Objective To investigate the serum level of C reactive protein(CRP) in the hypertension patients with heart function impairment. Methods 68 hypertension patients who had no,mild or severe heart function impairment were se- lected and accordingly divided into 3 groups, while 30 healthy subjects served as normal controls. The levels of HS-CRP and LVEF was measured. Results All the hypertension patients had a high CRP level than normal controls(P

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1996;0(07):-
Objective Low-dose naloxone has been shown to reduce side-effects of morphine while morphine analgesia is not antagonized and may even be enhanced. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of low-dose naloxone infusion (50 ng? kg-1? h-1 ) on morphine analgesia and plasma levels of opioid peptides in patients after abdominal hysterectomy. Methods Forty-two ASA Ⅰ- Ⅱ patients aged 36-50 yrs, weighing 55-67 kg undergoing abdominal hysterectomy under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia were enrolled in this study. Spinal puncture was performed at L2-3 interspace. The patients received intrathecal 0.75% ropivacaine 2.0-2.6 ml. 2% lidocaine was used for epidural injection. The block height was maintained at T8-6 . For postoperative analgesia the patients were randomized to receive either intravenous morphine infusion at 10 ?g?kg-1 ?h-1 (group M, n = 21) or IV morphine infusion (10 ?g?kg-1?h-1)+ naloxone infusion at 50 ng?kg-1?h-1 (group MN, n = 21). Pain was assessed using VAS (0-10) with 0 representing no pain and 10 representing the worst possible pain. Blood samples were taken from peripheral vein before anesthesia (T0), at the end of surgery (T1) and at 6, 24, 48 h (T2,3,4) after operation for determination of plasma levels of ?-endorphin (?-EP), dynorphin A1-13 (Dyn) and leu-enkepholin (L-EK) .Results The patients were comparable with respect to, age, weight, occupation and duration of operation between the two groups. Two patients (1 patient in each group) were excluded from the study because of their refusal to have repeated blood samples taken. The analgesia was significantly better in group MN than that in group M in terms of VAS scores. Plasma level of ?-EP was significantly lower at 6 h after operation (T2 ) but significantly higher at 24 h postop. (T3 ) in group MN compared with that in group M ( P

Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(07):-
Objective To study and develop the whole blood red cell lysing reagents in order to replace the commercial kit and reduce the cost. Methods Flow cytometry was used to compare the home-made red cell lysing reagents with the commercial kit on the separation of white cells into three groups,on the ratio of lymphocyte subsets and on the mean fluorescence intensity(MFI)of lymphocyte subsets. Results Compared with the commercial kit,the home-made lysing reagents had no significant difference on the separation of white cells into three groups,on the ratio of lymphocyte subsets and on the MFI of T lymphocytes,B lymphocytes,Helper-Inducer T-lymphocytes and Suppressor-Cytotoxic T-lymphocytes.Conclusions The home-made lysing reagents had similar effects as the commercial kit on the separation of white cells,on the ratio of lymphocyte subsets and on the MFI of T lymphocytes,B lymphocytes,Helper-Inducer T-Lymphocytes and Suppressor-Cytotoxic T-lymphocytes,but the cost is much lower.

Bepridil (10mg ? kg-1) iv elevated the threshold dose of ouabain (15ug ? min-1 iv) in guinea-pig and aconitine (10?g ? kg-1 ? min-1 iv) in rat induced ventricular extrasystole, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation and cardiac arrest. It shortened the duration of arrhythmia elicitde by Adr (50ug ? Kg-1 iv) in conscious rabbits and by BaCl2 (3mg ? kg-1 iv) in rats. It is also effective in preventing reperfusion-induced arrhythmias in aneasthetized rats.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2000;0(07):-
AIM:To study the effects of astragali radix extract(ARE)on renal resistance to atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP)in rats with experimental nephrotic syndrome.METHODS:Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal control, adriamycin nephropathy(ADR),ADR treated with ARE(2.5 g? kg-1? d-1)and ADR treated with benazepril(10 mg? kg-1? d-1).After 6 weeks, rats received intravenous infusion of 2% body weight isotonic saline.Urinary cGMP excretion(UcGMPV),plasma ANP level, renal PDE5 activity and protein expression were also detected.RESULTS:ARE increased UNaV while ACEI was not natriuretic.Nephrotic rats had a blunted natriuretic response and reduced rate of UcGMPV after volume expansion despite higher plasma ANP concentration.ARE increased UcGMPV and restored partly natriuretic response to volume expansion. The activity and protein abundance of renal PDE5 were high in nephrotic rats.ARE significantly reduced the PDE5 activity and protein expression.CONCLUSION:ARE may ameliorate the renal resistance to ANP in rats with adriamycin nephropathy by inhibiting the PDE5.
