Many kinds of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)exist in the indoor air,the chemical reaction will occur among the pollutants when O3 and NO2 exist simultaneously.This reaction can severely impact the indoor air quality and produce some adverse effects on human health.The main chemical reactions among the indoor air pollutants and the potential health effects associated with inhalation exposure to the products of the chemical reaction in the indoor air were discussed in the present paper.The study of the chemical reactions among indoor VOCs is very important for human health and is helpful for revising the Indoor Air Quality Standard and making the 'Ecologic Label' of building materials.
2.Effect of Ammoniummeta Vanadate on Tissue Structure of Jejunum in Rats

Objective To study the influence of ammoniummeta vanadate on the histological structure of jejunum of rats. Methods One hundred and twelve healthy and clean SD rats were randomly divided into the high dosage (60 mg/L),the moderate dosage(40 mg/L),the low dosage(20 mg/L) and the control group(distilled water),28 in each group,the males and females in the same number,the administration was conducted through drinking water,for 8 consecutive weeks. In the 4th and 8th weeks,the length of jejunum villus,the depth of jejunum gland and the thickness of jejunum wall were measured,the ratio of villus length and gland depth were counted and the pathological examination was done. Results With the increase of ammoniummeta vanadate,the weight of SD rats,the jejunum villus length,the depth of the jejunum gland,the wall thickness had showed a downward trend,the ratio of villus length and gland depth were significantly lower (P
3.Clinical observation on acupuncture combined with tuina manipulation for thoracic facet joint disorder

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with tuina manipulation for thoracic facet joint disorder. Methods:A total of 93 eligible cases were randomly allocated into an observation group and a control group. Patients in the observation group (n=46) were treated with acupuncture combined with tuina manipulation, whereas patients in the control group (n=47) were treated with tuina manipulation alone. The treatment was done once a day, for a total of 3 times. Therapeutic efficacies were then evaluated according to scores on signs and symptoms.
Results:After treatment, there were intra-group statistically significant differences in scores of eight signs and symptoms (all P<0.01); and the between-group differences were statistically significant in scores of eight signs and symptoms (all P<0.05). After three times of treatment, the recovery rate in the observation group was 54.4%, versus 25.4% in the control group, showing a statistical significance (P<0.05).
Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with tuina manipulation can obtain better effects than tuina manipulation alone for thoracic facet joint disorder and is therefore worth further clinical application.
4.HPLC Determination of Aloin and Aloeemodin in Barbodos Aloe

Objective To isolate and determine Aloin and Aloeemodin in Barbodos Aloe by ionic liquid-based ultrasonic-assisted extraction coupled with high performance liquid chromatography, with 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([BMIM]Br) solution as the extraction solvent. Methods The separation was performed on Phenomenex C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) with detection wavelength of 360 nm. The mobile phase was consisted of methanol-0.3% acetic acid solution (65∶35) with the flow rate of 0.80 mL/min, and the column temperature at 35 ℃. Results The calibration curves for Aloin and Aloeemodin were liner within 0.000 336-1.68 μg (r=0.999 96) and 0.000 608-3.04 μg (r=0.999 76), respectively. The limit of detection (LOD) was 0.05 06 ng/mL and 0.262 ng/mL, respectively. The average recovery was 95.99% and 95.80%, respectively. Conclusion The method is simple, rapid, accurate, sensitive, low cost and environment-friendly, thus it provides an effective means for assaying anthraquinones in Barbodos Aloe.
5.A phenomenological model for the dynamics of cell cycle in responding to X-rays

Objective To establish a model to predict the cell-cycle process in response to ionizing radiation.Methods Human choroidal malignant melanoma 92-1 cells were used and the cell cycle distribution of cells was analyzed in 0-96 h after exposure to X-rays.A phenomenological model was constructed based on biological knowledge to describe the cell cycle dynamics in experiments.Results In the present study,a phenomenological model was constructed to describe the cellcycle dynamics of synchronized 92-1 cells in responding to various doses of ionizing radiation.The simulation results obtained with the model were consistent with the experimental data,demonstrating that the model had a good expansibility and could be used to predict the dynamics of cell cycle in responding to ionizing radiation.Further theoretical modeling of the cellcycle dynamics was made and the results were consistent with the simulation.Conclusions A phenomenological model was constructed which could be used to describe the dynamics of cell cycle of cells exposed to ionizing radiation and was supported by the experimental data.Because this model is easy to run by the written code,it has a good expansibility for studying the behaviors of cell populations under various conditions.
6.Hemangioblastoma: clinicopathologic analyses of 40 cases

