To prepare monoclonal antibodies for blocking acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis (AHC)viruses,BALB/C mice were immunized with Hela cells.The spleen of immunemouse was re-moved,and spleen cells were fused with SP2/0 cells.The antibodies against cell receptors wereselected by cell protection assay.Four cell strains secreted McAbs designated R7.R8.R16 andR24 were screened to be able to block cellular receptors and inhibit the infection of Ev70 as wellas CA24v on Hela cell.These results demonstrate that the receptors for Ev70 and CA24v are si-miliar.Indirect immunofluorescence test with the four McAbs showed definite fluorescence onliving Hela cells,which the intensity was concordance with the mean intensity resulted fromflowcytometer.Positive reaction on fixed Hela cells were only observed with R7 and R8.

Objective To study the impact of sodium arsenite(NaAsO2) exposure on melanoma cells A375 (hereinafter referred to as the A375) and G361 (hereinafter referred to as the G361) pigment production and tyrosinase (TYR) activity and the differences of pigment metabolism capacity between the cell lines.Methods A375 and G361 cells were exposed to sodium arsenite at concentrations of 0.0(control),0.1 and 1.0 μmol/L for 72hours.Cell viability was measured by Alamar Blue assay.Melanin levels and TYR activity were measured at the same time.Results After exposure for 72 hours,the cells of 0.1 μmol/L dose groups of both of the two cell lines [A375:(103.32 + 1.26)％; G361:(104.10 + 1.76)％] showed a slightincrease of proliferation without significant differences compared with those of the control[A375:(100.00 ± 1.08)％; G361:(100.00 + 1.79)％,all P ＜ 0.05] ;while cell viability of the 1.0 μmol/L dose group of both of the two cell lines[A375:(75.32 ± 1.59)％; G361:(78.26 ± 2.10)％] were significantly lower than those of the control (all P ＜ 0.05).Melanin levels of G361 cell line [(7.19 ± 0.35),(7.34 ± 0.83),(8.19 ± 0.86)pg/cell] were significantly higher than that of A375[(4.35 ± 0.72),(4.54 ± 0.01),(4.60 + 0.59)pg/cell,all P ＜ 0.05] in all the three groups.TYR activity of G361 cell line [(54.13 ± 1.21),(54.56 ± 0.21),(56.25 ± 0.85)Bq] were also markedly higher than that of A375 cell[(42.00 ±0.21),(42.90 ± 0.54),(42.91 ± 0.01)Bq,all P ＜ 0.05] in all the three groups.The melanin levels and TYR activities of both of the two cells lines showed an increase tendency along with increased doses of arsenic exposure,but without significant differences when compared with those of the three groups (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Arsenic related pigment disorder may be associated with increased melanin levels and TYR activities induced by arsenic exposure; individual difference of pigment metabolism may be associated with different basal melanin levels and TYR activity between different individuals.

Objective To observe the ultrastructural changes of the infarcted region after transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into the infarcted rats. Methods Model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAo) in Wistar rats was established. The isolated and cultured MSCs in vitro were injected into the infarcted region. The ultrastructural changes of the infracted region were observed at 4 w after transplantation by electron microscopy. Results Some immature cells surrounding the neurons were found to survive in the infracted region. Massive free ribosomes were observed in the neural cytoplasm in the infarcted region in the rats receiving MSCs transplantation, but neurons with nuclear pyknosis and neurophagia were observed in the infarcted region of rats in the control group. Conclusion MSCs transplantation might improve neuron repair in cerebral ischemic injury in rats.

Objective To evaluate the clinical application of sweep pattern visual evoked potential in assessing visual acuity (SPVEP-A)of amblyopic children.Design Prospective clinical study.Participants 80 patients(148 case)of amblyopic children and 26 children(52 case)with normal vision.Methods The correlation were analysed of SPVEP-A and E acuity in 80 amblyopic children and of SPVEP-A and PVEP-A in 26 children of normal visual.SPVEP-A was recorded with UTAS-E 3000(LKC)using gratings of 25 differ- ent spatial frequency from 0.2 to 18.8cpd as stimulus.The response were averaged and DFT on the monitor display.SPVEP-A was de- termined by extrapolate to 0 response amplitude.Both transient PVEP-A and SPVEP-A were examined in 26 normal children.The ob- jective visual acuity in PVEP were determined with the highest spatial frequency which evoked a recognizable response.Main Out- come Measures SPVEP-A,PVEP-A and E acuity.Results SPVEP-A were from 0.35 to 0.9 among 80 patients with corrected E acu- ity from 0.1 to 0.8.The correlation coefficient of SVEP-A-I with E acuity was 0.602 .The correlation coefficient of SPVEP-A.between reproducibility detection was 0.448.The correlation between SPVEP-A and E acuity in amblyopic slightly was higher than middle and severe amblyopia(r=0.773 vs r=0.590).In 26 normal children a correlation coefficient of 0.679 was obtained between E acuity anti PVEP-A but 0.424 between E acuity and SPVEP-A.Higher evaluation or lower evaluation of E acuity was found in SPVEP-A in this study.Acuity was upostimated in lower scope of E acuity and underestimated in higher scope of E acuity.The reproducibility and vari- ation were not satisified.Conclusion The sweep VEP is a objective method of amblyopic screening.There is significant positive corre- lation between SPVEP-A and E,but its variability is more great,so we should improve its stability and positive rate uheriorly.

