Objective To explore the correlation between BODE index with fatigue symptoms on COPD patients,and provide new ways for clinical evaluation,prediction,symptom control and establishment of effective management mode.Methods 120 COPD patients of stable stage were selected to be investigated and analyzed by the Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14),six-minute walking distance(6MWD),pulmonary func-tion test and the body mass index (BMI).Dyspnea was measured using the Medical Research Council (MRC) dyspnea scale.Results The fatigue symptoms showed high positive linear correlation with BODE index and mMRC,and significant negative correlation with 6 MWD,FEV1％ and BMI.Conclusions The study shows that fatigue symptoms had a higher prevalence in COPD patients of stable stage.There were a high correlation between fatigue symptoms with the BODE index,mMRC,6MWD,FEV1％ and BMI.The BODE index was a good predictor and evaluation of fatigue symptoms.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of TCM injection in the clinic. METHODS:In retrospective survey,the application of TCM injections in 3 hospitals from Changshu area during 2013-2015 were analyzed statistically in re-spects of consumption sum,annual growth rate,constituent ratio,DDDs,B/A,DDC,etc. RESULTS:During 2013-2015,in the sample hospitals,consumption sum of TCM injections in 2014 and 2015 declined by 5.27% and 15.92%,compared with last year. The proportion of consumption sum of TCM injections in total consumption sum were 4.40% in 2013,3.86% in 2014 and 3.13%in 2015. Top 3 TCM injections in the list of consumption sum and DDDs were blood activating and stasis eliminating drugs,the re-suscitation and reviving yang first aid class drugs and tonic drugs. The top single types in the list of consumption sum were Xing-naojing injection,Shuxuetong injection,Xuebijing injection,Shenmai injection and Xue shuantong for injection;the top single types in the list of DDDs were Shenmai injection,Reduning injection,Shuxuetong for injection,etc. B/A of Shenmai injection and Reduning injection were higher,while DDC of Xuebijing injection was the highest. CONCLUSIONS:The utilization of TCM injec-tion is basically reasonable,and shows decreasing tendency in sample hospitals,but great importance should be attached to the safe-ty and effectiveness of TCM injections and reasonable choice.

Ovbective To evaluate whether the deleterious effect of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) mediated by oxygen free radicals could be prevented by controlling PaO 2 in cyanotic children. Methods Cyanotic pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery (n=38) were randomly allocated into 2 groups. The groups matched in respect to sex,age,body surface area and preoperative ventricular function. Group H (n=18) had CPB initiated at a FiO 2 of 0.8,group L (n=18) had CPB initiated at a FiO 2 of 0.4. SOD and MDA were determined in arterial blood sample before CPB,30 minutes after initiation of CPB and 30 minutes post CPB. Various pulmonary parameters were determined 10 minutes after intubation,30 minutes after CPB,the 2nd hours and the 6th hours in the intensive care units. Results At the 6th hours in ICU,the mean postoperative increase in peak airway pressure and P(A-a)O 2/PaO 2 in group H was significant higher than that in group L(P

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of psychological care and community revisit on preven-tion of postpartum depression. Methods300 cases of pregnant women were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group with 150 cases in each group. The intervention group took psycho-logical care and community revisit, the control group received conventional care. The incidence of missing follow- up and depression in the two groups were compared using χ2 test. ResultsThe incidence of miss-ing follow-up and depression in the intervention group was significantly lower than those of the control group. ConclusionsPsychological care and community revisit can significantly reduce the occurrence of postpartum depression.

Objective To observe the therapeutical effect of inflatable shoulder harness on hemiplegia subluxation of shoulder joint.Methods 68 stroke patients with hemiplegia subluxation of shoulder joint were divided into two groups: the experiment group (n=34) and the control group (n=34). All the patients accepted routine rehabilitation for subluxation of shoulder joint, meanwhile, the experiment group wore inflatable shoulder harness. The interval between acromion and caput humeralis were measured according to the X-ray before and after treatment, as well as the Fugl-Meyer Assessment and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) of shoulder pain. Results After 8 week of treatment, the rate of diaplasis or improvement was not different significantly between these groups (P<0.05). Compared to the control group, the incidence and VAS score of shoulder pain, and the score of Fugl-Meyer Assessment improved significantly after the treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine rehabilitation, inflatable shoulder harness may reduce the incidence and grade of shoulder pain, improve motor function of hemiplegic upper limb further in hemiplegia subluxation of shoulder.

