Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effeet of transurethral non-contact laser in the bladder neck stricture. Methods Q-9000 laser generator was used. The Nd-YAG laser was located to the bladder neck by laser fiber(USA).The bladder neck was cut on the point of 12 and 6 in all 39 cases. Results The maximum urinary flow was increased from (8.2?2.4)ml/s to (16.5?3.2)ml/s after operation. Conclusions Transurethral non-contact laser is effective for the treatment of bladder neck stricture.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of 3-dimentional spiral computer tomography (3 D- sCT) in patients with upper urinary tract obstruction. Methods 113 patients with upper urinary tract obstruction were subjected to 3D-sCT. Results The site of urinary tract obstruction and hydronephrosis were distinctly shown in all patients by 3D-sCT. 112 of them were confirmed by ESWL, pathological or operative findings. Conclusions 3D-sCT can exactly show the location, cause and interaction of the upper urinary obstruction, and is especially applied to patients with resultless IVP and unable to retrograde pyelography.

Autophagy is induced by a variety of signals during ischemia and reperfusion.Autophagy has been shown to protect cardiac cells and to reduce the cell loss, but it also has been shown that enhanced autophagy contributes to cell death during I/R.

Effects of Jinma Tongluo capsule (JT C) on the incidence of micronucleu s of marrow cells in mice with Kunming species were reported. JTC intragastric d osages of 100 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg, 1600 mg/kg (equivalent to 3, 12 and 48 times of the clinical dosage respectively) were given to the mice.Twenty-four hours later th e mice were e xecuted and the marrow cells were examined. The incidence of micronucleus was 2 .00‰, 1.83‰, 2.17‰ respectively. In the group of dosage of 1600 mg/kg, the inci dence was maintained in the normal limits within 12~72h. And the differences we r e not significant as compared with the negative group and the solvent control gr oup. It's indicated that ig total alkalin of Flos Daturae under 0.86 mg/kg has no effect on micronucleus of mice marrow cells.

The standardization of acupuncture and moxibustion in Canada is increasingly flouring nowadays:on one hand, acupuncture industry in legislated provinces is in the charge of direct administrative departments and associations of acu-moxi; on the other hand, according to the local situations, relevant regulations have been made, which are concentrated on two aspects-technical and administrative standards.Undoubtedly,Canadian Alliance of Regulatory Bodies for TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturist (CARB),united by each provincial TCM/Acupuncture Administration,is the first step to issue federal standards and establish federal level management institution. However, now the releasing of a fundamental regulatory file is in need of active corporation and publicity from each province and association. Therefore,it shows that the body of standardization in Canada is still not relatively perfect.Through introducing and analyzing the relevant information, the author expects that the readers can know the current development of acupuncture and moxibustion standardization in Canada.

Twenty-two items of national criteria of acupuncture-moxibustion operation standardization have been issued by the People’s Republic of China. To understand the situation of use of these criteria, the authors analyzed and studied the situation of application of acupuncture-moxibustion criteria in related papers, textbooks and monographs to provide a basis for further establishing and revising the criteria. The results show that people are building awareness of use of acupuncture-moxibustion criteria, and the criteria have gradually been used in more and more papers, textbooks and works.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2022;30(3):206-209
Post-stroke dementia (PSD) includes all types of dementia after stroke, which may be the result of cumulative effects of cerebrovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, and white matter changes. The incidence and prevalence of PSD are high. Its risk factors are mainly vascular risk factors, such as hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and diabetes. Other risk factors also include various imaging phenotypes of cerebrovascular disease, such as white matter hyperintensities, cerebral microbleeds, and brain atrophy. The clinical evaluation of PSD should be conducted at least 3-6 months after the onset of stroke. The prevention of PSD should focus on controlling vascular risk factors and preventing stroke.

Androgen receptor (AR) plays a key regulatory role in the development of castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), and the level of constitutive active variants represented by androgen receptor variant 7 (AR-V7) is increasing during the progress of CRPC, which can be used as a molecular marker of disease progress and prognosis of patients with CRPC. It is an important target to overcome castration resistance and improve the quality of life and survival of patients. In this paper, the function of AR-V7 and its molecular regulation mechanism in CRPC are reviewed. The research shows that the generation of AR-V7 is related to the structural rearrangement of AR gene, gene amplification and the selective splicing of AR gene transcripts, and it is affected by the coordinated regulation of multiple signal pathway molecules such as TGF-β; AR-V7 changes the transport and nuclear localization mechanism of AR protein, and further affects the transcriptional expression of downstream target genes. AR-V7 antagonizes AR activity and blocks the differentiation process driven by AR and androgen, and inhibits the expression of tumor suppressor genes to stimulate the proliferation of tumor cells, thus promoting the progress of Pca. Related targeting studies have revealed AR-V7 targets and CRPC treatment strategies. Currently, they mainly focus on AR-V7 protein degradation, mRNA expression inhibition and N-terminal domain targeting intervention. With the development of in-depth research, the molecular mechanism of AR-V7 in the progress of Pca will be gradually clarified, which will certainly play a greater role in the prevention and treatment of CRPC.

Objective To compare echocardiogram and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Methods A total of 137 patients suspected of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy were recruited. All patients received three-dimensional echocardiogram followed by cardiac MRI, and the detection rate of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy was compared. Results A total of 96 eligible patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy were finally enrolledin this study, including 70 males (72.9%) and 26 females (27.1%), with a mean age of 48.2 ± 10.2 years. There was a significant difference in the detection rate of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy by echocardiogram (93.8%) and by cardiac MRI (100%) (χ2 = 4.30, P = 0.03). Among the 96 subjects, there was no significant difference in the mean value of maximum left ventricular wall thickness measured by echocardiogram and cardiac MRI (22.1 ± 8.9 vs 22.8 ± 9.2 mm; t = 1.23, P = 0.32). There was a significant difference in the mean thickness of the basal anterolateral free wall in the left ventricle (18.2 ± 7.8 vs 13.9 ± 7.1 mm; t = 9.40, P = 0.0007). Conclusion Cardiac MRI scanning is superior to echocardiogram for diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which may be used as an effective supplement to conventional echocardiogram.