Objective:To investigate the alteration of delayed memory and its relationship with neurogenesis and angiogenesis in vascular dementia (VD) rats after moxibustion therapy. Methods: Two hundred adult male SPF Wistar rats were chosen for the experiment. Thirty-six rats were randomly selected as the sham operation group. Except for rats in the sham operation group (n=36), the others were made into VD models by bilateral common carotid arteries occlusion (BCCAo). After modeling, the 108 survived rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: a model group, a neural stem cells (NSCs) plus endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) moxibustion group and a NSCs moxibustion group. Co-transplanted implant was transplanted into the rats in the NSCs plus EPCs moxibustion group, and the rats in the NSCs moxibustion group were transplanted by NSCs only. The NSCs plus EPCs moxibustion group and the NSCs moxibustion group received suspended moxibustion therapy at Baihui (GV 20), Dazhui (GV 14) and Shenting (GV 24), (each group was divided into 3 subgroups by the treatment course as 1, 2 and 3 courses). Every group was measured by Morris water maze to evaluate its delayed memory after 3 treatment courses and the rat’s brain was taken out after perfusion of 4% paraformaldehyde one day after 1, 2 and 3 treatment courses, respectively. Marker protein expression was detected by laser confocal microscope to analyze the effect on neurogenesis and angiogenesis. Results: VD rats showed delayed memory in Morris water maze test 3 d after ischemic injury. After 3 courses of moxibustion therapy, VD-induced delayed memory deficits were improved in the NSCs plus EPCs moxibustion group and the NSCs moxibustion group. The expressions of nestin, doublecortin (DCX) and CD34 increased significantly in the two moxibusiton groups after every treatment course (all P＜0.05), which might contribute to the neurogenesis and angiogenesis in hippocampus. In addition, compared with the rats in the NSCs moxibustion group, the expressions of nestin, DCX and CD34 increased significantly in the NSCs plus EPCs moxibustion group (P＜0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion can reverse VD-induced delayed memory deficits, which may be related to the promotion of neurogenesis and angiogenesis.

AIM: To observe the efficacy of surgical excision combined with autologous limbus conjunctival flap transplantation in the treatment of pterygium accompanied with conjunctival cyst.METHODS: Totally 126 patients 188 eyes with pterygium were hospitalized in Department of Ophthalmology of Tongji Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology during August 2013 and August 2015.The patients were divided into two groups: observation group (11 eyes of 11 patients) with pterygium accompanied with conjunctival cyst and control group (177 eyes of 115 patients) with primary pterygium.All patients underwent slit lamp microscope examination, anterior segment photography, and anterior segment optical coherence tomography(OCT).The size of pterygium was calculated by multiplying neck width and length of the covered corneal.All patients underwent excision combined with autologous conjunctival flap transplantation, and the resections were performed pathological section with hematoxylin and eosin staining.All patients were followed up postoperatively for 4-28mo.RESULTS: All cases in the observation group were confirmed by postoperative pathological examination.All cyst walls were complete, and containing single layer of epithelial cells.The mean size of pterygium of the observation group was 6.9±1.7mm2, and 6.3±1.8mm2 for the control group.There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).The mean postoperative healing time of observation group was 2.1±0.9d, and 1.9±0.8d for the control group.There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Recurrence was seen in two eyes within the follow-up period in the control group, and no recurrence in the observation group.CONCLUSION: Surgical excision combined with autologous limbus conjunctival flap transplantation is a safe and effective treatment for pterygium accompanied with conjunctival cyst.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the effect of nutrition package on the nutritional status and prevalence of children in rural areas of Hainan Province, and provide scientific basis and suggestions for further improving the nutritional and health status of children in this region. Methods　Four cities and counties were randomly selected as the intervention group, and four cities and counties matched with the intervention group in terms of population, economy, social culture, maternal and child health work foundation of township health centers, physical nutrition and health status were selected as the control group.With the combination of monitoring and prospective cohort study, infants in the intervention group and the control group were studied from June 1, 2020, and they were intervened for 12 months with supplementary food nutrition package. Before and after intervention, the nutrition and health status of infants aged 6-24 months in the intervention group and the control group were investigated to evaluate the nutritional and health effects of supplementary food nutrition package for infants aged 6-24 months in rural Hainan Province. Results　A total of 999 infants were investigated, including 427 in the intervention group and 572 in the control group. After 12 months of nutritional intervention, there was no significant difference in weight-for-age Z-score (WAZ) and height-for-age Z-score (HAZ) and weight-for-height Z-score (WHZ) between the intervention group and the control group (P>0.05). The rate of emaciation of the intervention group was 1.64%, which was significantly lower than 3.67% of the control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the rate of growth retardation (2.81% and 3.32%, respectively) and underweight (0.47% and 1.92%, respectively) between the intervention group and the control group (P>0.05). The rate of respiratory infection and diarrhea in the intervention group were 9.13% and 1.17%, which were significantly lower than corresponding 23.25% and 3.15% in the control group (P<0.05). The hemoglobin of the intervention group and the control group were 117.24 g/L and 114.51 g/L respectively, and the rates of anemia were 11.11% and 22.84% respectively, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions　The intervention of nutrition package in rural areas of Hainan Province has achieved the expected results, and supplementary food nutrition package has reduced the incidence of malnutrition and respiratory infection and diarrhea in recent two weeks in infants and anemia to a certain extent. We should attach great importance to the supplementary nutrition package for right-age children and promote the growth and health of children in rural areas through supplementary nutrition package, and continuously improve the nutrition and health level of children in Hainan Province.

