Objective To investigate the therapeutic methods for hypertrophy of nasal tip so as to create an aesthetic shape of nasal tip. Methods The “seagull-wing incision”was used in all patients. According to various nasal tip contours, trimming of soft tissues and reconstruction of alar cartilage were preformed simultaneously. Excessive soft tissue between skin and alar cartilage was removed; after exposing the domal segment of the alar cartilage, cartilage was resected from lateral crus to middle crus with a width of 0.2 cm marginal lateral crus was left. The shape of nasal tip was recontoured by middle crus suture technique. Others deformities of nose were corrected then: 10 patients with flat and low nasal tip were operated for nasal augmentation; 9 patients with thickening nasal wing were operated for thinning rim; 3 patients with wide bases of nasal wing were operated for shortening width through intraoral approach and one patient with broad nasal bone was operated with osteotome, infractured and displaced in the midline. An exteral splint was placed over the tape for 5-7 days postoperatively. Results Since 1995, follow-up for 3 to 24 months showed that 25 cases had achieved satisfactory cosmetic effects without secondary deformity except 3 early cases. Conclusion Trimming of soft tissues and reconstruction of alar cartilage are effective methods for correction of hypertrophy of nasal tip.

Objective To investigate the method and influencing factors of laser treatment in the removal of complicated tattoos. Methods 1280 patients with tattoos were treated by Versapulse four wavelength laser system.According to different colors,we selected different energy parameters and wavelength. Results All the 1280 patients got satisfied results after the therapy. The response was mainly related with the composition of their tattoos' color, as well as the proper choosing of laser wavelength and parameter. Conclusions According to feature of different tattoos, selecting reasonable wavelength and therapeutic parameters to treat the complicated tattoos can obtain better efficacy.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the antibiotic resistance status in clinical strains of Staphylococcus aureus (SAU) in Xiangfan and provide scientific evidence for reasonable use of antibiotics. METHODS Retrospective review was performed to analyzed the specimen source and the clinical distribution of 359 strains of SAU. BioMerieux Vitek 32 was used to identify the species of bacteria. Antibiotic susceptibility test was performed by K-B method and drug-resistance results were read according to CLSI2006. RESULTS Isolating rate of methicillin resistant S. aureus (MRSA) arrived at 54.9%. The results of susceptibility test showed that SAU had been resistant to the diverse antibiotics in different degree. The drug sensitivity rate of glycopeptide antibiotics and linezolid were all 100%. CONCLUSIONS The different grade hospitals should practically perform the management of antibiotics to postpone the resistance development and control outbreak and prevalence of nosocomial infections.

Objective To establish the preferable puberty pathological aggression animal model. Methods The experimental models were established towards puberty rats by frustration test of non-reward and instigation test.Rat models were tested for specificity using open-field test, saccharine test, elevated plus-maze(EPM)and olfactory sensibility. Results ①Compared with normal aggression(52.5±5.36)and control group(8.83±1.34)in total aggressive times, the pathological aggression group(101.17±2.85)increased significantly(P<0.01);②Some behavior items of each model group were moderately or hishly correlated to total score(r=0.379~0.929);③There was a significant difference between pathological aggression group and normal aggression group in the numbers of attack toward vulnerable-body regions, persistence attack after intruder displayed submissive and hish attack/threat ratios(P<0.01);④The pathological aggression group did not show depression, anxiety and olfactory disorder, except for space cognitive function(P>0.05).However,the normal aggression group displayed obvious depressive mood. Conclusion Each behavioral index matches the criteria of pathological aggression model.Meanwhile,it also excludes other factors of disturbing the specificity of the model. It suggests this model may be preferable puberty pathological aggression animal model.

ObjectiveTo identify the relationship between urodynamic parameters and vaginal deliveries in women with genuine stress urinary incontinence(GSI).Methods56 women with vaginal delivery history who were diagnosed as stress urinary incontinence underwent urodynamic tests.Their abdominal leak point pressures(ALPP),maximum urethral closure pressure(MUCP) and functional urethral length(FUL) were recorded, and their Correlation to vaginal deliveries was tested using linear correlation coefficient.ResultsCorrelation between vaginal deliveries and ALPP showed a significant relationship(r=-0.349,P<0.05).Neither MUCP nor FUL showed a close relationship with vaginal deliveries(r=-0.219 and r=-0.178 respectively,P>0.05).ConclusionVaginal delivery plays an important role in the pathogenesis of GSI.The more vaginal deliveries, the more serious GSI.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2009;34(1):63-66
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the effect of yizhi jiannao granule concentration fluid (YCF) on the expression of peptidyl-prolyl-cis-trans isomerase A (Pin1) and high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) mRNA in the hippocampus of senescence accelerated mice Senile-Prone8(SAMP8).
METHODS:
Six-month old SAMP8 mice were randomly divided into a YCF group and a model group. Six-month old SAMP8 mice were served as a normal control group. The YCF group was ravaged, while the model group and the normal control group were gavaged with double-distilled water for 8 weeks. The hippocampus was taken out for examination. The expression of Pin1 and HMGB1 mRNA was measured by RT-PCR.
RESULTS:
In the YCF group, the level of Pin1 mRNA increased, and the level of HMGB1 mRNA decreased compared with that of the model group.
CONCLUSION
Yizhi jiannao granules can prevent Alzheimer's disease by increasing the Pin1 level and decreasing the HMGB1 level.

Chinese Journal of Virology 2015;31(5):500-506
Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is a major agent of hand, foot and mouth disease that can cause a severe burden of disease to children. To identify an effective method for the control and prevention of EV71, we studied the effect of exposure to heat and ultraviolet (UV) light upon EV71 inactivation. We found that exposure to 50 degrees C could not inactivate the infectivity of EV71. However, exposure to 60 degrees C and 70 degrees C could inactivate EV71 effectively. EV71 could be inactivated after exposure to UV light at a distance between the sample and a lamp of 30 cm for 30 min or 60 min because viral genomic RNA was destroyed. However, fetal bovine serum (FBS) could attenuate the inactivation proffered by heat and UV light. Attenuation effects of FBS were correlated positively with FBS concentration. Hence, EV71 can be inactivated by exposure to heat and UV light, and our results could provide guidance on prevention of the spread of EV71.