AIM: To preliminarily study the molecular mechanism for the cardiac injury in rat by adriamycin and the mechanism for the acute repair in the body. METHODS: The male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups (n=10 in each): The first group was kept without treament and served as the control ;the second, the third and the fourth received ADR in different doses (10, 20, 40 mg?kg -1 , respectively) by injection of adriamycin. The content of malondialdehyde (MDA)in the serum was estimated with thiobarbituric acid. Cu Zn SOD was measured by its reaction with xanthine oxidase. GSH was measured by its reaction with 5, 5 nitrobenzoic acid. Using semi quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR),we analyzed the expression of the associated gene. BACKGROUND: Telomerase can maintain the telomere length and avoid cel replicative senescence and apoptosis in somatic cells. Its catalytic subunit cal ed telomerase reverse transcriptase has roles in mediating cellsurvival and anti-apoptotic functions. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of human telomerase reverse transcriptase on amyloid β1-40-induced human embryonic cortical neurons injury. METHODS: Human cortical neurons derived from 12-16 weeks old aborted fetuses were transfected with recombinant adenovirus vector encoding human telomerase reverse transcriptase. Expression of human telomerase reverse transcriptase was evaluated by immunocytochemical staining. Telomerase activity was measured using a PCR-based telomeric repeat amplification protocol enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. Human embryonic cortical neurons were treated with 10 μmol/L ol/L amyloid β1-40 after transfected for 3 days. Cel viability, reactive oxygen species levels and glutathione contents in human embryonic cortical neurons were respectively detected by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay, fluorescent probe 2',7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate and chromatometry. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Expression of human telomerase reverse transcriptase reached peak at 3 days after transfection, and the telomerase activity was rebuilt; 10 μmol/L amyloid β1-40 could significantly reduce the cel viability of neurons and glutathione content (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01), and increase the reactive oxygen species levels (P < 0.05). The neurons transfected with human telomerase reverse transcriptase gene could be significantly against the toxicity of amyloid β1-40 and increase the cel viability and glutathione content (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01), and decrease the reactive oxygen species levels (P < 0.05). The results indicate that human telomerase reverse transcriptase can protect amyloid β1-40-induced human embryonic cortical neurons injury

Objective To develop an evidence-based community extended care model for patients with asthma.Methods Mixed research methods were applied to integrate best evidences:80 literatures were included in systemic review; 394 medical records were analyzed; 112 nurses admitted a test and a questionnaire to assess their competence on asthma care; clinical observation to both hospital and community centers were conducted; 6 multidisciplinary experts were consulted; and 100 patients admitted a questionnaire on patient needs and 17 of them were further interviewed.Results The nursing care model with the feature of hospital and community health service center collaborating to provide extended care for patients with asthma was established.Conclusions The development of a nursing care model for practice should be based on the current best evidence generating from the best research evidence,professional judgment on clinical practice requirement and patients' needs.

Objective To investigate the expression and chnical significance of β tubulin Ⅲ in locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC).Methods The expression of β tubulin Ⅲ in tumor tissue of 47 patients with LACC was detected by immunohistochemical SP method.The relationship between expression of β tubulin Ⅲ and neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) with paclitaxel,clinical data were analyzed retrospectively.Results The response rate of NACT was 72.3％ (34/47).The β tubulin Ⅲ positive expression rate was 72.3％(34/47),(+) expression rate was 40.4％(19/47),(++) expression rate was 12.8％(6/47),(+++) expression rate was 19.1％(9/47).The response rate of NACT in patients with (++) and (+++) expression was significantly lower than that in patients with (-) and (+) expression [46.7％(7/15)vs.84.4％ (27/32),P =0.007].The expression of β tubulin Ⅲ was related to pathological grade (P =0.021),it was not related to pathological type,clinical stage,status of lymph node metastasis (P =0.822,0.336,0.839).Conclusions The NACT of paclitaxel combined with cisplatin is effective to LACC.The abnormality expression of β tubulin Ⅲ in LACC tissue relates to drug resistance of paclitaxel and biological behavior of cervical cancer,it may be an index to predict prognosis of cervical cancer.

Objective To study the role of prefrontal cortex in maintenance of working memory(WM)using event-related functional MRI(ER-fMRI).Methods Twenty healthy subjects completed a relative lower,high load version of the sternberg item recognition task during ER-fMRI.The brain areas showing activity on average across the two loads for maintenance phase were obtained with group analysis.Load dependent activity was identified with inter-group analysis.Results The maintenance phase were relevant to the activity in dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPFC),ventrolateral prefrontal cortex(VLPFC),parietal lobe,supplementary motor area(SMA)and premotor cortex(PMA).Brain regions including VLPFC showed increased activation for high load level.Conclusion Functional difference but not anatomic difference between maintenance and manipulation in brain may be exist.
