1.Determination of Hyperoside and Chlorogenic Acid in Menoprogen by RP-HPLC

OBJECTIVE:To establish a RP-HPLC method for the content determination of Hyperoside and Chlorogenic acid in Menoprogen capsules.METHODS:The samples were separated on Kromasil C18 column,with mixtures of 0.1% phosphoric acid and acetonitrile as mobile phase in a gradient elution at a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1.The column temperature was 30 ℃;the detection wavelength of Hyperoside was 205 nm and that of Chlorogenic acid was 325 nm.RESULTS:Hyperoside and Chlorogenic acid showed good linear relationship over the ranges of 0.015 1~0.241 4 mg?mL-1(r=0.999 3) and 0.012 6~0.201 8 mg?mL-1(r=0.999 1),respectively.The average recoveries were 98.89% and 97.95% with RSD at 0.52% and 0.82%,respectively.CONCLUSION:This method is simple,rapid and sensitive,and it can be used for the quality control of Menoprogen capsule.
2.Experimental study of Schwann cell growth and migration on biodegradable steroframe

Objective To observe the behavior of Schwann cell migration and wrapping up of fibres during co-culture of Schwann cells with steroframe of PLA and PLGA fibres. Methods Schwann cells were mixed into 30% ECM gel and co-cultured with PLA non-spinning fibre steroframes and seeded on one ends of PLGA fibres which were treated with collagen,polylysine or ECM. The attachment,growth and migration of Schwann cells were observed under phase contrast microscope and laser scan confocus microscope. Results (1)When Schwann cells were co-cultured with PLA steroframes,most of the Schwann cells kept in the fibre holes and attached on PLA fibres to form B?ngner band likd structures. (2)When co-cultured with PLGA fibers,Schwann cells could attach and migrate on PLGA fibres and the number of Schwann cells were obviously increased when PLGA fibres were treated by ECM. Conclusions (1)ECM gel colud promote Schwann cells attachment,growth and migration on PLA steroframes and PLGA fibers. (2)ECM gel is a good integrating substance for constructing tissue engineering bioartificial nerve.
3.Clinical application of flexible cystoscopy

Objective To summarize the experiences on clinical application of flexible cystoscopy,and evaluate the significance of applying flexible cystoscopy in urologists' daily practice.Methods A total of 379 patients underwent examination with flexible cystoscopy,of them 74 patients were with the aim of therapy or related operation.The operation time was counted and the patients' discomfortableness was recorded according to a visual analog scale(VAS).What's more,a satisfaction questionnaire was made by no doctor presenting to check the patients' response to cystoscopy operation.36 male patients were undergone both rigid and flexible cystoscopy operation.The statistical significance of the differences was analyzed after reading the VAS scores and the results of questionnaires were evaluated.Results 223 patients were found to have relative diseases by the examination of flexible cystoscopy.The mean operation time in using flexible cystoscopy was 7.8?0.27 minutes.The median pain scores of male and female patients were 2.9 and 1.3,respectively.The maximum pain was felt by male patients when the cystoscopy went through the membran of urethra.Satisfactory rate in male patients was 99%,and it was 100% when evaluating the questionnaires answered by female patients.For the 36 male patients undergone both rigid and flexible cystoscopy operation,the median pain score was 2.1(0.5-4.5) for flexible cystoscopy,and was 5.7(1.0-10.0) for rigid cystoscopy.After flexible cystoscopy examination,all the 36 patients were satisfied by the operation.However,only 61.1%(22/36) patients were satisfied by the rigid cystoscopy operation.Statistical analysis showed significant difference(P
4. Advance in preoperative chemotherapy for locally advanced colon cancer

The patients with locally advanced colon cancer have high recurrence rate and poor prognosis after operation, so their quality of life needs to be improved. The present studies show that the early systemic treatment is able to eradicate tumor micrometastasis effectively and reduce the risks of tumor recurrence and metastasis. Preoperative chemotherapy as a kind of systemic treatment is effective for gastric cancer, breast cancer and esophageal cancer, but its curative effect on locally advanced colon cancer is not clear. To explore the feasibility and effectiveness of preoperative chemotherapy for the locally advanced colon cancer and to discuss the treatment strategy of locally advanced colon cancer, this review focuses on the theoretical basis and the clinical efficacy of preoperative chemotherapy for the patients with locally advanced colon cancer, and CT as a mean of screening the patients with preoperative chemotherapy standards and evaluating the curative effect of preoperative chemotherapy, as well as the future research directions of preoperative chemotherapy for colon cancer.
5.Analysis of monitoring data on congenital heart disease in Shenzhen city from 2009 to 2013

Objective To analyze monitoring data on congenital heart disease (CHD) in Shenzhen city from 2009 to 2013.Methods This study described epidemiological characteristics of perinatal CHD.Patients with CHD were divided into isolated CHD group and complex CHD group (the patients were found with malformations of other systems).The prognosis,social and demographic characteristics,and complications of pregnancy were analyzed.Results The average incidence rate of CHD was 7.25‰,of which 94.36% were diagnosed by ultrasound,of which 33.20% were diagnosed before delivery.The top three cardiovascular abnormalities were patent ductus arteriosus,patent foramen ovale,and ventricular septal defect.There were about 14.11% of CHD with other system malformations,mainly including musculoskeletal system,facial features,and nervous system.Compared isolated cardiac malformations and complex cardiacmalformations,significant differences were found in the age stratification,culture degree,prognosis,diagnosis time,incidence rate of complication of pregnancy,and childbirth complications rate (P <0.01).Conclusions Most CHDs were diagnosed by ultrasound.Simple cardiovascular malformation was common,especially CHD with two or more types of cardiovascular malformations.The incidence rate of CHD in 30 to 40-year-old women,stillbirth rate,incidence of prenatal diagnostic rate were significantly higher than the simple CHD group.
6.Effect of controlled release bFGF microspheres on osteoblasts

