A summary and analysis of acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, injection of acupoint, and research progress from ancient and modern related literatures on the treatment of hyper-lipemia by acupuncturingFenglong acupointwas made. It was cognized and affirmed thatFenglong acupoint has the unique superiority of definite curative effect and little poisonous side effect in treating hyperlipemia.

Abstract: Chigger mites belong to the phylum Arthropoda, class Arachnida, sub-class Acari, order Parasitiformes, family Trombiculidae and Leeuwenhoekiidae, with a wide range of species. There are more than 3 700 known species of mites globally, of which 531 species in 46 genera from three sub-families have been recorded in China, and 320 species of chigger mites recorded from 3 subfamilies and 32 genera in Yunnan Province. At this stage, chigger mites are the only vectors of scrub typhus, with about 60 species worldwide being potential vectors. Six vectorial mite species have been confirmed in China, including Leptotrombidium deliense, L.scutellare, L.rubellum, L.sialkotense, L.kaohuense, L.insulare. Yunnan Province has reported five vectorial mite species, including the previously-mentioned five species except for L.sialkotense. The zoogeographic study divided Yunnan Province into 5 zoogeographic areas, namely, Central Hengduan Mountains subregion, Southern Hengduan Mountains subregion, Eastern Yunnan Plateau subregion, Western Yunnan Plateau subregion, Southern Yunnan Mountainous subregion. The Southern Hengduan Mountains subregion has the highest number of known genera and species of scrub typhus and the highest number of scrub typhus cases, with 216 species in 22 genera from 3 subfamilies, and all 5 species of vector scrub typhus were distributed. Southern Yunnan Mountain subregion has the least number of mite species, with 91 species in 12 genera from three sub-families, with L. scutellare being the dominant vectorial mite species across the province. Due to suitable natural geographic conditions in Yunnan Province, vectorial mites can propagate rapidly, leading to a large number of scrub typhus cases. According to statistics, the number of scrub typhus cases in Yunnan Province has rapidly increased, with 15.40 times, 20.64 times and 28.91 times more cases in 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively than in 2006. Scrub typhus remains a serious public health problem in Yunnan Province, posing a threat to the health of the local population. Therefore, prevention and control efforts should continue to focus on the affected areas and the general public.

Objective　To examine the left ventricular diastolic function of patients with coronary artery diseases by noninvasive echocardiography and invasive coronary angiography.Methods　Mitral and pulmonary venous Doppler signals were recorded by the continuous wave Doppler technique in 62 patients, both coronary angiography and left ventricle pressure were measured. Patients were divided into normal and abnormal groups based on coronary angiography.Results　Left ventricular end diastolic pressure (LVEDP) (17.6 mm Hg vs 13.2 mm Hg,P<0.05),the left ventricular negative Δp/Δt before atria contraction ［-(224.63±52.18),-(87.81±24.41),P<0.05］,and the elevated value of left ventricular pressure derived from atria contraction ［(6.66±0.92)mm Hg vs (0.96±1.87)mm Hg,P=0.0094］ in abnormal group were more than those in the normal. The ratio of slope in pulmonary vein and mitral A wave peak was less in normal group than that in the abnormal (5.10±0.31 vs 4.12±0.20,P＝0.0106). But the isovolume relaxation parameters had no differences between the two groups.Conclusions　Coronary arter ischemia is an important cause of left ventricular impaired relaxation aggravation and stiffness, the diastolic abnormalities existed in the whole diastolic duration. Except ischemia, other factors also could cause relaxation disfuction and even elevate the LVEDP.

OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of oxymatrine on joint inflammation and T cell subsets in CIA rats. METHODS Rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: normal control group, collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) model group, high-dose OMT (80 mg · kg-1 · d-1) group, middle-dose OMT (40 mg · kg-1 · d-1) group, low-dose OMT(20 mg · kg-1 · d-1) group and total gluco-side tripterygium (40 mg · kg-1 · d-1) group. To establish CIA model, all rats were injected with mixture of sheep type II collagen protein and Freunds complete adjuvant (FCA) intradermally at the right hindfoot, and injected again 1 week later at multipoints of the end of tail to boost the immunization. The intragastric administration procedure was performed from the first day after boosting immunization once a day for 4 weeks. Arthritis index (AI) was recorded every week. The blood sample was taken after the last administration to analyze T cell subsets by Flow Cytometry; serum TNF-α and IL-1β contents were measured by ELISA. Synovium of joint were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde, and the hepatic pathological changes were observed. RESULTS: OMT could improve arthritis index (P < 0.05), decrease CD4+ T level (P < 0.05), increase CD8+ T level (P < 0.05), and also reduce CD4+/CD8+ ratio (P < 0.05). The levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, TNF-α and IL-1β, were markedly decreased (P <0.01), too. Morphological observation indicated that OMT had significant inhibitory effect on synovial cells proliferation. CONCLUSION: OMT may play a therapeutic action on rheumatoid arthritis through adjusting the levels of T cells and cytokine. Copyright 2012 by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association.

