1.Treatment of 212 patients with limited-disease small cell lung cancer

Objective To review the treatment effect of limited disease small cell lung cancer (LD-SCLC) and to evaluate the prognosis factors for SCLC. Methods From Aug. 2002 to Feb. 2006, 212 patients of SCLC confirmed with pathology and cytology were. Treated by combined modality. All patients were treated with chemotherapy 2-6 cycles, 59 patients of which were treated with only chemotherapy, 108 patients of which were treated with chemotherapy plus radiotherapy, 45 patients of which were treated with surgery plus chemotherapy with or without radiotherapy. The patients of radiotherapy were exposed to 6 or 10 MV X-ray with a total dose of 40-66 Gy in 4-7 weeks. Results The overall median survival time was 15 months. The 1-,2- and 3-year overall survival rate were 58.0%, 33.2% and 22.1%, respectively. Univariate analysis indicated that weight loss, age, LDH, ECOG performance status, operation, response to radio-chemotherapy, cycles for chemotherapy, radiotherapy irflueoced survival significantly in LD-SCLC. Multivariate analysis suggested that ECOG performance status, response to therapy, cycles for chemotherapy were the independent prognostic factors for LD-SCLC. Conclusions For LD-SCLC patients, ECOG performance ≤ 1, good response to radio-chemotherapy, and ≥ 4 cycles chemotherapy show encouraging survival rate, Distance metastasis is still the mainstay of treatment failure.
2.Application of MR Fat Saturation Sequence in Acute Spinal Trauma

Objective To further study the value of MR T2WI fat saturation sequence in acute Spinal Trauma. Methods 109 cases of acute Spinal Trauma underwent MR imaging were analysed retrospectively. The detection rate of lesions with bone marrow edema, Vertebral fracture and spinal cord injury was compared in T2WI and FS T2WI. Results FS T2WI could detect more lesions of obscure fracture and bone marrow edema than that in T2WI,and it could accurately show the extent and the feature of anatomic structure in acute injury of bone. Conclusion FS T2WI can improve the diagnostic sensition and accuracy in Spinal Trauma, and it should be used as a routine MR sequence for detecting Spinal Trauma.
3.The protective effect of hydroxytyrosol on contrast-induced nephropathy and endoplasmic reticulum stress

Objective To investigate the expression of glucose-regulated protein 78(GRP78)and cysteine aspartic acid protease 12(Caspase-12) and evaluate the endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) in rats with contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN),and observe the protective effects of hydroxytyrosol on CIN rats.Methods Eighty-four Wistar rats,(220±20) g,were randomly divided into control group,CIN group,hydroxytyrosol treated group (group C+H).At 12th,24th,48th,72th day after the rats model were established,BUN and Scr were detected.ELISA were used to detect the expression of methane dicarboxylic aldehyde (MDA),superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px).HE staining were used to evaluate the pathological change of kidney.TUNEL were used to detect the apoptosis of tubular ceils.Real-time PCR were used to detect the expression of GRP78 mRNA and Caspase-12 mRNA in tubular cells.Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of GRP78 and Caspase-12 protein in tubular cells.Results BUN,Scr,the mRNA and protein expression of GRP78,Caspase-12 in hydroxytyrosol treated group were higher than that in control group(P < 0.05),but were significantly lower than that in CIN group (P < 0.05).Pathological changes and the apoptosis of tubular cells in CIN group were more serious than that in hydroxytyrosol treated group (P < 0.05).Conclusions Endoplasmic reticulum stress may be associated with contrast-induced nephropathy.Hydroxytyrosol can protect kidney from contrast medium via reducing the endoplasmic reticulum stress.

In this study, 38 experimental subjects of diabetes mellitus were given pectin 25g extra per day orally under carefully controlled dietary plan for six weeks. ObjectiveComparingfourgroupsofimmunosuppressivemousemodelsestablishedby cyclophosphamide administration in different doses and periods , we used partial least squares ( PLS) analysis to evaluate the immunosuppressive mouse models comprehensively and select the appropriate way to establish this model .Methods In this experimental study, 58 male KM mice were randomly divided into five groups: normal group (10 mice) were given normal saline daily by i.p.injection, model group 1 (12 mice) was given 40 mg/kg CTX daily by i.p.injection for 10 days, model group 2 (12 mice) was given 80 mg/kg CTX daily by i.p.injection for 3 days, model group 3 (12 mice) was given 40 mg/kg CTX daily by i.p.injection twice for a week, model group 4 (12 mice) was given 50 mg/kg CTX daily by i.p.injection for 7 days.After the injection of cyclophosphamide , the daily metabolic activities were detected everyday such as body weight , water intake , and food intake , organ index and immunological indexes such as blood RT of the model mice were measured as well .Using partial least squares ( PLS) analysis to the models and analyzing the final weight , final anal temperature , organ index , and blood routine examination in order to evaluate the immunosuppressive mouse models comprehensively .Results Compared with the normal group , different dosages of CTX reduced the weight and anal temperature of model mice (P<0.05), the food intake and water intake (P<0.01), and the spleen index and thymus index ( P<0.01 ) .Besides , the amount and percentage of basophilic granulocytes decreased ( P <0.05 ) , and the percentage of MCHC , macrophage went up , as well as the absolute value of WBC and lymphocytes were decreased in the model groups 1, 2, and 4 (P<0.05).According to the PLS analysis, there were significant differences among models 1, 2, and 4 when compared with the normal group , especially the most different in the model group 1.Conclusions After the PLS analysis of different indexes , the optimal way to establish immunosuppressive mouse models is the procedure with 40 mg/kg CTX daily injected i .p.for ten days .Our findings provide experimental evidence for the establishment of immunosuppressive mouse models .
6.Clinical Observation of Azithromycin Sequential Therapy Combined with Terbutaline in the Treatment of My-coplasma Pneumonia

OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of azithromycin sequential therapy combined with terbutaline in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia. METHODS:130 children with mycoplasma pneumonia were randomly divided into control group and observation group. Control group was given azithromycin sequential therapy by using 10 mg/kg Azithromycin dispersible tablet by intravenous infusion,once a day,for continuous 3-5 d,then rested for 4 d,and then given 10 mg/kg Azithromycin dis-persible tablet at a draught,once a day,for continuous 3 d,then rested for 4 d;observation group was additionally given 2.5 mg Terbutaline injection adding into 5 ml sodium chloride injection by inhalation via oxygen atomization,twice a day,10-15 min ev-ery times,and then the children were fed with warm boiled waterafter atomization. The treatment course for both groups was 4 weeks. Clinical efficacy,and changes of cytokines levels [tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6 (IL-6),IL-8],disap-peared time of related symptoms and signs (wheezing,rales,coughing,fever),hospitalization time before and after treatment, and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:After treatment,the effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than control group,levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-8 were significantly lower than control group,disap-peared time of related symptoms and signs and hospitalization time were significantly shorter than control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between 2 groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Azithromycin sequential therapy combined with terbutalineaerosol therapycan effectively improve the cytokines levels and clinical efficacy,with good safety.
7.Effects of Yuanzhi San on Ethology and Cerebral Acetylcholinesterase Activity of Memory Disorder Mouse Model Induced by Scopolamine

Objective To observe the effects of Yuanzhi San (YZS) on the ethology and cerebral acetylcholinesterase(AchE) activity of mouse model of memory disorder induced by scopolamine. Methods Sixty mice were randomly divided into six groups, namely blank control group, model group, positive medicine group, and low-dose, middle-dose and high-dose YZS groups. Except for the blank control group and model group were given the normal saline, the mice in other groups were administered with the corresponding drugs for 10 days. And then, mice in the medication groups were given subcutaneous injection of scopolamine in the dose of 3mg/kg to induce memory disorder model. Morris water maze test and step-down test were adopted for the observation of the learning-memory ability of the mice, and at the end of the tests, the activity of AchE in mouse cerebral cortex was measured by a biochemical method. Results Compared with the model group, escape latency was decreased, and retention time and swimming distance in the effective area in Morris water maze test were prolonged in YZS groups (P<0.05); latency in step-down test was also prolonged (P<0.05). YZS had an effect on decreasing AchE activity in the cerebral cortex of model mice (P < 0.05 compared with the model group). However, the differences were insignificant among the medication groups(P>0.05). Conclusion YZS exerts certain effect on improving learning-memory ability of memory disorder mice induced by scopolamine , and the mechanism might be related with the inhibition of AchE activity in the cerebral cortex of model mice.
8.Correlation between the expression of aquaporin 1 and the micro-angiogenesis in laryngeal carcinoma.

OBJECTIVE:
To confirm the expression and distribution of aquaporin 1 in laryngeal carcinoma, and analyze the correlation to micro angiogenesis in the development of laryngeal carcinoma.
METHOD:
The expression and distribution of aquaporin 1 were examined by immunohistochemical technique in laryngeal carcinoma. New vessels were labelled using CD105 monoclonal antibody. Systematic analysis had been done on IMVD and data of clinical pathology.
RESULT:
Positive AQP1 cells and IMVD in primary carcinoma were higher than that in normal laryngeal mucosa. The expression of AQP1 was gradually increased with the decrease of differentiation grade of laryngeal carcinoma. The expression of AQP1 in lymphatic metastasis groups was higher than that of controls.
CONCLUSION
The expression of AQP1 in tumor cells and IMVD of primary laryngeal carcinoma are higher than normal. Not only is increased expression of AQP1 positive relevant to IMVD, but to lymphatic metastasis and malignant cell grading from laryngeal carcinoma. The increased AQP1 expression in epithelial cells of carcinoma and vascular endothelial cells may play a considerable role in growing, infiltrating, metastasis of malignant tumor by promoting vascular permeability.

9.Effects of elastic band resistance training on the balance ability of inpatients in Geriatrics Department

Objective:To explore the effect of elastic band resistance training in the balance ability training of inpatients in Geriatric Department.Methods:From January to December 2019, 70 inpatients in the Geriatrics Department of a ClassⅡ general hospital in Beijing were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 35 cases in each group. Control group used routine exercise health education and supervised patients to complete the activity. On the basis of control group, observation group carried out balance training according to the elastic band resistance training method. Before and after the intervention, the differences in the grip strength, Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) , single-legged standing with eyes closed, and Timed up and Go (TUG) test of patients were compared between the two groups.Results:After 12 weeks of intervention, patients of observation group had grip strength (27.371±8.769) kg, total SPPB score (8.657±1.259) , time of single-legged standing with eyes close (5.151±1.551) s, and TUG test (14.031±3.666) s, higher than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant ( t=3.148, 5.505, 31.128, 2.269; P<0.05) . Conclusions:Elastic band resistance training can improve the limb strength and balance ability of elderly hospitalized patients, which can be further promoted.

Hippo signaling pathway plays a significant role in the development of colorectal cancer,and acts as an important regulatory pathway which regulates cell proliferation and cell differentiation.Multiple proteins and genes in Hippo signaling pathway,especially the downstream YAP protein,play important roles in the occurrence,metastasis,drug resistance and recurrence of colorectal cancer.YAP and other related genes can be used as targeted markers for predicting drug resistance to colorectal cancer.Hippo signaling pathway gene network can be used as targeted therapy or combination therapy,thus providing new ideas for the treatment of colorectal cancer.
