To investigate the correlation between activation of B lymphocytes and CD11a, CD54 expression in renal allograft recipients, the dynamic changes in CD19, CD11a and CD54 levels in lymphocytes at different time points were examined by using mAb-FACS-immunofluores-cence technique in 10 renal allograft recipients in stable course(stable group) and 10 with acute rejection(rejection group) after operation. AIM: To explore the immunotheraptical drugs for multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis (MDR-TB). METHODS: 79 patients with MDR-TB were randomly assigned to two groups. 46 cases in M.vaccae group were treated with "3AkPaThLevL/15PaThLevL" and M. vaccae, and 33 cases in control group were treated only with "3AkPaThLevL/15PaThLevL". The clinical effect and T-lymphocyte subsets in patients were observed after being treated for 1,2 and 3 months, respectively. Objective To review the relation between alpha fetoprotein(AFP) and gastric carcinoma as well as the advancement of literatures about the alpha fetoprotein-producing gastric carcinoma(AFPGC).Methods Domestic and foreign literatures on AFPGC were collected and reviewed.Results AFP is very useful to the diagnosis,pathological type and prognosis of the AFPGC as a specific tumor marker.Conclusion AFPGC is a special type of gastric cancer with high degree of malignancy and poor prognosis.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the hepatoprotective effect of compound glycyrrhizin in treating patients with multidrug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis(MDR-TB).METHODS:A total of 68 MDR-TB cases were enrolled:36(treatment group) were randomly assigned to receive additional glycyrrhizin,and 32(control group) to receive additional glucurolactone and legalon,the hepatoprotective effects and side effects between 2 groups were compared before and after treatment.RESULTS:The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 94.4% and 62.5%,respectively 1month after hepatoprotective treatment,and significant difference was noted between 2 groups(P0.05).CONCLUSION:Compound glycyrrhizin has a reliable hepatoprotective efficacy and few adverse drug reactions in treating MDR-TB patients complicating with lesion of liver function.

Objective To investigate the antibiotic resistance pattern and molecular epidemiology of carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa.Methods The antimicrobial susceptibility was measured by agar dilution method for the 104 strains of carbapenem-resistant P.aeruginosa (CRPA) collected from Huashan Hospital.The homology between these strains was evaluated by pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE).Results Of thel04 CRPA strains,85.6％ were resistant to meropenem and 98.1％ to imipenem.These strains also showed various percentages of resistance to amikacin (18.3％),gentamicin (40.4％),ceftazidime (26.9％),cefepime (21.2％),ciprofloxacin (44.2％),levofloxacin (50.0％),piperacillin-tazobactam (19.2％),cefoperazone-sulbactam (26.9％),ticarcillin-clavulanic acid (52.9％),aztreonam (26.9％),and colistin (5.8％).PFGE analysis showed that these strains were divided into 48 types,belonging to 9 clones.Only 3 strains were non-typeable.Clone A was the primary epidemic strain (41.6％,42/101),which was mainly isolated from Neurosurgery,Geriatrics and General Ward.Clone B accounted for 5.9％ (6/101) of the strains.Conclusions Multiple clones of carbapenem resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa were prevalent in Huashan hospital.Effective infection control approaches should be adopted to prevent the development and the further spreading of antimicrobial resistance.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of the infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) for better prevention and treatment of CRPA infections. Methods A retrospective study was conducted to compare the features of CRPA infections (n=85) and carbapenem-susceptible P. aeruginosa (CSPA) infections (n=94) treated in Huashan Hospital from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013. Results? The?proportion?of?CRPA?infections?was?significantly?higher?than CSPA in Neurosurgery (40.0% versus 16.0%) and Intensive Care Unit (22.4%, 9.6%). Traumatic brain injury (30.6%) and vascular accidents (21.2%) were the main underlying diseases in CRPA patients, which was higher than in CSPA patients (11.7%and?8.5%,?respectively).?CRPA?infection?was?associated?with?significantly?higher?incidence?of?fever,?altered?mental?status,?and?severe hypoproteinemia than CSPA infection. Multiple bacterial infection was found in more CRPA patients (45.9%, 39/85) than in CSPA patients (24.5%, 23/94). Fewer CRPA patients showed positive treatment response (44.7%, 38/85) than CSPA patients (78.7%, 74/94). CRPA was associated with significantly more cases of disease progression (55.3%, 47/85) and more deaths (16.5%, 14/85) than CSPA (21.3% and 1.1%, respectively). Logistic regression analysis indicated that stay in Department of Neurosurgery, prior carbapenem use, peripherally inserted central catheter, nasal feeding, and mechanical ventilation were the risk factors for CRPA infection. Conclusions No specific clinical manifestation is associated with CRPA infection, which poses a therapeutic challenge and results in unfavorable prognosis. Rational use of antibacterial agents and appropriate supporting treatments are essential for control of CRPA in Huashan Hospital.

