Objective To establish a novel Monte Carlo simulation method for reconstruction of medical accelerator model and X?ray energy spectrum based on IAEA Varian 6 MV X?ray phase?space file and photon energy spectrum of the target accelerator. Methods The verified 6 MV X?ray phase?space files were preprocessed to elevate the energy of each particle. Particles were saved in different Phase?Space?Let ( PSL) files according to their position and energy, yielding an initial photon energy spectrum for Monte Carlo simulation of accelerator under an initial target energy. The initial photon energy spectrum was fit to a photon energy spectrum of an accelerator ( Elekta Precise 10 MV X?ray accelerator) under an unknown target energy to yield a fitting coefficient, which was the weight of each PSL. Finally, an accelerator model under an unknown target energy was reconstructed using the initial PSL files and the weight information. The percentage depth dose ( PDD) distribution was calculated in different square open fields. The effectiveness of this method was verified using one dimensional gamma passing rate. Results The peak position and overall distribution of the reconstructed 10 MV photon energy spectrum were in accordance with those of the verified 10 MV photon energy spectrum. The PDD calculated from the reconstructed 10 MV accelerator model agreed well with the measured PDD. The one?dimensional gamma passing rate was above 96%( 1%/1 mm, threshold=0%) . Conclusion The Monte Carlo reconstruction method proposed in this study is reliable, accurate, and effective.

OBJECTIVE To explore the resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated in clinic against five antiseptics involving in povidone iodine(Iodophor),glutaraldehyde, chlorhexidine, symclosene(trichloroisocyanurate) and benzalkonium bromide.METHODS The susceptibility test of P.aeruginosa was determined by PhoenixTM-100 system.Minimun inhibitory concentration(MIC) of povidone iodine, glutaraldehyde, chlorhexidine, symclosene and benzalkonium bromide was detected by liquid dilution method.RESULTS The resistant rates of ampicillin/sulbactam,chloramphenicol,tetracycline and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole in 190 isolates of P.aeruginosa were all more than 98.0%.However,P.aeruginosa was to imipenem and meropenem were 15.3% and 6.8%.It was found that P.aeruginosa possessed the most resistant to glutaraldehyde and symclosene with its MIC50 being 32 ?g/ml and 64 ?g/ml.But the MIC50 of chlorhexidine and benzalkonium bromide were only 1 ?g/ml and 2.4 ?g/ml.Meanwhile,time-kill assays indicated that chlorhexidine could still produce rapid and powerful bactericidal effects at a concentration of 1MIC after 10 min treatment.CONCLUSIONS There are distinct differences in P.aeruginosa against povidone iodine, glutaraldehyde, chlorhexidine, symclosene and benzalkonium bromide. It is very important that antiseptics should be used rationally.Measurements should be taken to decrease dissemination of resistant bacteria and prevent nosocomial infection.

Functional analysis concisely summarizes and concentrates on the therapeutic characteristics and features of Chinese herbal medicine. Standardization of the terms for Chinese herbal functions not only plays a key role in modern research and development of Chinese herbal medicine, but also has far-reaching clinical applications. In this paper, a new method for standardizing the terms for Chinese herbal function was proposed. Firstly, functional targets were collected. Secondly, the pathological conditions and the mode of action of every functional target were determined by analyzing the references. Thirdly, the relationships between the pathological condition and the mode of action were determined based on Chinese medicine theory and data. This three-step approach allows for standardization of the terms for Chinese herbal functions. Promoting the standardization of Chinese medicine terms will benefit the overall clinical application of Chinese herbal medicine.

This study was aimed to establish Chinese medicine efficacy concept network in order to reveal the in-ner relation between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and efficacy as well as to suggest the application way of efficacy concept network. Through the collation of medicine efficacy recorded in the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (2010 Edition, Volume I), the correlation relationship between TCM efficacy concept was systematically analyzed, and the efficacy concept network was constructed in order to extract specific effica-cy sub-network based on efficacy concept network and then to discover the efficacy groups by utilizing the net-work clustering algorithm. In the Chinese medicine efficacy concept network, 422 efficacy concepts were con-structed and 21 tightly efficacy groups were discovered. Using the efficacy of promoting blood circulation as an example, the application of sub-networks was discussed. Chinese medicine efficacy concept network can be used to reflect the basic theory and clinical experiences in Chinese medicine , to systematically reveal the relationship between TCM efficacy concepts, which can be beneficial to guide the reasonable application of Chinese medicine in disease treatment .

mTOR pathway plays a critical role in cell proliferation, growth and metabolism. This pathway is composed of two different large protein complexes, mTORC1 and mTORC2, which have their distinct downstream effects. Its inhibitor, rapamycin, has been proved to cause β-cell damage and glucose intolerance. Furthermore, various transgenic mouse models and ex vivo studies have revealed that mTORC1 and mTORC2 are both essential for maintaining normal β cell mass and function, whereas the underlying molecular mechanism and the relevance of the whole mTOR signaling to pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes remain to be explored and further clarified.

Medicinal properties are specific attributes of traditional Chinese medicines(TCM). The medicinal property theory is an important principle for the compatibility of traditional Chinese medicines. In this paper, medicinal properties, flavors and meridian tropism were combined to represent TCM medicinal properties; and multiple medicinal properties were further combined into medicinal property combination modes. TCMs and medicinal property combination modes were divided according to their efficacies, which were regarded as the concept of inductive logic programming and finally got medicinal property combination and compatibility rules with different efficacies. These medicinal property combination and compatibility rules were used to form the theoretical model through the entity grammar system, realize the automatic reasoning process from the medicinal property combination and compatibility to the efficacies, verify the reasoning result and analyze their rationality and limitations, in order to provide new ideas for revealing the relations between the TCM compatibility rules and efficacies.

To study the characteristics of pharmacological effects of property combinations of traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) distributing in the stomach meridian based on medicinal property combination, in order to further define the association relationship between properties of TCMs and their pharmacological effects, and build a bridge for the interpenetration and combination between the medicinal property theory of TCMs and their pharmacological effects. On the basis of the studies on the medicinal property theory of TCMs distributing along the kidney meridian and their pharmacological effects, efforts were made to collect relevant data for medicinal properties and pharmacological effects and mine the characteristics of pharmacological effects that were corresponding to relevant medicinal property combination by processing materials related to medicinal properties and pharmacological effects with the association rules method. According to the analysis, TCMs distributing along the kidney meridian with different medicinal property combinations were significantly differentiated in the pharmacological effects, but shared identical pharmacological effects, such as immunological enhancement. In this study, TCMs distributing along the kidney meridian with different medicinal property combinations were taken as the carriers to closely integrate the traditional Chinese medicine theory with the modem study achievements, lay a solid foundation for further developing and enriching the traditional Chinese medical property theory, while providing a new perspective on the development of modem medicine.
