Objective: To study the anticaries effects of salivary gland extract (SGE). Methods: Dental caries model was established in 80 SD rats by feeding with cariogenic diet 2000 and by infecting with cariogenic bacteria. 20 model rats in each of the 4 experimental group were fed with SGE at 400 mg/kg, 1 500 mg/kg or 5 mg/L of NaF or deionic water respectively,another 20 were fed with ordinary diet as blank control. The anticaries effects were evaluated by Keyes caries scores, SOD activity in blood cells was determined by NBT test. The effect of SGE on dissoluble Ca 2+ from teeth was determined in electrochemical artificial caries model in vitro. Results: caries was not observed in the blank control. [Objective]To investigate the effect of three-dimensional computered tomographic(3DCT)reconstruction on the classification of operation for congenital elevation of the scapula and choice of congenital elevation of the scapula.[Method]Twenty-two patients with congenital elevation of the scapula were scanned with serial spiral CT and the images were three-dimensionally reconstraucted before operation.The scapular altitude difference of both sides were measured with the reference of scapular spine.Different appropriate operations which based on these results and Cavendish's classification were chosen for different patients.[Result]Twenty-two patients were followed-up for 2 years to 4 years,the appearance and the range of motion were improved without injuries of nerve,vessel and spine.[Conclusion]The pathological changes of congenital elevation of the scapula could be displayed clearly by 3DCT,so it is beneficial to choose the methods of operation and avoiding complications.

Objective To study the technique of lumbar cathetering in lumbosacral vertebral canal operation and its effect on prevention of postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leakage.Methods Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients who underwent lumbosacral ver-tebral canal surgery and suffered from difficult dural repair during the operation in Department of Neurosurgery from August 2015 to October 2015.These patients were divided into the observation group (11 cases)and the control group (12 cases)according to whether lumbar cathe-ter were placed during the operation or not.Volume of drainage was strictly controlled after surgery.Remove the epidural drainage after primi-tive healing of the dura mater.The lumbar catheter was removed after 7 to 10 days.The indwelling time of each patient was collected and sta-tistical analyzed.Results The observation group got obvious shorter epidural drainage indwelling time than the control group(P <0.05). Short-term postoperative complications did occur in some cases in observation group,however,there was no obvious increase of infection rate in patients with lumbar continuous drainage indwelling.Conclusion Lumbar cathetering during the operation could be an effective method to solve difficult problem of placeing a lumbar drainage after lumbar puncture and to prevent cerebrospinal fluid leakage after operations of lum-bosacral vertebral canal.But it can not replace the delicate operation and tight dural suture.Drainage should be used only as a remedial measure of dural repair failure.

Objective To explore the significance and important measure of integrative treatment of multiple trauma patients with severe craniocerebral injury in emergency center. Methods One hundred and forty-eight multiple trauma patients with severe craniocerebral injury in emergency center from November 2002 to February 2006 were analysed retrospectively. Result In total 148 cases, 72 were cured and 26 dead, 7 were in status of plant man, 17 experienced severe deformity, and 26 did mild deformity. Conclusion Multiple trauma patients with severe craniocerebral injury usually experience a serious situation and rapid development. Therefore emergency doctors are required for organizing salvage of such patients, at the same time treatment and diagnosis are implemented. Firstly the most important key to successful salvage is appropriate disposal of fatal injury and early elimination of shock. Proper surgical choice, especially at the first time, inspection and protection of visceral functions, and attention to nutritional support are other vital methods to gain more successful salvage. ICU is also emphasized for its essentiality.

A sandwich format immunochromatographic assay for detecting foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) serotypes was developed. In this rapid test, affinity purified polyclonal antibodies from Guinea pigs which were immunized with sucking-mouse adapted FMD virus (A/AV88(L) strain) were conjugated to colloidal gold beads and used as the capture antibody, and affinity purified polyclonal antibodies from rabbits which were immunized with cell-culture adapted FMD virus (A/CHA/09 strain) were used as detector antibody. On the nitrocellulose membrane of the immunochromatographic strip, the capture antibody was laid on a sample pad, the detector antibody was printed at the test line(T) and goat anti-guinea pigs IgG antibodies were immobilized to the control line(C). The lower detection limit of the test for a FMDV 146S antigen is 11.7ng/ml as determined in serial tests after the strip device was assembled and the assay condition optimization. No cross reactions were found with FMDV serotype C, Swine vesicular disease (SVD), Vesicular stomatiti svirus (VSV) and vesicular exanthema of swine virus (VES) viral antigens with this rapid test. Clinically, the diagnostic sensitivity of this test for FMDV serotypes A was 88.7% which is as same as an indirect-sandwich ELISA. The specificity of this strip test was 98.2% and is comparable to the 98.7% obtained with indirect-sandwich ELISA. This rapid strip test is simple, easy and fast for clinical testing on field sites;no special instruments and skills are required, and the result can be obtained within 15 min. To our knowledge, this is the first rapid immunochromatogarpic assay for serotype A of FMDV.

Objective To study the relationships between tissue damage and the ability of the pancreatic cells to regenerate ,and analyze the alteration of the pancreatic cells regeneration .Methods Sixty rats were divided into two groups :impact group(the pan‐creas was injured by a BIM‐Ⅲ biotical impact machine ,40 rats) and control group(sham operated ,20 rats) .All rats were sacrificed at 6 h ,24 h ,72 h ,7 d after operation .The level of AMS ,LPS in the serum were detected by spectrophotometry ,pancreatic cells re‐generation were examined and analyzed by TUNEL staining and flow cytomertry ,and the Bcl‐2 and Bax expression were measured by Western blot .Results In the impact groups ,LPS was activated later than AMS ,and lasted persistently .The results from TUNEL stain ,flow cytometry and Western blot indicated that pancreatic trauma induces cell death and the compensatory prolifera‐tion of pancreatic cells .The characteristics of pancreatic cells regeneration in the animal model of isolated pancreatic trauma indicate that the proper remedial time is in the first 24h after the pancreatic trauma .Conclusion Detecting AMS and LPS at the same time can help us to determine the exocrine function of pancrease .

