Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2005;9(17):202-204
BACKGROUND: The minimal latency and conduction velocity of F-wave have been widely used for the detection of varied neurological disorders, whereas the significance and the diagnostic value for the other parameters of F wave are seldom reported. How sensitive are these parameters in the earlier evaluation of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) ?OBJECTIVE: To investigate the evaluating value of F-wave parameters for the earlier DPN, providing references for earlier clinical rehabilitative intervention.DESIGN: Case-control study with type 2 diabetic patients and health people as subjects.SETTING: The wards and outpatients in the Departments of Neurology and Endocrinology, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University.PARTICIPANTS: Between January 1999 and December 2000, there were totally 106 patients with type 2 diabetic mellitus(DM) at the wards and outpatients in the department of neurology and endocrinology in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, including 64 males and 42 females, with the average age of (55 ± 13) years and the average DM course of (10.2 ± 4. 8)years. Meanwhile, 75 healthy volunteers were enrolled in the control group, including 45 males and 30 females, with the mean age of(54 ± 12) years. Two groups were matched in age and leg length( P > 0. 05).INTERVENTIONS: Using Nicolet Viking-Ⅳ, F wave and M-wave parameters of tibial nerve stimulation were analyzed.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The minimum latency (Fmin), duration (Fdur), amplitude(Famp) and area(Farca) of F wave; and the amplitude (Mamp)and aera(Marea) of M-wave.neuropathy( n = 30), there were 8 cases(the abnormal rate being 27% ) with increased Fdur, 4(13% ) with prolonged Fmin and 2(7% ) with increased F/Mamp and F/Marea increased significantly in the patients with DPN( n = 76).mality rate of Fdur was significantly higher (96% vs 21%, P <0.01), the abnormality rate of Fmin was significantly lower(51% vs 76%, P < 0.05 ) and there were no significant difference of other parameters( P > 0.05) in the patients with mild DPN subgroup ( n = 47).diagnostic parameter for earlier DPN, and therefore detect the sub-clinical DPN, and the proximal may be earlier involved than the distal.

Objectives To investigate the inlfuence of polymorphisms of SLC19A1 80G>A, MDR1 exon26C>T and MDR1 exon21G>T/A on curative effect and adverse reaction of high-dose methotrexate in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Methods MALDI-TOF-MS technique was used to detect the polymorphisms of SLC19A1 80G>A, MDR1 exon 26C>T and MDR1 exon21G>T/A in 108 patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The relationship of genetic polymorphism, survival rate and toxicity was analyzed. Results The 36-month event-free survival was not related to any polymorphisms of MDR1 and SLC19A1. Patients with mutant types of MDR1 exon26C>T and MDR1 exon21G>T/A showed a much higher MTX plasma levels at 24 hours and higher incidence of hepatic injury (P<0.05). Conclusions The genetic polymorphism of MDR1 exon26>T, MDR1 exon21G>T/A has a large inlfuence on hepatic toxicity and plasma concentra-tions of MTX.

Objective:To investigate the influence of the teaching model based on the synergy of medical education on the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) scores and critical thinking ability of interns in emergency department. Methods:A total of 84 students who studied as interns in Emergency Department of our hospital from January 2020 to 2021 were selected as research subjects, and they were divided into observation group and control group using a random number table, with 42 students in each group. The students in the control group were taught using traditional methods, while those in the observation group were taught based on the synergy of medical education. Both groups received an OSCE examination, and the two groups were compared in terms of OSCE score, critical thinking ability, and evaluation of teaching. SPSS 22.0 was used to perform the t-test and the chi-square test. Results:Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly higher scores of theoretical assessment, disease assessment, first aid measures, special skills, use of medical instruments, communication skills with SP, and medical record writing and a significantly higher total score of OSCE assessment ( P<0.05). After teaching, both groups had a significant increase in the score of critical thinking ability, and the observation group had a significantly higher score than the control group [(306.38±25.76) vs. (280.39±20.17)]. The observation group had a significantly higher degree of satisfaction with teaching than the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The teaching model based on the synergy of medical education can improve the OSCE score of interns in emergency department and cultivate their critical thinking ability, and there is a relatively high degree of satisfaction with this teaching model.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2019;40(11):1709-1711
Objective:
To analyze the teaching environment of primary, middle and high schools in Suzhou, and to explore the relevance of students’ myopia with teaching environment, as well as the key problems in teaching environment.
Methods:
1 253 classrooms in 204 schools rom 10 districts and counties in Suzhou were selected by proportionate stratified sampling. The qualified rate of each indices was described and the teaching environment by county, learning stage were compared by using chi-squared test. The Spearman test is used to explore correlations between myopia with monitoring indicators.
Results:
The qualified rate of the distance from lamp to table was the highest (98.56%), while matching rate of student desk and chair was the lowest(0.96%). Minimum lamp table spacing, blackboard average illumination, reflectance from blackboard wall, classroom per capita area, classroom microclimate differed significantly in urban and rural (P<0.05); daylighting coefficient, reflectance from walls, average illumination of desktop and blackboard, classroom per capita area, and microclimate indicator were statistically different by learning stages(r=0.42,P<0.05). Prevalence of myopia correlated with the index of lighting.
Conclusion
Qualified desks and matched chairs, as well as the daylighting design in classroom should receive more attention in Suzhou. The findings lend support to identification of key health priorities and formulation of the localized health practice for health administrations.
