Objective To analyze whether routine prophyrlactic antibiotic administration is necessary for the patients undergoing coronary stent implantation. Methods The clinical data of 156 patients from January 2010 to December 2010 (prophylactic antibiotic therapy),and 466 patients from January 2014 to December 2014(no-prophylactic antibiotic therapy), who underwent coronary stent implantation, were retrospectively analyzed. The prophylactic antibiotics and the infection rates in two groups were compared. Results The rate of infections related to coronary stent implantation in no-prophylactic antibiotic therapy group and prophylactic antibiotic therapy group, such as surgical site infection (0.2% vs 1.3%,P>0.05) and catheter-related infection(0.6% vs 1.9%,P>0.05), was not significant different(P>0.05). Similarly, the unrelated to coronary stent implantation was not significant different, too ( P > 0. 05). Conclusion Routine prophylactic antibiotic administration is unnecessary for the patients undergoing coronary stent implantation.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2006;23(3):496-498
The signal analysis technology based on wavelet was used to detect the chromatic visual evoked potential (VEP). The method was based on wavelet transform modulus maxima reconstruction. The test signal was decomposed using the dyadic discrete time wavelet transform "Mallat" algorithm, and the modulus maxima distribution of each scale was obtained. Signal was de-noised as the Lipschitz coefficient. The POCS method was used to reconstruction the original signal. The news method proved not only good for de-noising but also for decreasing the times of test by the simulation result.

Objective:To explore the establishment of a surgical complication monitoring mode based on data on the medical record homepage, and analyze its impact on the trend of changes in surgical complication incidence. Methods:A monitoring mode of surgical complication was developed based on the " structure-process-results" framework by using surgical complication rates derived from performance appraisal for a tertiary general hospital in Guangzhou. The number of surgical complications and the number of discharged surgical patients was collected from the hospital from January 2019 to June 2022 through the home page collection system for performance appraisal of national tertiary public hospitals. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the incidence of surgical complications, and Joinpoint regression was used to analyze the trend of changes in the incidence of surgical complications. Monthly percentage change ( MPC) and average monthly percentage change ( AMPC) were calculated. Results:Since the hospital began implementing the surgical complication monitoring mode in May 2021, the incidence of surgical complications had decreased from 2.55% in June 2021 to 0.82% in June 2022, with an MPC of -5.58% ( P=0.024), which was better than the changes from January 2019 to May 2021 ( MPC=0.18%, P=0.755). Conclusions:The surgical complication monitoring mode constructed by the hospital can effectively reduce the incidence of surgical complications, providing reference for optimizing hospital′s medical quality management process and decision-making mode.
