OBJECTIVE: To establish a near infrared spectroscopy method for the determination of the concentration of tiopronin for injection. METHODS: By using optical fiber probes and 1 mm sampling accessories, the near infrared transmission reflectance spectra of tiopronin for injection from seven pharmaceutical factories were obtained. The partial least square method was applied to establish the model with HPLC as the reference method. RESULTS: The model had a good prediction performance. The value of the correlation coefficient (r2) was 99.0%, the mean difference of prediction for test sets was 1.30%, and the root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) was 0.982%. CONCLUSION: NIR is a rapid, reliable and powerful method for the quantitation of tiopronin for injection, and can be applied to rapid drug determination on the spot and stability study. Objective To explore the effect of Qingretonglin pill combined with levofloxacin tablet on urinary tract infection after spinal cord injury. Methods 55 spinal cord injury patients with urinary tract infection were divided into control group (n=27) and observation group (n=28). Levofloxacin tablets were orally administered in both groups, 500 mg everyday, 14 days. The Qingretonglin pill was also orally administered in the observation group, 1.6 g, 3 times every day, 14 days. The improvement time of frequent micturition, urgent urination and odynuria, and urinary leukocyte number, urinary bacterial quantitative culture changes and the side effect before and after treatment were observed. Results The effective rate was higher in the observation group (89.3%) than in the control group (63%) (P<0.05). The improvement time of frequent micturition, urgent urination and odynuria was shorter in the observation group than in the control group (P< 0.05). The number of urinary leukocyte and urinary bacterial significantly decreased after treatment (P<0.001), and was less in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). The rate of side effect was low in both groups, and there was no significant difference (P> 0.05). Conclusion Qingretonglin pill can release the clinical symptoms of urinary tract infection after spinal cord injury, and improve the clearance rate of bacteria.

Objective To investigate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen(HBO)on p38 MAPK signal pathway in neuropathic pain,and explore its mechanism. Methods The experiment was divided into two parts with thirty SD rats in each part. Each part was then randomly divided into 3 groups:sham operation group(S group),chronic constriction group(CCI group)and hyperbaric oxygen group(HBO group),with 10 rats in each group. Part one:Pain?related behavior were detected on 3 day,7 day,14 day,28 day after operation. Phosphorylative p38 was detected by Western blot method and the P2X4 receptor was detected by immunohistochemistry method on the 28th day. Part two:All the rats were treated with SB203580. Pain?related behavior were detected on 3 day,7 day,14 day,28 day after operation. P2X4 receptor was detected by immunohistochem?istry method on the 28th day. Results CCI and HBO groups were significantly lower than S group in pain?related behaviors(P<0.05). CCI group was significantly lower than that in HBO group(P<0.05). The content of phosphorylative p38 and P2X4 receptor in CCI and HBO group were increased(P<0.05),and the expression of phosphorylative p38 and P2X4 in CCI group was significantly increased than that in HBO group (P<0.05). When p38 MAPK was inhibited,pain?related behavior in HBO and CCI group increased significantly than the pain?related behavior of HBO and CCI group in Part 1(P<0.05). But the difference between group CCI and HBO was not significant(P>0.05). Though the expression of P2X4 receptor in CCI group and HBO group was significantly higher than that in S group(P<0.05),the difference between group CCI and HBO was not significant(P>0.05). Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can affect the expression of p38 MAPK through P2X4 receptor in rats of neuropathic pain.

[Summary] Limb numbness is a common symptom of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN),which is similar to lumbar vertebra disease and spinal cord tumor compression syndrome. Diabetes mellitus (DM) combined with lumbar spondylosis and spinal cord tumor compression is rarely occurred and is difficult to distinguish from DPN . Here we reported a case of DM combined with spinal neurilemoma that was misdiagnosed as DPN for half a year.

The average and maximal heart rates of subjects in bench stepping during exercise were higher than those in home stepping (P 0.05), however, the correlation between the direct calculation and home stepping was high (r=0.46, P 0.05).③The correlation between two step experiments for male students was high (r=0.73, P 0.05), however, the difference for female students was significant (P 0.05). CONCLUSION: Two indirect test protocols need further improvements, but home step is more appropriate for a large sample of constitution assessment by comparison of measurement efficiency and precision.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of kynurenine (KYN) and uric acid (UA) levels in chronic myeloid leukemia patients (CML).Methods 30 CML patients (CML group) and 25 healthy controls (Control group) were enrolled in the hospital from Mar 2014 to Dec 2015.Serum KYN and tryptophan (TRP) of all subjects were determined by high performance liquid chromatography,and KYN/TRP ratio (KTI) were calculated.Leukocytes were counted by automat ic blood cell analyzer.Serum UA were detected by enzyme method.Correlation between UA and KTI,leukocytes were analyzed by Pearson correlation.Results The serum KTI of the CML group (49.76±19.06) before treatment was significantly higher than that of the control group (27.87-±-5.06,t=4.470,P=0.001).KTI cutoff value was 40 by ROC analysis.There had correlation between KTI and leukocytes (r=0.743,P=0.001) and no correlation between KTI and ages (r=0.205,P =0.276).KTI (64.7±17.8) and the leukocytes [(96.7±64.1) × 109/L] of 10 cases of KTI≥40 of CML patients before treatment was significantly higher than that of KTI (27.0± 10.9,t=7.102,P =0.001) and the leukocytes[(10.1 ± 5.2) × 109/L,t=4.285,P=0.002] after treatment.The serum UA in KTI＜40 CML patients (n=15,354.98±103.9 μmol/L) was significantly lower than that of KTI≥40 CML group CML (n=15,484.98±132.1 μmol/L,t=1.432,P=0.045).The UA in CML group was associated with KTI (r=0.573,P=0.001) and leukocytes (r=0.537,P=0.002).Conclusion The increase of KTI in CML patients suggested that an increased activity of indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO).IDO activity may associated with CML morbidity and therapy effect.The detection of KTI may contribute to the diagnosis of CML and assessing therapy effect of CML.

Distribution channel of Chinese herbal medicines has been changing. From Han to Ming Dynasty, Chinese herbal medicine were mainly trafficked to urban by dealers or farmers; From the Ming Dynasty to the foundation of new China, distribution channels are primarily intermediated with township "bazaar" and national distribution center with fixed place and regularly trading hours. In the planned economy period, the state-owned herbal medicine company was the sole medium with monopoly nature. From the mid1980s to the end of last century, planned economy and market economy have been co-existing. Stepping into 21st century, producing area highlighted in the distribution channels. Presence or absence and rise or fall of different types of distribution market went throughout the changing process of distribution channels, which became an important clue. Changes were motivated by economical consideration of channel subject, which originated from commodity characteristic and social environment changes.
