a rational, scientific-supporting system of poor students. MethodsAnalyzing the data of the poverty status and funding, of poor students in 2006-2009 in an independent Institute ResultsAmong all the means of subsidization for students in poverty, study aid covers most and the number of students who get this aid is increasing while there are fewer national scholarships and living subsidies. ConclusionSupporting system of poor students is not perfect enough, and institutions of higher learning should find the practical way to help our poor students complete their studies successfully.

In total, 4006 women aged 25 -65 years at Qiaozi Town, Huairou District, Beijing were screened for cervical cancer during April to June, 2009. Results showed that 54. 52% of the women screened suffered from varied gynecological illness, highest in those aged 30 - 34 years ( 80. 90% ) and lowest in those aged 50 -54 years. The top three gynecological morbidity among them were cervicitis (34. 77% ), virginities ( 12. 88% ) and uterine leiomyoma (8. 34% ). Precancerous lesions in 12 women,endometrial cancer in one woman and cervical cancer in one woman were detected by cervical cytological examinations.

Objective To develop a pathology information system and provide a pathology testing platform with digitalization,normalization and optimization. Methods Based on the principal and requirement of information engineering theory to analyze the profession,flow-sheet management and data needs of pathology information system. The pathology examination and related testing were analyzed mainly,included some special requirements in installation of work position,quality control,cost management,which were transformed conceptual and logical structure of database and realized physical composition on Oracle database. The reciprocal software codes were researched by PB program,which can build database in servers and install application software in front end computer. Results The system that was specified the components of the clinical data entry,pathology examination registry,clinical document repository,EMR application server and the e-node accessing server. The system was tested and the result indicated that the system was an effective and scalable. Conclusion The pathology information system can be not only used realize the sharing of EMR documents across multiple hospital,but also support the collection clinical data within hospital clinical system integration.

[Objective] To observe the effect of Puji Xiaodu Decoction (PXD) on immune function in mice. [Methods] Thirty NIH mice were randomized into three groups. Group A was treated with normal saline, group B with 2.9 g/kg PXD and group C with 11.6 g/kg PXD for 7 days. After treatment, interleukin 2 (IL-2) production and natural killer cell (NK) activity in splenocytes and lymphocyte proliferation in the spleen were detected. Methods: The scale of Life Quality, Social Support Inventory, Life Satisfaction Index A(LSIA), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HAD), degree of pain (Verbal Report Scale, VRS) and Activities of Daily Living(ADL) were administered in 152 elderly hospitalized terminal patients. BACKGROUND: The rehabilitative intervention accelerates the recombination and reconstruction of cerebral structure and function and then promotes the amelioration of function.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the influence of early and late rehabilitative interventions on the motor function and activities of daily living (ADL) with neurologic deficit score (NDS), Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) and modified Barthel index in patients with cerebral infarction.DESIGN: A randomized controlled trial.SETTING: Department of Neurology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University; Department of Rehabilitation, Jinan Great Wall Hospital; Department of Neurology, the Third People' s Hospital of Heze.PARTICIPANTS: Totally 216 inpatients with cerebral infarction (125 males and 91 females, aged 60-75 years), who were selected from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, Jinan Great Wall Hospital and the Third People's Hospital of Heze from December 2000 to December 2003, were randomly divided into early rehabilitation group (n=108) and late rehabilitation group (n=108) after admission.INTERVENTIONS: In the early rehabilitation group, the patients began to receive rehabilitation at 48 hours to 14 days after the stability of vital signs and absence of the progress of neurological signs. In the late rehabilitation group, the patients began to receive rehabilitation at 15-30 days after attack. They were trained with Bobath method and motor relearning program, once a day, 45 minutes for each time, and 6 times every week.Before and 30 days after the rehabilitative treatment, the rehabilitation was evaluated with modified Barthel index (100 points as normal, 0-20 as extremely severe functional defect, 25-45 as severe functional defect, 50 -70 as moderate functional defect, 75-95 as mild functional defect), FMA (total score was 100 points, including the highest scores of upper and lower limb movement were 66 and 34 points respectively) and NDS (the highest and lowest scores were 45 and 0 point, 0-15 as mild, 16-30 as moderate, 31-45as severe).ter treatment.RESULTS: All the 216 patients with cerebral infarction were involved in obviously lower than that before treatment in both groups (P ＜ 0.01), lower in the early rehabilitation group than in the late rehabilitation group score at 30 days after treatment was obviously higher than that before treat ment in both groups (P ＜ 0.01), higher in the early rehabilitation group than in the late rehabilitation group [upper limb: (32.43±21.52), (26.69±19.79)dex: The modified Barthel index at 30 days after treatment was obviously higher than that before treatment in both groups (P ＜ 0.01), higher in the early rehabilitation group than in the late rehabilitation group [(54.23±30.33),(46.57±29.85) points, P ＜ 0.05].CONCLUSION: Both early and late rehabilitative interventions can obviously accelerate the recovery of neurological function, motor function and ADL, but the effect of early rehabilitative intervention is superior to that of the late one.

Objective To study and contruct competency characteristic evaluation models of nursing supervisors in secondly hospitals.Methods Using the matron semi-structured interviews,literature review,questionnaire survey and expert questionnaires to discuss the competency of nursing supervisors in secodary hospitals.Results We found that the competency model of nursing supervisors in secondary hospitals could better reflect the competency of nursing supervisors.The model had 16 competencies which included knewleage skills.management and individual characters.Conclusions Through the study of the model of competency nursing supervisors in secondary hospitals,we form a set of standard for nursing supervisor selection based on their competency.The standard can help to select the most suited nursing supervisors who have great potentials.
