Objective To explore whether portal vein injection of small interfering RNA(siRNA) targeting connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) could inhibit CTGF expression in rats liver in vivo and prevent rats hepatic fibrosis. Methods Twenty four male rats were equaly divided into four groups. Rats received subcutaneous injection of 40% CCl4 (3 ml/kg) together with portal vein injection of saline every three days for 6 consecutive weeks were served as model group; CCl4 together with portal vein delivery of siRNA (0.1 mg/kg) as preventive group; CCl4 for 2 weeks followed by CCl4 and CTGF siRNA for more than 4 weeks as curative group, and only intraportal injection of saline as control group. Portal vein pressure in all rats at 3 days after the last CCl4 injection were measured, and blood and hepatic tissue from rats were harvested. Serum concentration of transaminases, hyaluronic acid(HA) and procollagen type Ⅲ (PⅢNP) were measured. Expression of CTGF mRNA and protein in rats liver was evaluated by RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. Inflammation and fibrosis in rats liver was analyzed by H-E and Sirius red collagen staining. The fibrotic area was measured quantitatively by a computer-aided manipulator. Results Compared with model group, the expression of CTGF mRNA and protein in liver in both preventive and curative groups were markedly down-regulated. Inflammation, necrosis and fibrosis in hepatic tissue was significantly attenuated. In addition, the serum concentration of transaminases, HA and PⅢNP were greatly reduced. Objective:To investigate the application value of serum procalcitonin in patients with viral infection,bacterial infection and severe bacterial infection.Methods:Selected60 cases of patients with infection who were treated in our hospital from June 2014toDecember 2016,divided into three groupsaccording to the severity of the infection,viral infection (group A) 15 cases,general bacterial infection (group B) 22 cases,and severe bacterial infection (group C) 23 cases.Three groups of patients were treated with symptomatic treatment,and after admission,the serum procalciton in levels were detected in 1,3,5,7 d,and compared with the serum procalcitonin levels before and after treatment in the three groups.Results:The serum procalcitonin ≥ 0.5 μg/L number of B group and C group had no significant difference (P＞0.05),the serum procalcitonin ≥ 0.5 μg/L number of A group was significantly lower than that of B group and C group (P＜0.05);the survival rate of severe bacterial infection patients whose serum procalcitonin was higher than than 0.5 μg/L was significantly higher than those who with serum procalcitonin lower than 0.5 μg/L (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Serumprocalcitonin level had a good application value in the clinical diagnosis prognostic prediction of patients with severe infection.

OBJECTIVETo preliminarily study the effect of fertilizer methods on the yield and quality of Fritillaria ussuriensis.

METHODThrough the investigation of the available nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium in soil fertility of F. ussuriensis planting field as well as the measurement of total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium contents in bulbus of F. ussuriensis, the balanced fertilization plan for cultivation of F. ussuriensis was made.

RESULTThe optimal fertilizing amount was 13.0 kg x m(-2) pig dung, or 5.5 kg x m(-2) deer dung and 6.5 kg x m(-2) pig dung, or 11.0 kg x m(-2) deer dung.

CONCLUSIONEffective fertilizing may increase significantly the yield and quality of F. ussuriensis.

Objective To study the imaging characters and pathological diagnosis for space occupying lesions of the liver with atypical clinical and laboratory features.Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data and treatment of 40 patients with space occupying lesions of the liver in which preoperative correct diagnosis was difficult,the imageological appearances and the final pathological diagnosis of these 40 space occupying lesions were compared,the specificity of B-ultrasonotomography、dynamic contrast-enhanced CT and MR scanning in identifying lesions was evaluated.Results All lesions were surgically resected.On pathology there were 22 hepatocellular carcinomas,7 macroregenerative nodules,2 focal nodular hyperplasias,2 cholangiocellular carcinomas,2 hemangiomas,2 regenerative nodules and 1 hepatocellular adenoma,1 hepatic peliosis,1 antixenic nodule.The specificity of the Bultrasonotomography for all lesions was only 20%;dynamic contrast-enhanced CT has low specificity in differential diagnosis of liver carcinoma and macroregenerative nodule and the overall specificity was 42.5%;dynamic contrast-enhanced MR scanning has excellent capability in differential diagnosing of all lesions and its specificity was 92.5%.Conclusion The preoperative diagnosis for some space occupying lesions of the liver is difficult,the differential diagnosis of these lesions should be emphasized,the dynamic contrastenhanced MR scanning for space occupying lesions of the liver has high specificity.

