3.Preparation and anti-cancer activity in vitro of curcumin loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(21):4189-4193
This paper is to prepare curcumin (Cur) loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle (Cur-MSN), evaluate its release behavior and anti-cancer activity in vitro. Mesoporous silica nanoparticle (MSN) was prepared by polymerization method and Cur-MSN was obtained using solvent evaporation method and impregnation centrifugation method. The preparation method was optimized using entrapment efficiency (EE) and loading efficiency (LE) as indexes. Cur-MSN was characterized with scanning electron microscope and its particle size and zeta potential were determined. Finally, in vitro release behavior in 0.2% SDS solution and its cell-killing effect on HeLa cells were also evaluated. The Cur-MSN prepared with process optimization method was round and uniform and exhibited typical mesoporous characterization. The mean particle size and Zeta potential of Cur-MSN were 75.8 nm and -30.1 mV, respectively. EE and LE of three batches of Cur-MSN were (72.55 ± 2.01)% and (16.21 ± 1.12)%, respectively. In vitro release behavior of Cur-MSN showed a sustained release profile with 83.5% cumulative release within 96 h. The killing effect of Cur-MSN on HeLa cells was dose-dependent with IC50 of 19.40 mg x L(-1), which was similar to that of Cur.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2011;13(4):353-357
Objective To explore a new way to improve the repairing effect of tendon allograft by pretreatment with ethyldimethylaminopropyl carbodiimide (EDC) cross-linking. Methods Rabbits' tendon allografts were obtained by lyopyilization. The allografts were then cross-linked and heparinized by EDC and N-hydroxy-succinimide (NHS) respectively. The degradation rate, cytotoxicity and histocompatibility of the cross-linked allografts were detected and compared with those of untreated at different time points. The injured anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) were repaired by tendon allografts with and without cross-linking pretreatment in rabbits. The tendon-bone healing was observed and compared by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) at 1,3,6 months. Results The degradation rate of the pretreated tendon allografts [(6.26 ± 3.16)%] was significantly lower than that of the unpretreated [(30.70 ± 10.24)%]( t = 14.200,P = 0.025 ).The pretreated tendon allografts were atoxigenic and produced significantly lower inflammatory reaction ( P < 0.05 ).The pretreated tendon allografts also showed more powerful capability of repairing ACL injury and shorter time of tendon-bone healing. Conclusion Tendon allografts cross-linked and heparinized by EDC/NHS may promote tendon-bone healing with improved stability, degradation and biocompatibility.

Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2014;(8):973-975
Objective]To observe the clinical effect of Yinlai Decoction Addition and Subtraction on treating Pediatric Cold about lung-stomach heat retention syndrome.[Method]This study adopted the research design method of case series reports, continuously included 40 Pediatric Cold children with lung-stomach heat retention syndrome treated by Yinlai Decoction Addition and Subtraction from November 2011 to December 2012. Through clinical visiting, we could assess the treatment outcome of this time on the basis of evaluation standard. [Results]33 patients were cured, 5 patients turned better and 5 patients had no effect, the total effective rate was 95.00%. [Conclusion]Yinlai Decoction had clearing and dispersing function, it could treat lung and stomach simultaneously, therefore, it had obvious efficacy in Pediatric Cold about lung-stomach heat retention syndrome.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2010;26(1):65-67
Objective To know the advantages and disadvantages of problem-based learning from students'angle. Methods Interviewed 15 students by PBL scale and face to face interview,to know their ideas about problem-based learning, and then analyzed the results. Results PBL contributed to developing problem-solving skills,self-directed learning, team collaboration and extending professional knowl-edge. But it failed to show positive effect on students'learning motivation. Conclusions PBL has two sides on the outcomes of learning. Implementing PBL appropriately could gain the optimal effects.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(5):582-583
Objective To explore the relationship between te lomerase activity and bile duct carcinoma and its significance in clinical diag nosis. Methods Telomerase activities were examined in 23 cases of bile duct carcinoma, 5 cases of carcinoma adjacent tissues and 5 cases of nor mal bile duct tissues respectively with telomerase PCR-ELISA method. Results Telomerase activity was detected in 18 of 23 cases (78.3%) of b ile duct carcinoma, and was not found in 5 cases of carcinoma adjacent tissues a nd 5 cases of normal bile duct tissues. The detection rate of telomerase activit y had no correlation with patients' age, sex, tumor site and size but significan tly correlated to metastasis of tumor (P<0.05). Conclusion The level of telomerase activity was significantly higher in bile duct carcino ma and may be served as one of the clinical marker for malignant neoplasm becaus e of its spsecificity.

Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(06):-
Objective This study intended to explore the relationship of the polymorphisms of phase Ⅱ metabolic genes (GSTM1 and EPHX1), smoking, alcohol drinking and their interactions on risk of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Methods Using multiplex PCR and PCR-RFLP, the genotypes of GSTM1 and EPHX1 were analyzed in 105 patients with HCC and 151 health controls in Guangxi. The state of smoking and alcohol drinking were investigated. Results The frequency of the GSTM1 null genotype in cases was 64.76% and 50.99% in controls, which was significantly different(P

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(04):-
Objective To summarize our experience in microsurgical treatment of dumbbell tumors. Methods The clinical features, surgical approaches, operative techniques and surgical results of 21 cases of dumbbell tumors were analyzed retrospectively.Four surgical approaches were adopted according to the size and location of tumors, including, posterior midline approach(in 7 cases),modified far lateral approach(in 5 cases),posterior midline supplied by anterior cervical approach(in 2 cases)and paramidline approach(in 7 cases). Results In this series,10 cases of tumors were situated in the cervical,6 in thoracic,4 in lumbar and 1 in sacral segment of the spine.Total removal were achieved in 95% (20/21),and subtotal removal in 5%(1/21).Postoperative pathological diagnosis revealed 15 neurinomas,5 spinal meningiomas and 1 metastatic adenocarcinoma.14 cases of meningiomas and 1 metastatic adenocarcinoma were followed up for 1 to 48 months.11 of the 14 patients recovered completely, with 3 of them living daily life independently,4 maintainly radical hypoesthesia, and one having decubital ulcer unhealed. No postoperative malformation and dysfunction of the disposed spine occurred in these patients.Magnetic resonance imaging scans in 11 of the 14 follow-up cases revealed no tumor recurrence,of which inhanced MRI scans were performed in 8 cases. Conclusions dumbbell tumors should be treated by one-stage operation.Microsurgical technique could improve the rate of total removal, and decrease postoperative complications.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(02):-
This paper describes the measuring principle and algorithm of atherogenic index with oscillometric model. The algorithm proves effective and reliable through analyses of many cases and lots of clinical tests, which has been applied to the development of Lab-VIEW-based software for clinical use. Both patients and doctors can turn to this software for the information of angiosclerosis.
