Objective To study the chemical constituents of Epimedium sutchuenense. Methods The compounds were repeatedly separated and purified on column chromatography of silica gel, polyamide,Sephadex LH-20,and ODS.The structures were identified on the basis of spectral methods. Results Ten compounds were isolated from 70% ethanol extract of E.sutchuenense and were identified as sutchuenoside A(Ⅰ),sutchuenoside B(Ⅱ),daidzein(Ⅲ),baohuoside-Ⅰ(Ⅳ),kaempferide 3-rhamnoside(Ⅴ),icariin(Ⅵ),anhydroicaritin-3-O-?-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-?-L-rhamnopyranoside(Ⅶ),p-hydroxybenzoic acid(Ⅷ),daucosterol(Ⅸ),and ?-sitosterol(Ⅹ),respectively.Conclusion Compounds Ⅰ and Ⅱ are novel ones named as sutchuentins A and B respectively.Compounds Ⅲ,Ⅴ,Ⅶ,and Ⅷ-Ⅹ are isolated from this plant for the first time.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(16):-
Asthma is one kind of chronic respiratory tract inflammatory disease.Recently,it has been discovered that the small airway also participates in asthmatic pathogenesis. The small airway which diameter is less than 2 mm is one of the smallest regions in the lung. Its function may be affected by the small airway disease and related with the airway hyperresponsiveness. Some structural changes in the small airway is the latent reason which aggravates asthma. The change of small airway function in the mild asthma can cause the change of airway hyperresponsiveness. So it is considered that the small airway function is one of the methods to monitor the asthmatic situation.

Objective To study the mechanisms of depression by exploring expressional differences of AQPs in the tissues of chronic stress depression rats. Methods Depression model was replicated by unpredicted chronic stress.20 rats were randomly separated into normal control group and model control group,AQP4 and AQP3,AQP8 expressions on hippocampus and gastrointestinal mucosa of rat model with depression were detected by immunochemical staining method. Results Means of optical density of AQP4 of normal group and model group hippocampus were 0.28 ± 0.02,0.22 ± 0.06 respectively, and the difference between two groups was significant statistically(t value was 2.756,P<0.05).The expression of AQP3 on gastric mucosa and colonic mucosa between two groups had no significant statistically(t value were 1.814,1.812,P>0.05).Two groups'means of optical density of AQP3 on small intestinal mucosa were 0.15 ± 0.02,0.17 ± 0.02,and the difference was significant statistically (t value was 2.769,P<0.05).Two groups'means of AQP8 optical density in gastric mucosa were 0.15± 0.01,0.19 ± 0.04 ;0.16 ± 0.01 and 0.21 ± 0.04 in small intestinal mucosa;0.16 ± 0.01 and 0.22 ± 0.04 in colonic mucosa, and the differences were significant statistically(t values were 3.139,5.113,4.534,P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.01).Conclusion The expression of AQP4 on depression model rat hippocampus are lower than those of the normal group ; and the expression of AQP3 on gastric mucosa and colonic mucosa are no change obviously, but it(')s up-regulation on small intestinal mucosa. The expressions of AQP8 on gastric mucosa and small intestinal mucosa and colonic mucosa are up-regulating.

OBJECTIVETo select a safe, quick and effective method for terminating ectopic pregnancy (EP) with few adverse effects.
METHODSPatients were divided into 2 groups. The observed group was treated with methotrexate (MTX, 50 mg/m2 for single dose intramuscular injection) plus RU 486 (600 mg taken orally in the morning with empty stomach, followed with fasting for 2 hrs) and Waiyun Zhuyu decoction (WZD, one dose a day for 7-10 days). The control group was only treated with MTX, with the same regimen as used in the observed group.
RESULTSThe curative rate, time for blood beta-HCG recovering, lump absorption time, and tube recanalization rate in the observed group were better than those in the control group (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION; The key links for successfully treating EP with conservative drug therpy are to diagnose the disease early and clearly, and to select indicative subject strictly. The scheme of single dose administration of MTX plus RU486 combined with WZD, with its high efficacy and few adverse reaction, may be used as the first choice for referential clinical drugs administration.

Objective To develop an intelligent system which is able to offer an optimized emergency treatment recommendation for fast triage automatically. Methods An algorithm and intelligent platform for grading injury were developed based on physiological signal collecting technology, intelligent grading algorithm and integration technology.A comparison between this system and traditional methods was made. Results This intelligent system was able to increase accuracy by 21%and took only 48%of the time taken by traditional methods. There was significant difference between the two groups(P=0.038<0.05).Conclusion The accuracy of the triage is improved by this intelligent system that is less time-consuming.With this device, the injury statement can be identified quickly and the targeted medical treatment can be performed accurately. The efficiency of emergency treatment in case of disaster will thus be dramatically increased.

Objective To study the film ̄forming property of film ̄forming materials in dragon blood ethanol solution, and provide the reference for screening of film ̄forming materials for dragon blood plastics. Methods PVA124,PVA1788, PVP ̄K30, EC, MC, PVB were chosen to study the film ̄forming property of film ̄forming materials based on solubility, formation time, and adhesion. Results PVA1788 and PVP ̄K30 mixed in dragon blood ethanol solution in proportion of 4:1 showed good film ̄forming property, and the membrane was smooth, uniform and easy to tear off. However, PVA124 and PVP ̄K30 mixed in proportion of 4:1 precipitated in dragon blood ethanol solution.EC, MC and PVB were not easy to tear off the membrane. Conclusion PVA1788 and PVP ̄K30 mixed in proportion of 4:1 and added with propylene glycol is the optimal choice of film ̄forming material for dragon blood spray film.

ObjectiveTo investigate prognostic factors in Stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)treated with definitive radiation therapy (RT) with PET-CT-based radiotherapy planning. MethodsFifty nine patients with Stage Ⅲ NSCLC treated with radiation therapy of 60 Gy or more were enrolled into this study. The impact of prognostic factors on survival was evaluated by univariate and multivariate analyses. Results The following-up rate was 98%.Nineteen patients completed 2 years' followed-up. The overall l-year and 2-year survival rate was 66% and 37%, respectively, with a median survival time of 17 months. At a univariate analysis, cigarette smoking status, T stage, radiation dose, the standardized uptake value, the gross tumor volume and clinical stage were significant prognostic factors ( x2 =7.46,7. 52,8.37,4. 97,5.82,4. 37, P =0. 006,0. 006,0. 004,0. 026,0. 016,0. 037, respectively ).At multivariate analyses, cigarette smoking status, radiation dose, gross tumor volume and clinical stage were significant prognostic factors ( x2 =6. 20, 9. 69, 6. 39, 10. 09, P =0. 013,0. 002, 0. 011,0. 001,respectively). Conclusions Cigarette smoking status, radiation dose, gross tumor volume and clinical stage are significant prognostic factors on survival in patients with Stage Ⅲ NSCLC treated with RT based on PET-CT radiotherapy planning.
