AIM: To investigate the effect of dexamethasone on eosinophil apoptosis and expression of interleukin-5 mRNA and interleukin-10 mRNA in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) of asthmatic guinea pig. Objective To explore the value of complete mesocolic excision ( CME) for patients with colon carcinoma. Methods The 68 patients with colon carcinoma were divided into CME group (n=34) and control group (n=34) randomly. The patients in CME group were managed CME and the control group were arranged traditional open operation. The operation condition, preoperative complications, a-mount of lymph node scavenged,and the relapse rate of the 2 groups were contrasted. Results The operation period,the hospital stays,period of passage of gas by anus,the drainage volume post 3 days of operation and the period of drainage tube extraction of CME group were respec-tively(158 ± 38) min,(13. 4 ± 4. 0),(2. 3 ± 0. 5) d,(123. 3 ± 20. 5) mL,(12. 3 ± 2. 5) d,with no difference compared to control group (P>0. 05). The intraoperative bleeding volume of CME group (112. 3 ± 35. 5) mL was less than that of control group (146. 6 ± 36. 7) mL (P<0. 05). There was no difference in complication and the amount of lymph nodes scavenged of patients between 2 groups(P>0. 05). But the amount of lymph nodes scavenged of patients in TNM Ⅱ and Ⅲ of CME group (18. 6 ± 6. 7),(22. 6 ± 8. 6) was more than that of control group (15. 2 ± 4. 8),(16. 8 ± 6. 7)(P=0. 019 0,0. 002 8). The relapse rate in CME group (0. 0%) was lower than that in control group (17. 6%)(χ2 =4. 569 9,P=0. 032 5). Conclusion CME will not increase the risks of radical operation for colon carcinoma,but can scavenge more lymph nodes and decrease the tumor relapse rate.

Objective To investigate the correlation of angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor (AT1R) gene polymorphism with AT1R expression levels and brain edema after hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage .Methods 45 operative patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage in the Affiliated Yongchuan Hospital of Chongqing Medical Univercity from December 2011 to August 2012 were collected as the experimental group and 45 operative patients with refractory epilepsy weres selected as the control group .The venous blood in the two groups were collected for detecting the AT 1R gene polymorphism ;The brain tissue was taken from lesions in operation ,then AT1R mRNA concentration was determined by RT-PCR and the AT1R protein level was determined by Western blot ;Head CT was performed on postoperative 1 ,3 ,5 d;the degree of cerebral edema was reflected by CT value . Results The levels of two kinds of genotype AT1R mRNA in the experimental group had no statistically significant difference(P>0 .05);the operative area CT value of AC genotype was significantly lower than that of AA genotype with statistical difference (P<0 .05);the ATIRmRNA of various genotypes ,protein level and cerebral edema in the control group had no statistical differences . Conclusion The AT 1R gene polymorphism has no obvious correlation with the concentration expression of AT 1R mRNA in the brain tis-sue;there is correlation between AT 1R protein level and AT 1R protein level and the cerebral edema degree in the brain tissue .

Objective To sum up the clinical experience of operative management of tibia plateau fracture in senile patients. Methods 35 cases of senile tibia plateau fracture were treated with different ways of internal fixation, including screw, cannulated compression screw, L shaped plate, and T shaped plate. Results All the 35 cases were followed up and the time ranged from 6 months to 2 years. X ray films showed that the anatomical reduction was reached and the fractures healed in 33 cases. The final results were rated according to Merchant criteria: excellent in 22 cases, good in 9 cases, fair in 2 cases and poor in 2 cases. The excellent and good rates were 85.7%. Conclusions Operation on senile patients with tibia plateau fracture should be performed early so as to reconstruct the articular surface. Rigid fixation and bone transplantation are impartment means to avoid plateau collapse, and early functional exercise can reduce postoperative complications.

