OBJECTIVEDiscuss the surgical treatment of jugular foramen and hypoglossal canal tumor, and choice of the best surgical approach.

METHODS32 patients with jugular foramen and hypoglossal canal tumor were operated through the postauricular tran-supracondylar approach, 13 neurinoma, 7 glomus jugular tumors, 4 meningioma, 3 chordoma. 23 were total removed, with a subtotal of 9.

RESULTS21 patients were followed up, mean 2.5 years. 18 patients work normally, 7 of them were hoarseness, 2 of other 3 patients lived by themselves, 1 of existed obstruct of limbs.

CONCLUSIONSPostauricular tran-supracondylar approach exposes satisfactory for the dumbbell-shape tumors of intra-or extra cranial. It has high rate of total removal and low rate of complications. It is the best approach of treatment in jugular foramen and hypoglossal canal tumors. The outcome is good.

OBJECTIVETo study the diagnosis and microneurosurgical treatment of cavernous sinus neurinoma.

METHODSTwenty-two patients with cavernous sinus neurinoma which had been diagnosed by MRI were operated on by microsurgery. Fourteen patients received excision of tumor through frontotemporal approach with zygomatic osteotomy and, 8 patients via subtemporal and suboccipital transtentorial approaches.

RESULTSTotal resection was achieved in 21 patients (95.5%), and subtotal resection in 1. There was no operative death. The all operative samples were confirmed neurinoma pathologically. The symptoms postoperation such as headache and exophthalmos were reduced. Three months after operation, the function of the 6th nerve was improved in 12 of 19 patients with paresis of the 6th nerve. One patient with hemiplegia recovered well. The function of the 3th nerve recovered in 4 of 6 patients with recurrent paresis of the 3th nerve. Those patients with hydrocephalus were improved after operation. The patients were follow up 8 - 60 months (mean 20 months). No tumor recurrence was observed.

CONCLUSIONCavernous sinus neurinoma can be removed successfully via subtemporal and suboccipital transtentorial approaches.

Objective: To assess the autonomic nervous impairm ent in chronic renal failure and its related factors. Methods: F orty adults were randomly selected including in-patients in the nephrology ward and healthy subjects for routine medical examination. The subjects were classifi ed into 4 groups: normal subjects(NS)，normal renal function，nitremia， uremic patients. The time domain measurements of heart rate variability(HRV) and ambula tory blood pressure were analyzed simultaneously . Results: (1) There were significant differences as compared with normal subjects in the time domain measurements of HRV in uremic group. It decreased significantly when the patient was defined as end stage chronic renal failure. There were no significan t differences between NS，normal renal function group and nitremic group. (2) Ti me domain measurements of HRV was significantly lower(P<0.05) in uremia with renal hypertension than in uremia with normal blood pressure. Conclusio n: (1) Patients with chronic renal failure(HRV) have their cardiac auton omic nervous system impaired conspicuously in the course of uremia. (2) There is a positive correlation between cardiac autonomic nervous system impairment in p atients with CRF and renal function levels. Uremia itself is an independent fact or for the impairment of cardiac autonomic nervous system. (3) Renal hypertensio n with uremia may intensify the impairment of cardiac autonomic nervous system of the patients.

Objective　To study the effects of hypoxia and glutamic acid on the kinetic properties of NMDA receptor channel of the hypothalamic neurons in rats. Methods　Cell-attached mode patch clamp technique was employed to record the single channel current of the NMDA receptor. Results　The open probability of NMDA receptor channel was increased after acute hypoxia compared with that of normal state, the open time τ1,τ2 was changed from (0.33±0.10)ms，(4.36±0.26)ms to (0.93±0.22)ms，(7.64±0.72)ms, and the close time τ1,τ2 was from (18.03±3.50)ms，(171.50±19.10)ms to (3.42±1.02)ms，(19.39±3.07)ms. The mean open probability was changed from 0.12±0.05 in normal state to 0.66±0.36 in hypoxia state. Furthermore, glutamic acid can increase open time and open probability of NMDA receptor channel,decrease close time. Conclusion　The excitability and the open probability of NMDA receptor channel of hypothalamic neurons increased by hypoxia is related to glutamate.

OBJECTIVETo prepare andrographolide composite particles, and evaluate their particle structure and dissolution.

METHODThe mechanical crushing method was adopted to prepare andrographolide and polyethylene glycol (PEG) 6000 composite particles. The structures were characterized by the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The contact angles were determined by the contact angle analyzer. The in vitro dissolution curve was detected.

RESULTAndrographolide and PEG 6000 gave rise to coated composite particle structures, with the decrease in the crystallinity of andrographolide. The in vitro dissolution rate of composite particles was significantly obvious than that of its raw materials, ultrafine powder and their physical mixtures.

CONCLUSIONAndrographolide composite particles based on the mechanical crushing method could notably enhance the in vitro dissolution of andrographolide.

OBJECTIVEThis study aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics and correlated factors of daily hassles among thermal power plant workers.

METHODSA mass screening of daily hassles and correlated factors was conducted on 498 workers from a thermal power plant in Zhengzhou in July, 2008. The questionnaires included Daily Hassles Questionnaires, Work Roles Questionnaires, Job Content Questionnaires (Chinese version), Effort-Reward Imbalance (Chinese version), Work Locus of Control Scale and Type A Behavior Scale, with content covering demographic characters and occupational stress correlated factors among subjects. The daily hassles was divided into lower level and higher level according to scores, and the epidemiological characteristics and correlated factors of daily hassles were analyzed.

