Objective In order to investigate the influence of reelin deficiency on the hippocampal development, the histochemical characteristics of hippocampal pyramidal cells and granule cells of reeler mice were analyzed, therefore, reelin's function would be better understood with more morphological evidences. Methods With immunofluorescent double labeling, the pyramidal cells, granule cells and mossy cells in hippocampi between wild type and reeler mice were labeled. Results The development and lamination of hippocampal cortical plate were in disorder. Pyramidal cells and granule cells dispersed, and moreover, granule cells proliferated rapidly and migrated into hilus, so that the bound between granule layer and hilus disappeared. Conclusion As a stop signal and regulatory signal, reelin plays important roles in neuronal migration of developing cortical plate, especially in the regulation of granule cell proliferation.

Objective To investigate the expression of gene Fmr1 in rats cortex, hippocampus and hypothalamus areas after the rapid eyes movement ( REM ) sleep deprivation .Methods Using the modified multiple platform method (MMPM), 126 rats were randomly and averagely divided into three groups , the normal control group ( CC), the environmental control group (TC) and the sleep deprivation group (SD).Each group was detected on day 1, day 2, day 3, day 5, day 7, and day 9, and the sample tissues were extracted from 7 rats at each time point.Immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR were operated to analysis the expression of gene Fmr 1.Results The expressions of gene Fmr1 were increased gradually in the cortex and thalamus of the SD group after 3 days ( P <0.05 ) , and the expressions in the CC and TC groups had no significant difference (P >0.05).The expressions of gene Fmr1 were decreased gradually in hippocampus for SD after 3 days ( P <0.05 ) , and that in the CC and TC groups had no significant difference ( P >0.05 ) . Conclusion The expressions of gene Fmr 1 were increased gradually in the cortex and thalamus but decreased in the hippocampus in the SD group after 3 days.

Objective To explore the relationship between college students' psychological health status, family parenting styles and personality characteristics using the structural equation model. Methods A total of 4 866 College students (2 122 males,2 744 females) were surveyed with NEO five-factor inventory (NEO-FFI),family upbringing style questionnaire(FUSQ) and psychological symptom inventory-100(PSI-100).Lisrel 8.7 was used to construct the structural equation model. Results NEO-FFI total score was 198.08±15.31,PSI-100 total score was 167.08±68.23,father upbringing style questionnaire total score was 457.80±62.10,and mother upbringing style questionnaire total score was 459.27±61.91.For the factors of personality, the more influential factors were agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness. There was a negative correlation between good personality and psychological symptoms(path coefficient =-0.73,P<0.05).For the factors of family parenting styles, parenting dimension scores (such as mother's democracy, encouragement, understanding, father's supervision, respect) were negatively correlated with psychological symptom scores(path coefficient=-0.18,P<0.05).Conclusion Family parenting styles can directly affect the psychological symptoms and the personality status, thereby affecting mental health of college students.Personality characteristics could be a mediated variable to regulate the relationship between family parenting styles and psychological health of college students.

In order to establish a method for measuring quantitatively turbulent shear stress (TSS) downstream of mitral stenosis in vivo based on Doppler echocardiography and computer-aided image analysis, we used doppler echocardiography to record the spectrum of flow velocity downstream of mitral valve at several locations in normal persons and in patients with mitral stenosis. With the computer-aided analysis of spectrum images, the magnitude of TSS was measured at the locations. The results demonstrate that no matter how severe the mitral stenosis is, the TSS and relative turbulent intensity(Irel) at the central locations of jet are lower than those at the marginal ones. A significant difference in the quantitative items of TSS, Irel and flow field uniformity between normal persons and patients with varying-degree of mitral stenosis was noticed (P < 0.05). There was a significant correlation between these items and effective orifice area (EOA), and we found that the smaller EOA is, the more severe the extent of stenosis is and the greater the magnitude of both TSS and Irel are, and that the highest magnitude of TSS is focused on the marginal area of jet. These results indicate that there is an obvious correlation between TSS(measured by Doppler echocardiography combined with computer-aided image analysis) and flow field uniformity. They can coincidently reveal the hemodynamic changes resulting from mitral stenosis of varied severeness, implying that our method could exactly depict the magnitude of TSS downstream of mitral stenosis in vivo and is non-invasive and good for anti-disturbance. The method can be used to analyze quantitatively TSS in the flow field of heart valve in patients with valvular diseases.

Acute Stanford type A aortic dissection with important branches involved is more complex, could lead to organ malperfusion syndrome even organ failure. The understanding of pathological anatomy, classification, staging, and the pathophysiological change has increasingly mature, but not complete. In addition, the treatment strategy for complex lesions is diversified, some questions may not reach consensus. Fully understanding of the anatomical and pathophysiology is very important for surgeons to choose reasonable treatment strategy. As the rapid development of the basic research, imaging techniques and the concept of surgery procedures, the manage technique of Stanfrod type A dissection and branch vessels at the same time is getting seriously, the related issues also need further discussions.