Objective To observe the influence of Ligustrazine on the hemodynamic effects and prognosis in elderly patients with early cerebral ischemia following intracranial aneurysm operation ,and explore the therapeutic value .Methods 43 elderly patients with ECI following intracranial aneurysm operation were randomly divided into the Ligustrazine group (20 cases) ,and the conven-tional treatment group(23 cases)according to the table of random numbers .The patients in the Ligustrazine group were given intra-venously Ligustrazine injection and combined with conventional therapy ,whereas ,other patients were given conventional treat-ments .Results The clinical effective rate in Ligustrazine group was significantly higher than conventional treatment group (P<0 .05) .Patients recovered well in conventional treatment group were 7 cases(30 .43% ) ,mild disability 8 cases(34 .78% ) ,severe dis-ability 4 cases(17 .39% ) ,plant survival 1 case(4 .34% ) ,3 cases died(13 .06% ) ,data peer-based in the Ligustrazine group were 12 cases(60 .00% ) ,5 cases(25 .00% ) ,2 cases(10 .00% ) ,0 case and 1 case(5 .00% ) ,which were significantly lower than that of con-ventional treatment group .The prognostic scores in Ligustrazine group were apparently higher than conventional treatment group by using Glasgow outcome scale and Chinese stroke scale(P<0 .05) .Meanwhile ,the indicators of hemodynamic effects also reflec-ted that the Ligustrazine improved the blood circulation of patients with ECI ,which was better than the conventional treatment group(P<0 .05) .Conclusion The Ligustrazine Phosphate for injection showed better curative effect and prognosis in elderly pa-tients with ECI following intracranial aneurysm operation .

Objective To investigate the correlation between cornexin37 (Cx37) CI019T polymorphism and ischemic stroke and its outcome.Methods Restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis was used to detect the distribution of Cx37 C1019T polymorphism in a ischemic stroke group and a control group.The modified Rankin scale (mRS) was used to evaluate the neurological outcome at 3 months after onset.Results A total of 235 patients in the control group,and 232 patients in the ischemic stroke goup were recruited.In the ischemic stroke group,210 had a good outcome (mRS ＜3) and 22 had a poor outcome (mRS≥ 3).The TT genotype (12.93％ vs.6.39％ ; x2 =10.087,P =0.006) and T allele (31.25％ vs.21.49％ ; x2 =11.466,P=0.001) frequency in the ischemic stroke group were significantly higher than those in the control group.Multivariatelogistic regression analysis showed that TT genotype (odds ratio [OR] 5.794; 95％ confidence interval [CI] 1.405-23.894; P =0.015) and T allele (OR 131.016,95％ CI 6.943 -2 472.477; P =0.001)signifkantly increased the risk of ischemic stroke.Univariate analysis showed that TT genotype (OR 0.650,95％ CI 0.144 - 2,934; P =0.575),CT genotype (OR 0.622,95％ CI 0.234 - 1.655; P =0.342),and CC genotype (OR 0.654,95％ CI 0.268 - 1.595; P =0.350) had no significant correlation with the outcome of ischemic stroke.Conclusions Cx37 1019TT genotype and T allele may increase the risk of ischemic stroke.T allele is one of genetic susceptibility factors for ischemic stroke; however,its gene polymorphism is not associated with the outcome of ischemic stroke at 3 months after onset.

Objective To explore whether major depressive disorder（MDD）and the therapeutic effect of fluoxetine are related to a functional polymorphism-1019C/G in the promoter region of the 5-HT1A receptor（HTR1A）gene.Methods Genotype and allele frequencies of HTR1A receptor gene-1019C/G polymorphism in MDD patients and healthy subjects（control）were examined by PCR-RFLP technique.Before and after the MDD patients accepted fluoxetine treatment for 6 weeks,17-item Hamilton depression rating scales（HAMD）were made to determine the severity of the symptoms,the outcome and remission status.Results There were significant differences in-1019C/G gene genotypes and alleles distribution between the patients and the healthy control,G allele frequency of the MDD patient was higher than that of the healthy control（P 0.05）.There were significant differences in HAMD scores among the patients with different genotypes in MDD group（P 0.05）,the score of C/C genotype patient was especially higher than that of C/G genotype（P 0.05）and G/G genotype patient（P =0.008）.There was no statistical difference in the therapeutic effect of fluoxetine among the patients with different genotypes in MDD group（P =0.761）.Conclusion HTR1A gene-1019C/G genetic polymorphism might related to MDD,especially G allele might be the possible risk factor of MDD.C allele might be correlated with the degree of pathogenetic severity,especially patients with the-1019C/C carriers.-1019C/G genetic polymorphism was not related to the clinical outcome of MDD patients treated with fluoxetine.

