Objective:To establish the preliminary somatosensory data stratified by gender, age group, and sites in the trigeminal region through standardized quantitative sensory testing on healthy individuals, and to evaluate the effects of gender, age, and sites on somatosensory functions. Methods: The stan-dardised QST battery developed by the German Research Network on Neuropathic Pain consists totally of 13 different parameters. A total of 70 healthy individuals participated. The subjects were stratified into two groups according to age: younger group ( 16 female, 16 male, age 24 -40 years old ) and elder group (20 female, 18 male, age 41-69 years old) . The test was performed bilaterally over the infraor-bital, mental, and hand regions. Results:The preliminary orofacial somatosensory data stratified by gen-der, age group, and sites were presented. Female were more sensitive than male for most of the parame-ters ( P<0 . 05 ) . Age had a significant effect on most of the parameters ( P<0 . 05 ) , the younger group was more sensitive compared with the elder group (P<0. 01) for heat pain threshold (HPT): younger group (38. 07 ± 2. 94) ℃, elder group (39. 85 ± 3. 52) ℃;warmth detection threshold (WDT):youn-ger group (1.40 ±0.74) ℃, elder group (1.89 ±1.14) ℃; mechanical detection threshold (MDT):younger group (0. 73 ± 1. 66) mN, elder group (1. 41 ± 2. 82) mN; pressure pain threshold ( PPT):younger group ( 171. 71 ± 92. 51 ) kPa, elder group ( 196. 36 ± 73. 73 ) kPa; cold pain threshold (CPT):younger group (25. 90 ± 5. 38) ℃, elder group (21. 64 ± 6. 78) ℃; cold detection threshold (CDT):younger group ( -0. 97 ± 0. 55) ℃, elder group ( -1. 36 ± 0. 90) ℃, and wind-up ratio (WUR):younger group (3. 33 ± 2. 20), elder group (2. 67 ± 1. 68). The inverse results were demon-strated for mechanical pain threshold ( MPT ): younger group ( 111. 50 ± 88. 93 ) mN, elder group (104. 49 ± 94. 94) mN;mechanical pain sensitivity (MPS):younger group (6. 96 ± 5. 61), elder group (8.93 ±6.53), and vibration detection threshold (VDT): younger group (7.44 ±0.52) scale, elder group (7.55 ±0.48) scale (P<0.05). Somatosensory function was site dependent (P<0.001), the two trigeminal sites ( infraorbital and mental) were more sensitive than the hand for CDT, HPT, WDT, thermal sensory limen (TSL), MDT, MPT, MPS, and PPT (P <0. 001), but the inverse result was observed for VDT ( P <0 . 001 ) . Conclusion: The preliminary orofacial somatosensory data of Han Ethnicity stratified by gender, age group, and sites were established. The study evaluated the effects of gender , age and sites on orofacial somatosensory functions by employment standardized quantitative senso-ry testing.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of hemorrhoid elimination agent made by our hospital for the treatment of constipation, blood in stool, pain in defecation, anal burning sensation and abdominal distension after hemorrhoids surgery. Methods A number of 120 patients from January 2017 to June 2019 undergo hemorrhoid surgery in the department of anorectal surgery in our hospital were enrolled in the study. The patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group by the random digit table. The experimental group took hemorrhoid elimination agent orally, and the control group took paraffin oil orally. The two groups were compared in terms of the clinical efficacy, symptom and sign scores before and after treatment and adverse reactions. Results The total clinical effective rate of patients in the experimental group was 95%,and the total effective rate in the control group was 81.6% . Compared withpre-treatment, the fecal character score in the experimental group was significantly improved after treatment, and the incidence of hematochezia was significantly reduced after treatment (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in fecal character score and incidence of hematochezia before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05). After treatment, the score of symptoms and signs in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of hematocele in the experimental group was 5 %,while that in the control group was 21.67%,with significant difference between them(P<0.05). Conclusion With obvious effect and high safety, hemorrhoid elimination agent can effectively relieve constipation and hemostasis after hemorrhoidectomy, which is worthy of promotion in clinic.

