The systemic anaphylaxis murine model was induced by the injection of oval albumin (OVA)in aluminum hydroxide gel adjuvant. The death rate varied with the mouse species: 40-90% in Swiss and 69% in average,no death in C57BL/6 and 615 but some symptoms. developed. Swiss mice was adopted in this experiment.90% of mice pretreated with Lx remained living after allergen challenge, but only 20% in normal control. For elucidation the possible mechanism of Lx action, the study was carried out on detection of anti-OVA IgE specific antibody and histamin concentration in lung tissues. Passive cutaneous anaphylaxis(PCA)titers for anti-OVA IgE antibody in serum ranged from undilution to 160 in control group and not detectable in group pretreated with Lx. In addition, after absorption of PCA positive sera with anti-IgG antibody.the PCA activity was not affected. Histamin content was 1.54?0.24?g/ml in Lx treated mice caopared to 2.69?0.67?g/ml in control group(p

The main difficulties and disputable problems on develping the national standard Standardized Manipulation of Acupuncture and Moribustion, Part 3: Auricular Acupuncture are debated in this paper from the three aspects of its meaning, scientific basis and key point. The difficult points mainly include manipulation standandization of auricular acupuncture, basis and science of the standards stipulated, selection of technical terms and definition, and why only the four kinds of manipulations are used for auricular acupuncture. Finally, the authors suggest that the Standardized Manipulation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Part 3: Auricular Acupuncture needs further to be studied and improved.

Objective To explore the application of B-mode intra- and post-operative ultrasound in patients with traumatic brain injuries. Methods B-mode intra- and post-operative ultrasound were performed 35 times in 24 patients, including 7 times of intra-operation in 7 patients and 28 times of post-operation in 17 patients. Results During operation epidural hematomas in 3 cases as well as intracranial hematomas in 2 cases, subdural hematomas in 1 case, diffused brain swelling in 1 case were found. After operation epidural hematomas were examined in 4 cases as well as subdural hematomas in 1 case, delayed intracranial hematomas in 6 cases, scattered contusion and laceration of the brain in 12 cases, acute obstructive hydrocephalus in 1 case, and subdural hydroma in 4 cases. Six cases underwent operations again because of delayed hematomas, contusion and laceration of the brain. B-mode ultrasound was compared with CT scan and the total coincidence rate was 85.4%.Conclusions B-mode ultrasound is helpful to examine delayed hematomas and other emergent complications. It may save time and may improve rescue rate and has a good coincidence with CT scan. B-mode ultrasound may be widely used as a routine way in neurotrauma ICU.
