AIM:To investigate the effects of a novel thiazolidinedione ANY2 on glycometabolism in HepG2 cells.METHODS:HepG2 cells are exposed to high concentrations of insulin for 24 h to build the model of insulin-resistance(IR-HepG2).The effects of ANY2,including glucose consumption(GC),gluconeogenesis and glucolysis were tested in this model.RESULTS:ANY2 could dose-dependently enhance GC in IR-HepG2 cells at high, medium and low levels of glucose.Compared with Modle Group,ANY2 increased IR-HepG2 cells glycogen synthesis significantly only in high dose group. It inhibited gluconeogenesis from lactic acid, but increased the production of lactic acid and the activity of pyruvate kinase(PK)in glucolysis.CONCLUSION:Compound ANY2 has remarkable effects on improving glycometabolism in IR-HepG2 cells.

In tumor immunotherapy, the study of programmed death 1 (PD-1) and programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) provides a new approach for the comprehensive treatment of advanced lung cancer. About 20% of patients with non-small cell lung cancer could benefit from lung cancer immunotherapy, while those with high PD-L1 expression will benefit more. At present, there are few related studies on PD-1 expression at home and abroad, and the detection of PD-1/PD-L1 expressions is mostly concentrated in tumor tissues. With the research progress of liquid biopsy technology, the convenience and accuracy of peripheral blood testing are also receiving more and more attention. However, there are still few biological indicators for predicting the efficacy of tumor immunotherapy, and the uniform standard and accuracy of testing still need more clinical practice and exploration. This article reviews the research on the expressions of PD-1 and PD-L1 in tissues and peripheral blood of patients with lung cancer, aiming to provide reference for the treatment of lung cancer with immune checkpoint blockers.

Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the common malignant tumors, and most patients with hepatocellular carcinoma are already in the middle stage at the time of clinical detection, transarterial chemoembolization is the treatment of choice for mid-stage hepatocellular carcinoma.Due to the high degree of tumor heterogeneity, accurately predicting the outcome of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma after transarterial chemoembolization remains one of the difficulties in clinical practice. As an emerging technology, radiomics can not only reflect tumor heterogeneity non-invasively, but also monitor, evaluate and predict tumor progression by analyzing changes in the tumor microenvironment to guide patients′ personalized treatment and prolong their survival time. This article reviews the progress of the application of radiomics in predicting the efficacy of transarterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma.

Small renal cell carcinoma refers to a renal malignant tumor with a maximum diameter of 4 cm.Due to the small size, its diagnosis and differential diagnosis have been difficult points in clinical work. CT texture analysis is an emerging technique, it determines the tumor heterogeneity by analyzing the distribution and relationship of pixel or voxel gray-scale levels in the CT images, it acts to more accurately predict the benign and malignant tumors and the classification of tumors. This paper reviews CT texture analysis on the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of small renal cell carcinoma, in order to guide the correct diagnosis of doctors and effectively clinical treatment.
