Objective] To study Professor Wang Xinghua's experience in the treatment of cough. [Methods] Typical cases of cough treated by Wang Xinghua are selected for the analysis of causes, pathogenesis, treatment methods and detailed prescription. [Results] Six exogenous climatic evils, internal injury caused by excess of seven emotions, improper diet and overwork all can damage lung Qi, inducing cough. Delayed or improper treatment can lead to sub-acute types of cough, while weak constitution and deficiency of vital Qi consumed by prolonged diseases result in chronic cough. External induced acute cough mainly is excess type, while internal damage induced chronic cough is more prone to have deficient type. Syndrome differentiation based on external and internal factors, cold and heat, deficiency and excess is recommended for the treatment of cough. Those frequently used methods include dissipating wind-cold, expelling wind-heat, clearing away phlegm-heat, reinforcing earth to generate metal, removing dampness to reduce phlegm, warming Yang for resolving fluid retention, nourishing Yin to moisten dryness. Exogenic cough should be treated with expelling pathogens, assisted with tonifying vital Qi. Chronic cough resulting from disordered visceral function should be treated with tonification and conditioning, combined with expelling pathogen. [Conclusion] Professor Wang Xinghua's experience for treating cough is worth spreading for the comprehensive understanding of the pathogenesis of the disease, accurate syndrome differentiation, unique medicine application and significant treating effect.

Objective: To study the relationship between orthodonti c treatment and temporomandibular joint disorders(TMD). Methods: The survey tables and their corresponding database were designed with the aid of computer. The questionnaire and clinical examination were administered t o 173 cases who had received orthodontic treatment (orthodontic group), 95 case s with morphologic malocclusion and without having orthodontic treatment ( maloc clusion group) and 32 cases with normal occlusion (normal group).Symptoms and s igns of TMD were collected,the data were analyzed with the databases. The establishment of the National Clinical Research Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is very helpful for TCM research. The construction of a Chinese medicine research laboratory is an important part of the National Clinical Research Base of TCM. In this paper, researches on Chinese medicine laboratory construc-tion were discussed. It was combined with the actual construction of research laboratories of our hospital. This ar-ticle also discussed the geographical features and clinical needs of the National Clinical Research Base of TCM construction. Ideas of laboratory plan, open laboratory and experimental shared services platform construction were put forward in advance .

By now,the mutations of C-KIT gene and PDGFRA have been regarded as the most important primary incidences.The latest results have revealed the fact that the abnormal expressions of p53,p16,p21 WAF-1,p27 and E-cadherin(cDH1) which were labeled as anti-oncogenes in most of human tumors,existed in the progression of gastrointestinal stromal tumor.Therefore,we put forward the theory that gene mutaion may lead to the instability of DNA that further promotes mutation of short tandem repeat in anti-oncogene coding region,on basis of which,that finally lead to the malignant progession of gastrointestinal stromal tumor by anti-oncogene mutation.

Oncocytic papilloma (OP) of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses are uncommon. We report 3 cases of oncocytic papilloma arising in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, and review the relevant literatures. Unilateral sinonasal lesions are the main clinical manifestation. Pathological feature is multiple layers of epithelial cells. The cytoplasm contains abundant eosinophilic granular and microcapsules filling with mucus. The neutrophils aggregate in the microcapsules which form microabscess. The tendence of recurrence and malignant transformation are the biological character. The best treatment choice is surgical excision completely, and long-term postoperative follow-up is necessary to prevent relapse.

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of vildagliptin combined with acarbose in treating type 2 diabetes. Methods 78 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into two groups to have additional vildagliptin combined with acarbose or acarbose combined with placebo. The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions after 12 weeks were investigated. Results In the treatment group, FBG, 2 h PG and HbA1C declined after treatment (P < 0.05) and FCP, 2 h CP, FINS and 2 h INS increased (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, FBG and HbA1c in the treatment group were reduced and owever, FCP, 2 h CP, FINS and 2 h INS were increased more significantly (P < 0.05). There was no difference in the incidence of overall BMI between the two groups (P > 0.05). There were either liver and kidney damage (P > 0.05), nor hypoglycemia. Conclusion Vildagliptin combined with acarbose is superior to Acarbose combined with placebo , and it produced no more untoward effect.

Objective To investigate the role of regulatory B cells (Breg)in children with newly diagnosed immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).Methods A total of 35 newly diagnosed ITP children admitted to the Pediatric De-partment,the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January to December 201 4 were recruited in this study,and another 20 gender -and age -matched healthy children from the Department of Medical Examination Center of the same Hospital were recruited as controls during the same period.Peripheral blood samples (3 mL from each chil-dren)were collected from all the newly diagnosed ITP children and the normal controls.Breg cells were tested by Flow Cytometry,and the expression levels of interleukin -1 0 (IL -1 0)and transforming growth factor -β1 (TGF -β1 ) mRNA were measured by real time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction.Meanwhile,the correlation be-tween Breg cells and the expression levels of IL -1 0,TGF -β1 mRNA were analyzed by Pearson correlation.Results The percentages of Breg cells in the peripheral blood of the newly diagnosed ITP children [(2.37 ±0.67)%]were sig-nificantly lower than those of the normal controls [(4.92 ±1 .32)%],and there was a significant difference (t =-7.47,P =0.000);the expression levels of IL -1 0 mRNA in the newly diagnosed ITP children(0.202 ±0.059) were significantly decreased compared with those of the normal controls(0.41 5 ±0.21 2),and there was a significant difference(t =-5.1 75,P =0.000);while the expression levels of TGF -β1 mRNA in the newly diagnosed ITP chil-dren(1 .587 ±0.823)were significantly increased than those in the normal controls(0.61 9 ±0.322),and there was a significant difference(t =4.081 ,P =0.001 ).There was a significant positive correlation between Breg cells and the ex-pression levels of IL -1 0 mRNA(rs =0.828,P <0.05),but no correlation between Breg cells and expression level of TGF -β1 mRNA was found (rs =0.527,P =0.1 1 7).Conclusions The decrease expressions of Breg cells can be found in the newly diagnosed ITP children,and the abnormal expression of Breg cells may play a key role in the immu-nological pathogenesis of the newly diagnosed ITP children.

Cellular schwannoma is a rare benign tumor of the peripheral nerves.The tumor is consist of spindle cells which arranged in interwoven bundles,and lacking the mesh district and palisading structure.The tumor cells are abundant,with coarse chromatin,deeply stained nuclei and in multiforms.So the tumor may easily be misdiagnosed as various types of spindle cell sarcoma.Intraperitoneal cellular schwannoma may also be mistaken as gastrointestinal stromal tumors.In this article,the clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of cellular schwannoma were analyzed based on the clinical data of a patient with cellular schwannoma in the gastric wall misdiagnosed as gastric stromal tumor.

Objective To observe effects of auricular-point plaster therapy on children simple obesity.Methods A total of 97 children of simple obesity were treated with auricular-point plaster.Body mass index was measured before and after the treatment.Therapeutic effects and positive changes of auricle were also observed.ResultsBody mass index decreased significantly(P＜0.01)after the treatment as compared to the pre-treatment(t=3.142,P＜0.01).Positive changes of auricle reduced.Auricular-point plaster showed therapeutic effects on obesity in different extents.Conclusion Auricular-point plaster was effective in treating children with simple obesity.
