The experiment was conducted to examine the effect of copper toxicity on the peripheral blood T-lymphocyte using the flow cytometry(FCM) and ANAE.180 one-day-old Avian broilers were divided randomly into three groups, and fed diets as follows:(1)Controls(Cu 11.97 mg/kg diet) and (2)copper toxic(Cu 650 mg/kg diet, copper toxic group Ⅰ;Cu 850 mg/kg diet, copper toxic group Ⅱ) for six weeks. The ANAE positive ratios of the peripheral blood T-lymphocytes were much lower in the two copper toxic groups than in control group from 1 to 6 weeks of age(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Also,there was significant difference between copper toxic groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ at 1,3,5 and 6 weeks of age(P<0.05 or P<0.01).CD+4 T cell numbers reduced from 2 to 6 weeks of age in both copper toxic group Ⅰ and copper toxic group Ⅱ as compared with those of control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).At the same time, there was significant difference between copper toxic groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ at 6 weeks of age(P<0.05).But the numbers of CD+8 T cell were not varied from 2 to 6 weeks of age in copper toxic groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ in comparison with those of control group(P>0.05).The CD+4/CD+8 ratio was lower from 2 to 6 weeks of age in copper toxic groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ than in control group. The results showed that copper toxicity could suppress the development of T-lymphocytes and reduce the peripheral blood T-lymphocyte populations.Potential mechanisms underlying these observations are also discussed.

Objective To discuss the diagnosis and surgical treatment of multiple endocrine neoplasia 2 (MEN2). Methods The clinical data of 28 MEN2 cases from Jun 1997 to Jun 2006 were retrospectively analyzed. Results There were 25 cases of MEN2a and 3 cases of MEN2b. Among the patients of MEN2a, 23 patients were from 7 families with mutation of codon 634, exon 11 of RET, 3 patients of MEN2b had mutation of codon 918, exon 16 of RET and no family history. Twenty-two cases of MEN2a had thyroid masses with elevated calcitonin level, in which 17 were pathologically diagnosed as medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) ,12 patients had pheochromocytomas. Among them, 5 were of multiple foci and 2 were malignant. Five patients presented hyperparathyroidism and 3 patients were asymptomatic without biochemical alterations. Three MEN2b patients had MTC and mucosal ganglioneuromatosis with Marfanoid, one patient had bilateral pheochromocytoma. Total thyroidectomy with bilateral dissection of regional lymph nodes was performed in 12 patients of MEN2a, and nodule enucleations was done in other 5 patients followed by persistent elevated calcitonin level. Nine MEN2a patients underwent pheochromocytoma enucleation including bilateral adrenal resection in 3 cases. Three MEN2b patients underwent total thyroidectomy with bilateral lymph node dissection. Conclusions MTC is the most often complications of MEN2. Germline mutation test helps to make early diagnosis. Radical total thyroidectomy in young patients may prevent MTC.

So far there exists no corresponding quality test procedures and grading standards for the seed of Prunus humilis, which is one of the important source of base of semen pruni. Therefor we set up test procedures that are adapt to characteristics of the P. humilis seed through the study of the test of sampling, seed purity, thousand-grain weight, seed moisture, seed viability and germination percentage. 50 cases of seed specimens of P. humilis tested. The related data were analyzed by cluster analysis. Through this research, the seed quality test procedure was developed, and the seed quality grading standard was formulated. The seed quality of each grade should meet the following requirements: for first grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 68%, thousand-grain weight 383 g, purity ≥ 93%, seed moisture ≤ 5%; for second grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 26%, thousand-grain weight ≥ 266 g, purity ≥ 73%, seed moisture ≤9%; for third grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 10%, purity ≥ 50%, thousand-grain weight ≥ 08 g, seed moisture ≤ 13%.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(4):569-576
Syndrome and formulae (or prescription) are two key issues in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and the premise research for material basis of TCM. However, vagueness of syndromes and complexity of formulae greatly limited the evaluation to syndromes and effective substance basis of prescription. Therefore, how to solve the evaluation of syndromes, confirming the efficacy material basis in prescription are the current hot issues of international concern. To solve these problems, establishing chinmedomics by integrated serum pharmacochemistry of TCM with metabolomics technology, that is a unique method of TCM research, made outstanding contributions in solving international concerns such as the effectiveness and security aspects of TCM. On the basis of the biological characterization of syndrome, the metabolic profiling of animal models of TCM syndrome, and related metabolic fingerprints as well as metabolic biomarkers were established to evaluate the overall effects of TCM formulae and corresponding relationship of syndrome-formulae. The active constituents were screened using the plotting of correlation between (endogenous) marker metabolites and (exogenous) serum constituents (PCMS), and is ongoing verification by further biological experiments. Correlation analysis between the ingredients in the body after oral formulae and endogenous markers in vivo can be used to clarify the active ingredients and synergistic properties. This method was successfully applied for rapid discovery of potentially bioactive components and metabolites from TCM, and through a series of studies on the chinmedomics, it proved that the established method could help to explore the effective substance for further research of TCM. As a new research approach, Chinmedomics is the best method to fit the holistic concept of TCM, and it can not only interpret the essence of syndrome but also elucidate the scientific connotation of Chinese medical formulae.