Objective: To establish an ion chromatography (IC) method to determine the content of chloride ion and sulfate ion in ethylparaben, and evaluate the quality status of chloride ion and sulfate ion in ethylparaben at different levels.Methods: Ion chromatograph was used.The column was Dionex IonPac AS 18 (250 mm ×4 mm,5 μm) using potassium hydroxide as the mobile phase with gradient elution, the flow rate was 1.0 ml·min-1 , the injection volume was 25 μl, and the quantitative method was standard curve.Results: The method showed good linear relationship within the range of 0.02-4.00 μg·ml-1 for chloride ion (r=0.999 9) and 0.10-10.00μg·ml-1 for sulfate ion (r=0.999 5).The average recovery was 90.12% (RSD=3.4%) and 85.54% (RSD=6.2%) for chloride ion and sulfate ion, respectively (n =9).The content range of chloride ion and sulfate ion was 0.000 3%-0.015 7% and 0.000 9%-0.024 4% in 63 batches of samples, respectively.Conclusion: The established method is simple, fast and accurate, which can be used to determine the contents of chloride ion and sulfate ion in ethylparaben and is helpful to its quality control.

Objective To explore the survival mechanism of hippocampal ne urons after damage of hypoxia-ischemia and reperfusion of brain.Methods Seven days old SD rats(n=56) were randomly divided into hypoxia-ischemia br a in iniury(HIBD) group and sham group.The HIBD and reperfusion model was establis hed.The flowing of blood was de tected by multicolor Doppler.The p-CREB(phosphorylated c-AMP response element bi nding protein)and c-Jun were immunohistochemically evaluated in hippocampus.Thi onin staining was used to observe the apoptosis.Results The expression of p-CREB reache d the peak at 3,24 h postreperfusion in the right hippocampus of HIBD group,and then decreased to the normal level on the 7th day.In contral group the same reg ions showed basic immn-noreactivity.While c-Jun reached the peak at 6 h postreperfusion,then with a slightly decrease at 24 h;and at 48 h the other peak appeared,then with a gradual decline .On the 7th day the mumber of positive cells were still significanthy more than control group(P0.05).The sham animal showed very few apoptosis cells in the regio ns of hippocampus.Conclusions The persistent activation of CREB in the hippocampus regulates,the expression of c-Jun through the signal transductions and is involved in the course of neuron s′ survival and repair during the period of post hypoxia-ischemia reperfusion.I t is very important for the protection of the pyramidal hippocampal neurons on t he damaged side,especially for the sensitive region CA1. Objective To explore the influencing factors of deliberated acute pesticide poisoning (APP), so as to provide prevention and health promotion for the disease. Methods The deliberated APP patients related factors questionnaire was used to investigate deliberated APP and non-deliberated APP patients. The data was analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling. Results APP was directly affected by cognitive factors, psychological factors and social environment factors. Their standardized regression coefficients were -0.831, -0.752 and -0.469 respectively. Cognitive factors had a direct effect on psychological factors and social environment factors. APP was affected indirectly by cognitive deviation, absolutization, copying manner, social support, pesticide management and negative life events. Their standardized regression coefficients were 0.757, 0.541, 0.773, 0.576, 0.824 and 0.782, respectively. Conclusions Paying attention to the influencing factors for deliberated APP patients, improving sociological influencing factors, improving coping style and provide social support and strengthen pesticide management is benefided to reduce the incidence of APP.