Objective To investigate the expression and relationship between Phosphatase and tension homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN) and Alpha fetoprotein(AFP) in hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods PTEN and AFP expression was examined by immunohistochemical method. Results PTEN expression was significantly weaker in patients with tumor less than 5.0 cm and patients with CLIP score≥1 (P<0.05). The expression of PTEN and AFP was negatively correlated ( Rs=-0.422, P=0.043), serum AFP and tissue expression of AFP was positively correlated (Rs=0.380, P=0.042), but for individual expression was not consistent. Conclusions PTEN and AFP is respectively negative and positive adjustment factor of PI3K/AKT pathway. Tissue expression of AFP may be more significant, and may become the new targets for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)granules made by the formula of Shegan Mahuang decoction for treatment of patients with asthma. Methods A prospective study was conducted,51 cases of light to moderate asthma(cold type)patients were randomly divided into treatment group (25 cases)and control group(26 cases). Conventional symptomatic treatments were of the same in two groups. The patients in control group were given salbutamol aerosol inhalation,100μg each time,4 times per day;based on the treatment of the control group,additionally the above mentioned TCM granules dissolved in water was administered orally 1 dose/day taken twice once in the morning and another once in the evening in treatment group. The therapeutic course was 12 weeks in both groups. Before and after treatment,the asthma control test(ACT)score,forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1)and peak expiratory flow(PEF)were observed. The therapeutic effect,adverse reaction and compliance were evaluated. Results The number of patients with asthma completely controlled in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(16 cases vs. 9 cases,χ2=4.82,P=0.028). In the patients of two groups,FEV1,PEF and ACT scores were significantly improved after treatment,and in the treatment group,they were obviously higher than those in control group〔FEV1(L):2.67±0.46 vs. 2.32±0.47,PEF(L/min):327.6±49.4 vs. 273.1±42.8,ACT score:22.8±2.0 vs. 21.1±2.6,all P<0.05〕. After treatment,FEV1%predicted value was increased in the treatment group but decreased in control group,there was significantly statistical difference〔(0.68±0.07)% vs.(0.80±0.11)%,P<0.05〕,no significant adverse reaction was found,compliance was good. Conclusion TCM granules made by formula of Shegan Mahuang decoction can improve the clinical symptoms, pulmonary function and control level in patients with asthma,so it is an effective medicine for the control of asthma.

OBJECTIVE:The bioequivalence and pharmacokinetics of two kinds of domestic meloxicam tablets were studied in 20 healthy male volunteers METHODS:A dose of 15mg of domestic or imported meloxicam(test and reference preparation)was given according to arandomized 2-way cross-over design,blood samples were withdrawn up to 96 hours post administration,and plasma concentration of meloxicam was determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)method RESULTS:The peak plasma levels(Cmax)of meloxicam test drug and reference drug were (2 736 2?312 0)and(2 665 6?333 8)?g/L,respectively,the peak time(Tmax)were(4 25?1 16)h and(4 00?1 30)h,respectively,T1/2ke were(21 67?3 81)h and(21 05?3 30)h,respectively,and AUC0～t were(96 454 6?25 526 6)and(95 692 5?24 532 6)?g/(h?L),respectively There were no significant differences in AUC0～t,Tmax,Cmax and T1/2ke between two kinds of tablet CONCLUSION:The relative bioavailability data obtained in the study furnished definite proof of bioequivalence of both domestic meloxicam tablets and imported meloxicam tablets The relative bioavailablility of the test drug was(101 3?11 9)%