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with tuina in treating patients with cervical vertigo. ＜br> Methods: According to the principle of randomization, 258 cases with cervical vertigo who met the inclusion criteria for the study were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 129 cases in each. The patients in the observation group received acupuncture combined with tuina therapy, while those in the control group were just treated by the same acupuncture therapy as in the observation group. After 10-day continuous treatments, the clinical efficacies of the two groups were analyzed and compared. ＜br> Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 100%, versus 86.0% of the control group, and the difference was significant (P＜0.05). After treatment, cervical range of motion (ROM) scores in both groups were statistically significantly different from those before treatment (allP＜0.05); in addition, there was a statistically significant difference in inter-group comparison of ROM score (P＜0.05). ＜br> Conclusion: Compared with simple acupuncture treatment, acupuncture combined with tuina therapy has a better effect in improving the ROM of cervical vertigo patients, with higher clinical efficacy.

BACKGROUND:Stromal cellderived factor 1 in chemotactic migration of endogenous neural stem cells plays a very important role, but the specific migration mechanism is unclear
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of exogenous stromal cellderived factor 1 on chemotactic migration and proliferation of neural stem cells in the rat hippocampus
METHODS:Exogenous stromal cellderived factor 1 (5μL, 500μ/L) was injected into the hippocampus of Sprague-Dawley rats to establish animal models. Brain tissues were taken after days 3, 7, 14 and 21 of perfusion to prepare paraffin sections. Thereafter, nestin expression in the injection region and hippocampus was detected using immunohistochemical method. Experimental control and blank control groups were set.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Paraffin section immunohistochemical results displayed the number of nestin-positive cells in the injection and the hippocampus was gradual y increased. At 3 and 7 days, nestin expression was a little and increased at 14 days, forming a migration tendency to the injection region. At 21 days, there were more nestin-positive cells in the injection area and hippocampus. However, there were no changes as above in the experimental control and blank control groups. The results showed that exogenous stromal cellderived factor 1 may induce the proliferation of neural stem cells in the hippocampus and may be involved in chemotactic migration of endogenous neural stem cells.

Advanced schistosomiasis is the most serious clinical type of schistosomiasis. Its diagnosis and treatment are relat?ed to many special departments,such as gastroenterology,general surgery,neurology,endocrinology,radiology,traditional Chinese medicine,blood purification,endoscopy,intervention,and ICU. It is necessary to apply a multidisciplinary treatment (MDT)mode. However,the mode has no universal standard and guide in practice. It is very important for the implementation of MDT mode of advanced schistosomiasis to form a treatment expert team,formulate the formal working procedures,and standard?ize the treatment schedules. The standardized implementation of MDT mode will be important to provide a more effective clinical decision on advanced schistosomiasis.

Objective To observe the change of serum leptin in different risk stratifications of coronary heart disease (CHD) and to investigate its relationship with the severity of coronary artery lesion and the coronary artery Gensini score and its value in the coronary heart disease risk stratification .Methods According to coronary angiography ,120 research subjects were enrolled and di-vided into 4 groups :the non-CHD group ,stable angina(SAP) group ,unstable angina pectoris(UAP) group and myocardial infarc-tion group(AMI) ,respectively .The serum leptin levels in 4 groups were determined by immunoassay and the correlation between the leptin level with the coronary heart disease risk factor and biochemical markers of risk assessment was analyzed .Results The serum leptin level in the AMI group was significantly higher than that in the non-CHD group and the SAP group ,the leptin level showed the increasing trend with the increase of the coronary lesion severity and the Gensini scores and was positively related with the CHD risk stratification indicators cTnT and smoking index ,and negatively related with blood uric acid .Conclusion The serum leptin may be used as the valuable marker for evaluating the occurrence of acute coronary event and has good correlation with usual biochemical markers of CHD risk stratification and the severity of coronary artery lesion .