RESULTSA total of 446 qualified questionnaires were obtained, effective response rate was 89.6% (446/498). For respondents, the age was (36.96 ± 6.49) years old, working length of the current job was (12.05 ± 7.54) years, the daily hassles scores was (9.01 ± 2.50), and the prevalence rate of the higher level of daily hassles was 34.1% (152/446). The multiple non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed 5-14 years' working length of current job (OR = 0.451, 95%CI: 0.225 - 0.904), average income > 3000 yuan(OR = 0.372, 95%CI: 0.202 - 0.684), reward (OR = 0.557, 95%CI: 0.325 - 0.954) and coping strategy (OR = 0.552, 95%CI: 0.330 - 0.925) were negatively correlated with daily hassles, and shift-work (OR = 1.887, 95%CI: 1.108 - 3.215), effort (OR = 2.053, 95%CI: 1.198 - 3.519), psychological demand (OR = 1.797, 95%CI: 1.049 - 3.078), negative affectivity (OR = 3.421, 95%CI: 2.065 - 5.668) were positively correlated with daily hassles.

CONCLUSIONThe prevalence rate of the higher level of daily hassles was considerable high for thermal power plant workers. Its negative correlated factors included 5 - 14 years' working length of the current job, average income > 3000 yuan, reward and coping strategy and its positive corelated factors included shift-work, effort, psychological demand and negative affectivity.

Objective： To investigate the effect of oxLDL and VitE on the expression of CD40 and CD40 ligand(CD40L) in cultured human monoc ytes. Methods： The expression of CD40 and CD40L on monocytes su rface were measured by indirect immunorescence technique in combination with flo w cytometry. Results： Low concentration of oxLDL（≤200 μg/L） significantly increased the expression of CD40 and CD40L in a dose and time dep endent manner. High concentration (>200 μg/L）of oxLDL markedly reduced the exp ression of CD40 and CD40L. When VitE was added, it significantly reduced the ex pression of CD40 and CD40L on monocytes surface induced by oxLDL in a dose-depe ndent manner. Conclusion：It is an important mechanism that the high expression of CD40 and CD40L induced by oxLDL may be contributed to the for mation of atherosclerosis. Antioxidan VitE can partially inhibit the high expres sion of CD40 and CD40L on monocytes surface induced by oxLDL.

To explore the effects of psychological capital social support and their interaction on job satisfaction in Methods natural gas field workers. A total of 1 473 workers from a natural gas field were selected as the research subjects ， using convenient sampling method. Job Satisfaction Questionnaire Psychological Capital Questionnaire and Social Support ， Results Scale were used to investigate the scores of job satisfaction psychological capital and social support level. The ， ， detection rates of job satisfaction psychological capital and social support in the high level group were 55.9% 52.5% and ， 48.1% respectively. The detection rates of job satisfaction of workers in the high level psychological capital group and high level （ social support group were higher than those in the low level psychological capital group and low level social support group 67.4% vs ， vs ， P ） 43.3% 71.9% 41.2% all <0.01 . The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that psychological capital ［ （CI） （ - ） and social support had positive effects on job satisfaction odds ratio and 95% confidence interval were 1.58 1.17 2.41 （ - ）， ， P ］ ， and 2.53 1.82 3.52 respectively all <0.01 . Moreover the psychological capital and social support had additive effect on ［ CI （ - ）， CI job satisfaction relative excess risk of interaction and 95% was 3.07 1.02 5.12 attributable proportion and 95% was （ - ）， CI （ - ）］， 0.48 0.35 0.61 synergy index and 95% was 2.34 1.72 3.16 but there was no multiplication interaction between （P ）Conclusion psychological capital and social support >0.05 . Psychological capital and social support can positively affect job satisfaction of natural gas workers. There is an additive interaction between psychological capital and social support on job ， satisfaction but no multiplicative interaction is found. Objective By analyzing the status and characteristics of vaccinia virus laboratory-acquired infections in the bibliographical information,this paper provides relevant recommendations and measures for prevention and control of vaccinia virus laboratory-acquired infections in China.Methods Choosing PubMed,Embase,Biosis and SCIE,SSCI,CPCI-S as well as CPCI-SSH covered by Web of Science as the data source,indexing the bibliography of vaccinia virus laboratory-acquired infections,this paper analyzes the information on whether to vaccinate,the occurrence time of symptoms,diseasedparts,symptom characteristics and the disease-causing reasons.Results The outcome shows that 52.9％ of the cases never get vaccinated,82.4％ engaged in vaccinia virus related researches never get vaccinated in 10 years,52.9％ get infected by the accidental needlestick in hands during the process of handling animal experiments,70.6％ of infections occur in the hands and having symptoms after being exposed with an average of 5.1 days.Conclusion Although it is still controversial that whether or not to be vaccinated before carrying out vaccinia virus related works,it should be important aspects of prevention and control of vaccinia virus laboratory-acquired infections with the strict compliance with the operating requirements of the biosafety,by strengthening personal protection and timely taking emergency measures when unforeseen circumstances occur,as well as providing the research background information to doctors.

AIM: To study and compare the influence situation of corneal flap made by microkeratome and femtosecond laser for the vision and corneal flap thickness in patients. METHODS:Totally 120 patients(240 eyes) with myopic refractive surgery in our hospital from June 2014 to May 2015 were randomly divided into Group A (microkeratome group) with 60 cases (120 eyes) and Group B (femtosecond laser group) with 60 cases (120 eyes). Then the vision situation and corneal flap thickness indexes of two groups at different time after the treatment were compared. RESULTS:The vision situation between the two groups at different time after the treatment all had no significant differences (all P>0.05),while the corneal flap thickness related indexes of Group B at different time after the treatment were all better than those of Group A (all P<0 05). The evaluation indexes of two groups after the treatment all had significant differences (all P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The indexes of corneal flap made by femtosecond laser are better than those of microkeratome,and the influence of two methods for the vision is no obvious.