Objectives To investigate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and its tissue inhibitor (TIMP-1) in cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) and the relationship between the expression and invasive growth and metastasis of SCC. Methods Immunohistochemical method of streptavidin-peroxidase (SP) was used to detect the expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 proteins on the paraffin embedded sections of 65 patients with cutaneous SCC and 5 cases of normal epidermis. The immunohistochemical results were analyzed quantitatively using an image analysis system. Results MMP-9 and TIMP-1 proteins were diffusely expressed on the tumor nests and the mesenchymal cells around the nests, while in normal epidermis MMP-9 and TIMP-1 were weakly positive. Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of neurenteric cyst. Methods The clinical manifestations, MRI characteristics and surgical results of 11 cases of intraspinal neurenteric cysts were analyzed. Results Positive pathological signs and paresis appeared in all cases, and radicular pain in 9 cases. The symptoms were episodic in 2 cases whose courses were more than 3 years. MRI could clearly demonstrate the exact extension of the cyst and the surrounding structures. These cysts showed as slightly long T 1, long T 2 homogeneous signal on MRI. Their neurological functions improved steadily after complete resection in 8 cases, subtotal resection in 3 cases. Conclusion Neurenteric cysts are rare congenital lesions, often associated with vertebral anomalies and occurred at subdural cervical location, anterior to the cord. MRI is a more effective and convenient method for neurenteric cyst image investigation. Total or subtotal resection of neurenteric cysts with subsequent recovery in neurological function is usually possible.

Purpose: Our study aimed to make a propensity score matching (PSM) analysis on the clinical application of gastricjejunum pouch anastomosis (GJPA) and Billroth-II anastomosis after distal gastrectomy. Methods: We collected clinical data from 249 patients who received distal gastrectomy from January 2016 to July 2020. According to the reconstruction method used, all patients were divided into the Billroth-II group and the GJPA group. Clinical data and operation complications were analyzed. Results: The clinical characteristics of the 2 groups were comparable after PSM. In the Billroth-II group, the incidence rate of delayed gastric emptying was higher than that in the GJPA group. Fewer patients suffered reflux gastritis in the GJPA group. The RGB (residue, gastritis, and bile) scores related to the severity of bile reflux into the remnant stomach, gastritis, and residue were higher in the Billroth-II group. Postoperative nutritional status and Visick classification demonstrated that postoperative subjective feelings in the GJPA group were improved significantly. Conclusion The application of GJPA in reconstruction after distal gastrectomy is safe, economical, and reliable. This reconstruction improved the quality of life of patients. It is worth popularizing widely in clinical settings.

Objective To study the effect of fufangxuanju capsule combined with tamoxifen citrate tablet on seminal plasma biochemistry in patients with asthenospermia.Methods One hundred and fifty patients with asthenospermia were divided into group A(treated with tamoxifen citrate tablet,45 cases),group B(treated with fufangxuanju capsule,45 cases)and group C(treated with tamoxifen citrate tablet and fufangxuanju capsule, 60 cases) according to random digits table method.All patients were treated for 2 months.The semen parameters and semen biochemical parameters were detected, and the pregnancy rate was followed up for 6 months.Results The semen volume,sperm density,sperm survival rate, grade a sperm percentage and grade a+b sperm percentage after treatment in group C were significantly higher than those in group A and group B: (4.41 ± 1.21) ml vs.(4.01 ± 0.87) and(3.97 ± 1.10)ml,(24.63 ± 4.44)×109/L vs.(20.45 ± 4.69)and(18.04 ± 3.05)×109/L,(64.05 ± 7.98)% vs.(45.15 ± 8.87)% and(51.47 ± 10.01)%,(26.05 ± 5.62)% vs.(15.01 ± 3.67)% and(18.31 ± 2.21)%, (55.30 ± 9.65)% vs.(38.07 ± 8.26)% and (44.35 ± 9.03)%, and there were statistical differences (P<0.05).There were no statistical differences between group A and group B (P>0.05).The fructose, a-glucosidase and acid phosphatase levels after treatment in group C were significantly higher than those in group A and group B:(30.36 ± 5.30)mmol/L vs.(24.01 ± 6.32)and(26.03 ± 5.53)mmol/L,(60.61 ± 8.86) U/L vs.(45.46 ± 8.87)and(50.56 ± 5.56)U/L,(140.12 ± 10.25)U/L vs.(98.36 ± 8.36)and(100.36 ± 8.36) U/L,and there were statistical differences(P<0.05);there were no statistical differences between group A and group B(P>0.05).The zinc after treatment in group C was significantly higher than that in group A and group B:(2 406.96 ± 187.60)μmol/L vs.(1 508.30 ± 135.87)and(2 001.30 ± 130.26)μmol/L,the zinc after treatment in group B was significantly higher than that in group A, and there were statistical differences(P<0.05).The pregnancy rate within 6 months in group C was significantly higher than that in group A and group B: 51.6% (31/60) vs.37.8% (17/45) and 33.3% (15/45), and there was statistical difference (P<0.05).There was no statistical difference between group A and group B (P>0.05).Conclusions Fufangxuanju capsule combined with tamoxifen citrate tablet can increase the concentration of fructose, a-glycosidase, zinc and acid phosphatase in seminal plasma, and improve the semen quality of patients with asthenospermia so as to increase the woman pregnancy rate.