Objective:
To explore prognostic factors of acute paraquat poisoning (APP) , analyze the correlation between base excess (BE) and plasma concentration of paraquat (C-PQ) and discuss BE level in evalua-tion of prognosis of acute paraquat poisoning patients.
Methods:
We retrospectively selected 84 APP patients who admitted to Emergency Intensive Care Unit (EICU) of our hospital from 2009.9.1 to 2015.8.31.Clinical data from 84 APP patients were analyzed. BE、C-PQ、time of gastric lavagesince ingestion、time of hemoperfusion since ingestion、severity index of paraquat poisoning (SIPP) 、white blood cell (WBC) 、percentage of neutrophils (N%) 、hemoglobin (HB) 、creatinine (Cr) 、alanine aminotransferase (ALT) 、aspartate aminotransferase (AST) 、partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) 、partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) and other laboratory parameters were measured. A total of 41 patients in non-survivors died during the 30 days after admission and 43 patients in survivors survived during the 30 days. The factors of prognosis in paraquat poisoining and the role of BE in evalu-ating prognosis was analyzed, as well as the correlation between BE and C-PQ.
Results:
1.Logistic regression analyses showed BE、C-PQ、ALT、AST、Cr was of prognostic significance[odds ratio (

Objective:To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a novel domestic extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) mainframe in a porcine model, and to provide the basis for further clinical application. Methods:Five domestic healthy male white pigs, weighing (51±4) kg, were selected. The ECMO system was established by using a novel ECMO mainframe with imported membrane oxygenator and pipeline, and continued to run for 72 hours. ECMO parameters are as follows: veno-arterial ECMO, centrifugal pump speed 3 000-3 500 r/min, continuous infusion of heparin anticoagulation to maintain the activate clotting time (ACT) of 140-200 s. Real-time monitoring of speed, flow, pressure before pump, pressure after pump, pressure after membrane and other equipment parameters, and the equipment performance was scored. The changes of hemodynamics, blood lactic acid and blood routine were monitored dynamically. Repeated measures analysis of variance was used to compare different time points within the group. At the end of the experiment, the thrombosis in the pump head and oxygenator was observed. The animals were sacrificed to obtain the tissue samples of the main organs for gross observation and pathological injury evaluation. Results:All animals successfully ran the ECMO system for 72 hours. (1) The centrifugal pump speed should be maintained at 3 029-3 483 r/min, the flow rate was maintained at 2.24-2.60 L/min, The pressure before the pump between minus 107.57 and minus 31.86 mmHg, the pressure after the pump was 197.50-282.43 mmHg, and the pressure after the membrane was 178.71-261.5 mmHg, all were in the normal range, and there was no significant difference between different time points (all P>0.05). The performance scores of the mainframe were all 4 points or above, indicating that the use requirements were met. (2) The heart rate of the animals was 50-80 beats /min, the mean arterial pressure was 85-115 mmHg, and the lactic acid was 0.996-2.25 mmol/L, all within the normal range, and there was no significant difference between different time points (all P>0.05). The free hemoglobin was 8.98-16.39 mg/L, and the hemoglobin was 6.58-7.52 g/L, both within a reasonable range, and there was no significant difference between different time points (all P>0.05). The platelet count was 69.6-231.6×10 9/L, and showed a continuous downward trend ( P<0.05). ACT was maintained at 135-169 s, which was within the target range, and there was no significant difference between different time points ( P<0.05). (3) At the end of the experiment, there was no obvious thrombosis in the pump head and oxygenator, no obvious thrombosis or infarction in the heart, brain, liver, lung and kidney, and no obvious hemorrhage or necrosis under the microscope. Conclusions:The ECMO established by the novel domestic ECMO mainframe combined with imported membrane oxygenator and pipeline ran smoothly for 72 hours, achieving the target of effect and safety.