Purpose To analyze the echocardiographic features of peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) using Logistic regression, and to screen the indexes which can be used for the prognosis of PPCM. Materials and Methods Fifty patients who were diagnosed as PPCM by echocardiography were divided into recovered group (30 cases) and non-recovered group (20 cases), all the patients underwent echocardiography, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDd) was measured in the parasternal long axis view, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was measured using Simpson biplane method in the apical four-chamber and two-chamber view to look for the evidence of left ventricular thrombosis, if complicated with pulmonary hypertension, continuous wave Doppler was used for measuring the peak velocity of tricuspid valve regurgitation, and estimating of pulmonary artery systolic pressure, Logistic regression model was established and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was generated to evaluate the prediction value of Logistic regression model. Results Compared with non-recovered group, there was statistically significant difference of LVEDd, LVEF, left ventricular thrombosis, pulmonary hypertension and re-checked LVEF (t= -4.33, 7.64 and 11.54, P<0.05; χ2=10.93 and 4.43, P<0.05) in the first examination, while there was no statistical difference in pericardial effusion, mitral valve regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation between the two groups (χ2=2.21, 0.67 and 3.46, P>0.05). Three sonographic features LVEDd, LVEF and left ventricular mural thrombus) could be used for the establishment of Logistic model (χ2=5.14, 11.59 and 14.58, P<0.05). The prediction accuracy of the model was 90.0% (45/50, P<0.001) and the area under ROC curve was 0.945±0.030 (P<0.001). Conclusion Logistic regression analysis can be applied for the screening of ultrasound index for PPCM, LVEDD, LVEF and left ventricular wall thrombus can predict the prognosis of PPCM accurately.

Objective To study the method of obtaining a large number of dendritic cells (DC). To study the specific cytotoxicity T lymphocyte (CTL) effect against tumor cells initiated by DC pulsed with peptide of cancer cell. Methods Development of cells with cytologic features of DC in bone marrow cultures supplemented with granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulus factor (GM-CSF) and IL-4. Determining the DC phenotype and the specific structure by electronic microscopy. The CTL effect against pancreatic carcinoma leading by the DC pulsed with tumor cells lysate in vitro was observed. Results A large number of typical DC was proliferated by supplementing with GM-CSF and IL-4 cytokines. DC had specific cell appearance and structure, and highly expressed various cell surface molecules. Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging in the evaluation of left ventricular rotation and torsion in pre-apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(PAHCM)patients. Methods A total of 26 patients with PAHCM,26 patients with hyperten-sive left ventricular hypertrophy(HLVH)and 26 healthy volunteers were recruited for the study. Two-dimensional echocardiographs were performed carefully. Two-dimensional images were obtained from the left ventricular apical four-chamber section,two-chamber section and two short-axis sec-tions,including mitral valve and apical levels. The peak subendocardial rotation(endo-rot),epicardial rotation(epi-rot),transmural torsion(mural-tor)and bulk rotation(bulk-rot)of each short-axis section were measured and analyzed using QLAB 9.1 software. Results In the mitral level, there was no statistically significant difference in endo-rot,epi-rot,mural-tor and bulk-rot between the PAHCM group and normal control group (P>0.05). There was statistically significant difference in endo-rot,epi-rot,mural-tor and bulk-rot between the PAHCM group and HLVH group (all P<0.05). There was statistically significant difference in endo-rot,epi-rot,mural-tor and bulk-rot between the HLVH group and normal control group(all P<0.05). In the apical level,there was no statistically significant difference in epi-rot among three groups(P>0.05). There was statisti-cally significant difference in endo-rot,mural-tor and bulk-rot between each two groups(P<0.05). There was statistically significant difference in G-tor between each two groups(P<0.05). The receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed that the accuracy of differential diagnosis of G-tor PAHCM was high(the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve is 0.89),the sensitivity was 73.08%,and the specificity was 92.31%. Conclusion Two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging could accurately and quantitatively measure the left ventricular rotation and tor-sion in PAHCM patients. The G-tor could accurately screen and identify between PAHCM and HLVH.

Hyalinizing trabecular tumor (HTT) is a primary thyroid tumor discovered 20 years ago. This tumor is usually misdi-agnosed as papillary thyroid carcinoma because of their many similar nuclear features. Although controversy has focused on the malig-nant potential of HTT, results show that this tumor has a favorable clinical prognosis. Improving the preoperative diagnosis of HTT can reduce the scope of operation because misdiagnosis before or during surgery may lead to unnecessary total thyroidectomy. This study re-viewed the pathology, diagnosis, therapy, and prognosis of HTT.

Schisandra chinensis fructus is the dried ripe fruit of S. chinensis from magnoliaceae, produced mainly in the three provinces in the northeast of China. This research systematically summarized the active constituent and pharmacological activity of S. chinensis fructus in recent years, and predicted the Q-marker of S. chinensis fructus in terms of component specificity, constituent validity, component measurability and component absorbed into blood based on the concept of the Q-marker of traditional Chinese medicine. The result suggested the component of lignans in diphenyl cyclooctene as the Q-marker of S. chinensis fructus to conduct the qualitative and quantitative analysis, which provides the scientific basis for establishing and improving the quality evaluation standard of S. chinensis fructus.
