BACKGROUND:The mechanical characteristics of intramedul ary and intramedul ary fixations for treating intertrochanteric fracture were hot research of finite element, but there was few comparative research on tension side and pressure side of proximal femur. In our study, we found that the distribution of the stress zone was important indication to researches on intertrochanteric fracture and internal fixation design. OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of intramedul ary and extramedul ary fixations for treating intertrochanteric fracture on pressure side and tensile side of proximal femur. METHODS:CT scan and Mimics modeling of volunteer’s femur were conducted, and the model Evans type I intertrochanteric fracture was constructed and treated with proximal femoral nail antirotation and dynamic hip screw respectively. The stress condition of proximal femur in weight status was simulated. The Abaqus 6.13 was used for finite element analysis, and the tension side and pressure side of proximal femur in both fixations were also analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The stresses of compressive side and tensile side in proximal femoral nail antirotation group were both less than that in dynamic hip screw group. The stress of proximal femur in proximal femoral nail antirotation group was more similar to that in physiological status. (2) These findings verified that for treating intertrochanteric fracture, intramedul ary fixation exerted better mechanical behavior than extramedul ary fixation. The protection of compressive side and tensile side of proximal femur had achieved by intramedul ary fixation.

The model of knee OA (KOA) was established in our laboratory with three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction technique based on the CT data. We then designed the unicompartmental prosthesis matching KOA model with parametric software Pro/e 5. 0. Finally, the models were used to mimic the operation of knee unicompantment replacement and the model of unicompartmental knee athroplasty (UKA) was analyzed using 3D finite element method. The results indicates that the approach for designing the model by 3D parametric is effective and meets the need of automation and efficacy to design unicompartmental prosthesis. The results proves that the model is vivid and precise, and the 3D parameteric modeling method can provide biomechanical research of unicompantment replacement with model foundation and new experimental method. It can be widely utilized in the clinics and research.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2016;25(10):588-591
Objective To investigate the characteristics of activation-induced cytidine deaminase (AID) expression level in de novo acute leukemia (AL) patients, chronic myeloid leukemia chronic phase (CML-CP), chronic myeloid leukemia blastic crisis (CML-BC) patients and leukemia cell lines. Methods The expression level of AID mRNA was measured in 89 cases of newly-diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients, 79 cases of de novo acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, 5 cases of CML-BC patients, 5 cases of CML-CP patients and leukemia cell lines NB4, THP-1, KG-1, Raji, K562 by real-time quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), bone marrow mononuclear cells of 16 normal healthy donors were used as the control group. Results The expression levels of AID mRNA in 89 cases of ALL and 79 cases of AML were 0.006-7 463.175 and 0.005-69.107, the median expression levels were 3.785 and 1.812, the expression level of AID mRNA in the normal control group was 0.146-4.707, and the median expression level was 1.483, respectively. The AID expression levels of ALL, B-ALL, Burkitt leukemia, M4 patients and Raji cells were significantly higher than those of the normal control group (all P <0.05). Nevertheless, the AID mRNA expression levels of M3 patients and NB4, KG-1 cells were lower than those of the normal control group (all P <0.05). Furthermore, the AID mRNA expression levels of K562 cell were strikingly higher than that of the CML-CP patients (P<0.001), so were those of CML-BC, chronic myeloid leukemia myeloid blast crisis (CML-MBC), chronic myeloid leukemia lymphoblastic blast crisis (CML-LBC) patients. Conclusion AID gene shows high expression level in B-ALL, Burkitt leukemia and M4, low expression level in M3 and KG-1 cells, and obvious high expression level in CML-BC.

This paper is aimed to acquire high Geometric similar Subject-specific three-dimensional (3D) finite element mesh model of hip joint containing necrotic femoral head according to individual patient's X-ray, CT and MRI by using the image registration and fusion technology. We selected a middle-aged female patient with osteonecrosis of femoral head, obtained the X-ray, CT and MRI images respectively. Then we established 3D solid model separately based on these image data by using Mimics 13. 1 and Pro/E 5.1 software. We confirmed the match points and then proceed the 2D image registration after image projection conversion. Finally we showed the 3D finite element mesh model. A highly geometric similar subject-specific 3D finite element mesh model for osteonecrosis of femoral head has been established, which included normal cortical bone, cancellous bone, articular cartilage and necrotic zone, fractured trabecular bone within the femoral head. The model truly reflects the morphological characteristics and relationship of hip joint with osteonecrosis of femoral head, provides a relatively ideal research platform for further biomechanical analysis and surgical simulation.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2020;44(1):33-37
Accompanied by changes in modern work and lifestyle, the incidence of cervical spondylosis has increased year by year. In view of the fact long-term fixed posture of the head and neck is one of the main causes of cervical spondylosis, a set of wearable cervical spondylosis prevention system is developed. The system comprises a head and neck movement collection module based on the acceleration sensor and a head and neck motion recognition module based on artificial intelligence. Experimental results showed that the system can accurately identify long-term posture of the head and neck, and guide users to complete effective exercise therapy under the supervision of motion recognition module. Using this system can be beneficial for the prevention of cervical spondylosis.