Purpose To analyze the clinicopathologic features, immunophenotypes, image features and diagnosis of hemangioblastoma.Methods The clinical and pathological features were studied with HE and immunohistochemical staining in 40 cases of hemangioblastoma.The image features were studied with CT and MRI.Results The clinical symptoms of these cases were dizziness,headache,vomitting, optic disc edema and ataxia. The CT and MRI showed a sharply demarcated tumor with cystic areas and a solid mural nodule. After enhancement scanning, the mural nodule was usually enhanced and the wall of the cystic area was not. Histopathologically, this tumor was characterized by two main components: capillary and stromal cells. Immunohistochemically, the endotheliocyte was positive for CD34 and FⅧRAg, but most of the stromal cells were positive for S-100 and part of the cells were also positive for NSE. The endotheliocyte and the stromal cell were all positive for vimentin, but negative for GFAP, EMA and p53. The expression of Ki-67 was very low.Conclusions Hemangioblastoma is characterized by stromal cells and numerous capillary, but the origin of the stromal cell is not clear. Its image features have some characteristics. It needs to be distinguished from pilocytic astrocytoma, angiomatous meningioma and renal carcinoma.

8.A mandibular canine with two roots and two root canals: A case report

The mandibular canine usually has a single-root with a single canal. A case of a patient who has a mandibular canine with two well-defined roots and two root canals was reported. Size of the lingual root and buccal root was equal. The buccal root length was 24.5 mm. The lingual root length was 23.0 mm. Clinicians should be aware of the anatomical variation that exists in mandibular canines in practice.
9.Intracranial aneurysms on dual-source CT angiography:comparison with conventional and three dimensional DSA

Objective To assess the value of dual-source computed tomography angiography (DSCTA)in detecting intracranial aneurysms by comparing with conventional and three-dimensional DSA.Methods In this study,95 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH)underwent both DSCTA and DSA examination.The detection rate,size,and ratio of the neck to the dome(N/D ratio)of the aneurysrns were evaluated.Statistical analysis was performed using a paired sample Student's t-test for the comparisons of the value of N/D and 2 Related Samples test for long axis.Results A total of 67 aneurysms in 63 patients at DSA and 64 aneurysms in 60 patients at DSCTA were detected,respectively;whereas no aneurysm was detected in 32 patients at DSA.Compared with DSA,the overall sensitivity.specificity,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value of DSCTA on a per-aneurysm basis were 94.2%,100.0%,100.0%,and 91.4%,respectively.For the aneurysms larger than 3 mm,the sensitivity and specificity of DSCTA in detecting intracranial aneurysms were equal to those of DSA:For aneurysms smaller than 3 mm,however,the sensitivity and specificity of DSCTA is 80.0% and 100.0%.The N/D ratio for DSA and DSC:TA was 0.46±0.14 and 0.51±0.18.respectively,and the median of long axis was 4.9 mm and 4.8 mm.respectively.There was no significant difierence in the N/D ratio(t=3.20;P>0.05)and the long axis(Z=-1.309;P>0.05)between DSA and DSCT.Condusions Compared with conventional and three-dimensional digital subtraction angiography,DSCTA has high sensitivity and specificity in the detection of intracranial aneurysms,especially for detection of snlall aneurysnm(<3 mm).It can be used as a routine screening technique.
10.Influence of psychological nursing on the therapeutic effect of patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes

Objective To discuss the influence of psychological nursing on the therapeutic effect of patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes. Methods Patients (60 cases) who received psychological nursing were set as the nursing group. Patients (65 cases) who did not received psychological nursing were set as the control group. The number of patients who received early insulin treatment and whose fasting plasma glucose return to normal value on the 7th and 30th days after treatment was observed. Results The number of patients who received early insulin treatment and whose fasting plasma glucose return to normal value on the 7th and 30th days after treatment in the nursing group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusions Psychological nursing of patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes could make patients obey doctors' advice and accept early insulin treatment to control plasma glucose and delete the toxicity of high concentration of plasma glucose as soon as possible.