Objective To investigate the bioactivities of controlled release bFGF microspheres (Ms) and their effects on the cultured osteoblasts. Methods The secondary cultured osteoblasts were divided into four groups according to the different ingredients being added to the DMEM culture medium, ie, control group,bFGF group, bFGF-PLGA-Ms group and bFGF-PELA-Ms group. The proliferation of the cultured osteoblasts was measured with cell counting method, MTT method and flow cytometry. The content of bone BGP secreted by osteoblast was also measured with RIA method. Results The in vitro cellular study showed no significant difference in the cell number and cell viability of four groups one day after plate culture.The cell number and cell viability in the bFGF-PLGA -Ms group were more than those in other three groups four and six days after plate culture. The cell number and cell viabilitythose in the bFGF group were more than those in the bFGF-PELA-Ms group six and eight days after plate culture with insignificant difference. The flow cytometrical examination showed that the G 2/M+S percentage in the bFGF group reached the highest two days after plate culture and the G 2/M+S percentage in the bFGF-PLGA-Ms group went the highest four and eight days after plate culture. Among four groups, the content of BGP in the bFGF-PLGA-Ms group was the highest and the bFGF-PELA-Ms group the next. Conclusions The effect of bFGF-PELA-Ms is not satisfactory,as indicates that the manufacturing method needs improving. However,the bFGF-PLGA-Ms can promote the proliferation and differentiation of the osteoblasts through a long period of controlled release of bFGF.
7.Relation between premature delivery and cerebral palsy

ObjectiveTo study the relation between premature and cerebral palsy(CP).MethodsTo sample all the children between the age of 1 to 6 years old for investigating CP situation in Nanning city, Heng county and Qinbei region of Qinzhou city (once named Qinzhou county ) from May to December, 1998 by qualified pediatricians.ResultsThe total investigating cases were 150,806,in which diagnosed CP were 193 cases and the incidence of CP was 1.28‰. Among them, premature infants were 872 and diagnosed CP were 46,the incidence of CP was 52.75‰ in this group. While term laboring infants were 149,934 with CP 142 and the incidence of CP was 0.95‰. The difference between two groups was very significant(P<0.001).The shorter the gestational weeks were, the higher the incidence of the CP was. Among 46 premature infants with CP, there were 18 cases' mothers(26 person times) involved in abnormal pregnancy and delivery history, accounted for 39.1%, while 36 with pregnancy complications(78.3%). There were 23 cases (30 person times) suffered from the disease during neonate, accounted for 50%.ConclusionThe premature delivery is a risk factor associated with childhood CP.
8.Effect of extracellular matrix of xenogenic femoral fascia in repair of renal trauma

Objective To study the effect of extracellular matrix(ECM)of xenogenic femoral fascia which is a tissue-engineering material in repair of renal trauma.Methods Twenty-four experiment dogs were divided into 3 groups:group 1(n=10),the kidneys were repaired using ECM of xenogenic femoral fascia;group 2(n=10),the kidneys were repaired using self-omentum;group 3(n=4),xenogenic femoral fascia was used as repair materials.The animals were sacrificed separately at 1,2 weeks and 1,2,4 months after renal repair operations in group 1,2.In group 3,the animals were sacrificed separately at 2 weeks and 2 months after renal repair operations.The examinations of blood routine were performed before and after operations immediately,blood creatinine and serum renin were measured before operations and before death.The creatinine clearances of affected and contralateral normal kidneys were evaluated before death and the local areas of renal repair were studied by light and scan electron microscopy.Results In group 1,bleeding stopped rapidly and completely after the entire patch was sutured,only mild adhesions to surrounding tissues were found in various times after operations.As time passed,the repair patch was replaced by smooth neocapsule just like a normal one.In group 2,the bleeding volume in the operations was larger than the other 2 groups.It was diffieult tO separate the kidneys from the surrounding tissues.The wounds gradually contracted because of the scar forming.In group 3,there were severe immunological reactions in the patchs.Conclusion ECM of xenogenic femoral fascia is an ideal tissue-enginee rjng material for renal repair.
9.Operative treatment of hip dislocation combined with acetabular fractures

Objective To evaluate the cLinical outcome and influencing factors of open reduction and internal fixation in treatment of hip dislocation combined with acetabular fractures. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 51 patients with hip dislocation combined with twetabular frac-tures, who were treated with open reduction and internal fixation under general anesthesia in the emergen-cy department on admission. Of all, 41 patients were treated with open reduction and plate/screw internal fixation, for which the reduction result was evaluated by postoperative X-rays and follow up X-rays accord-ing to Matta's criteria and the functional outcome by Merle d' Aubigne's criteria. Results Of 41 pa-tients, 33 were followed up for 1-7 years (mean 3.1 years). X-ray evaluation showed anatomic reduction in 27 patients (82%), imperfect reduction in five (15%) and poor reduction in one (3%). The clini-cal outcome at the time of final follow-up was graded as excellent in 18 patients (55%), good in 8 (24%), mederate in 3 (9%) and peor in4 (12%), with total excellence rate of 79%. Conclusion Prompt reduction of hip dislocation, precise reduction of the acetabular fracture and decrease of periopera-tive comphcations are key to excellent clinical outcome.

Results: Bleeding was stopped completely after the entire patch was sutured, and only mild adhesions to around tissues were found in various times after operations. As time passed, the repair patch was replaced by smooth neocapsule like normal renal capsule. Conclusion: Extracellula matrix of xenogenic femoral fascia might be an ideal tissue-engineering material for renal repair.