Aim To investigate the role of GC in indu-cing apoptosis of amygdaloid neurons.Methods Cul-turing primary neurons of amygdala,the neurons were identified by immunefluorescence techniques with anti-body against microtubule associated protein-2 (MAP2 ) and antibody against GC receptor.Using flow cytome-try to detect the effects of different concentrations of dexamethasone on the amygdala neuron apoptosis. Then the experiment was divided into four groups:CON ,DEX ,DEX +MIF and MIF .The rate of apopto-sis of the four groups was detected by TUNEL tech-nique and the expressions of BAX mRNA of four groups by Real-time PCR technique.Results (1 )Compared with the control group, the percentage of apoptotic cells increased significantly with DEX(10 -8 mol·L-1~10 -6 mol · L-1 )treatment in a concentration-de-pendent manner.(2)the TUNEL test showed that the percentage of apoptotic cells of DEX group increased significantly,compared with control group.While it decreased significantly in DEX+MIF group,compared with DEX group.There was no difference between MIF group and control group.(3 )Compared with control group,the expressions of BAX mRNA of DEX group increased significantly.While the expressions of BAX mRNA of DEX +MIF group decreased significantly, compared with the DEX group.There was no difference between MIF group and control group.Conclusion GC can independently induce the apoptosis of primary cultured neurons in the amygdala by combining with GC receptor.

Objective:The aim of this study was to assess the diagnostic accuracy of dual-source computed tomography(DSCT) in the evaluation of coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods:Fifty-two patients(44 male,8 female,mean age 70.59) with a high pre-test probability of CAD underwent DSCT coronary angiography and selective coronary angiography(SCA).Two physicians independently assessed the images of all coronary segments.Results:The overall sensitivity,specificity,positive and negative predictive value for evaluating CAD were 92.31%,99.82%,90.57%,and 99.32%,respectively.Conclusion:The result indicates that DSCT coronary angiography provides high diagnostic accuracy for assessment of CAD.And it is a better choice for CAD evaluation.

Objective To investigate whether recombinant human endostatin can create a time window of vascular normalization prior to vascular pruning to alleviate hypoxia in Lewis lung carcinoma in mice. Methods Kinetic changes in morphology of tumor vasculature in response to recombinant human endostatin were detected under a confocal microscope with immunofluorescent staining in Lewis lung carcinomas in mice. The hypoxic cell fraction of different time was assessed with immunohistochemical staining . Effects on tumor growth were monitored as indicated in the growth curve of tumors . Results Compared with the control group vascularity of the tumors was reduced over time by recombinant human endostatin treatment and significantly regressed for 9 days. During the treatment, pericyte coverage increased at day 3, increased markedly at day 5, and fell again at day 7. The vascular basement membrane was thin and closely associated with endothelial cells after recombinant human endostatin treatment, but appeared thickened, loosely associated with endothelial cells in control tumors. The decrease in hypoxic cell fraction at day 5 after treatment was also found. Tumor growth was not accelerated 5 days after recombinant human endostatin treatment. Conclusions Recombinant human endostatin can normalize tumor vasculature within day 3 to 7, leading to improved tumor oxygenation. The results provide important experimental basis for combining recombinant human endostatin with radiation therapy in human tumors.

Objective To observe the efficacy of Sorafenib in preventing and treating tumor recurrence after liver transplantation for patients with primary hepatic carcinoma beyond Milan criteria.Methods From March 2008 to June 2010,30 patients of liver transplantation with primary hepatic carcinoma exceeding Milan criteria were randomized into 2 groups,each group of 15 cases.Beginning one month posttransplantatoin patients in the experimental group received oral administration of Sorafenib (400 mg bid),while those in the control group received Capecitabine ( 1500 mg bid) for 14 days every 4 weeks.Drug was withdrawn in patients without recurrence in 18 months after transplantation,recurrent patients maintained the original dose until they were not suitable for the medication.Results The 1 year recurrence rate in experimental group was 53.3％,that in control group was 86.6％ ( x2 =3.968,P ＜ 0.05).The 1 year survival rate in experimental group was 93.3％,that in the control group was 46.6％( x2 =7.777,P ＜ 0.05 ).The mean survival time of patients in experimental group was (24.6 ± 1.7 ) months (7 - 28 months),that in the control group was ( 16.4 ± 2.7 ) months ( 5 - 34 months ) ( x2 =7.154,P ＜ 0.05).Most adverse reactions in both groups were of grade Ⅰ - Ⅱ.The incidence of diarrhea and handfoot syndrome in experimental group is higher than that in control group.Conclusions Using Sorafenib for patients with primary hepatic carcinoma exceeding Milan criteria after liver transplantation may reduce carcinoma recurrence rate,and prolong patients' survival time.

AIM: To make a contribution to the work for myopia prevention and control by analyzing the date of 52 226 axial length characteristics statistically form multiple dimensionalities.

METHODS: A retrospective study with large sample was conducted. Sex, age and eye axial length of children and adolescent aged 4 to 22 with refractive errors who visited Dongguan Guangming Ophthalmological Hospital from 2009 to 2018 were collected. A total of 26 113 patients(52 226 eyes)were enrolled. Axial length data were analyzed statistically in three dimensions, including gender, laterality and age.

RESULTS: Among the children and adolescent aged 4 to 22 with refractive errors in Dongguan Area, axial length of female group was shorter than male group(t=34.297, P<0.001). The shorter axial length of left eye was observed in the group aged 10 to 22(t=5.362, P<0.001). There were two peaks in the growth rate of axial length: 7-8 years old and 18 years old respectively. A linear regression formula was derived: axial length in male group(mm)=21.97+0.224×age(F=14352.9, P<0.001 adjusted R2=0.332), axial length in female group(mm)=21.40+0.234 ×age(F=12491.9, P<0.001 adjusted R2=0.349).

CONCLUSION: Among the children and adolescent aged 4 to 22 in Dongguan, the average axial length of female is shorter than male. The increase of axial length were observed in the right eye compared to the left eye starting from the age of 10, the growth rate of axial length is faster in two age groups: 7 to 8 years old and 18 years old.

Objective To evaluate the immune effects of bivalent inactivated rotavirus vaccine (IRV) and investigate the viability of development of bivalent IRV.Methods Firstly,bivalent IRV was prepared by mixing G1 IRV and G3 IRV with equal amount,G1 IRV and G3 IRV as monovalent control,PBS as negative control.Secondly,those vaccines were vaccinated to the mice by intramuscular injection.Then,to evaluate the immune effects of bivalent IRV,the levels of serum or fecal rotavirus specific IgG and IgA were assessed by ELISA,the levels of serum neutralized antibody were measured by microneutralization assay,the number of IFN-γ or IL-4 secreting cells were analyzed by ELISPOT assay.Results Compared to negative control group,bivalent IRV induced the higher levels of serum and fecal G1 and G3 rotavirus specific antibody.It was found that there were no significant differences for the levels of serum IgG and IgA,fecal IgG and IgA,serum neutralized antibody between induced by bivalent IRV and induced by G1 type monovalent vaccines ; but there were significantly increase for the levels of serum IgG (t =2.691,P＜0.05) and serum neutralized antibody (t =2.561,P＜0.05) between induced by bivalent IRV and induced by G3 monovalent vaccines,there were no significant differences for other antibodies between induced by bivalent IRV and induced by G3 monovalent vaccines.At the same time,compared to negative control group,bivalent IRV induced significantly increase in the number of IFN-γ or IL-4 secreting cells in spleen lymphocytes.It was found that there were no significant differences for the number of IFN-γ or IL-4 secreting cells stimulated by G1 rotavirus between bivalent IRV and G1 monovalent vaccines; but there were significantly increase for the number of IL-4 secreting cells (t =2.327,P＜0.05) stimulated by G3 rotavirus between bivalent IRV and G3 monovalent vaccines,there were no significant differences for the number of IFN-γ secreting cells stimulated by G3 rotavirus between bivalent IRV and G3 type monovalent vaccines.Conclusion The bivalent IRV can induce effective immune response,in which there were no inhibitory interference between the components of bivalent IRV,which provided the experimental basis for the development of bivalent IRV.
