3.Preparation and anti-cancer activity in vitro of curcumin loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(21):4189-4193
This paper is to prepare curcumin (Cur) loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle (Cur-MSN), evaluate its release behavior and anti-cancer activity in vitro. Mesoporous silica nanoparticle (MSN) was prepared by polymerization method and Cur-MSN was obtained using solvent evaporation method and impregnation centrifugation method. The preparation method was optimized using entrapment efficiency (EE) and loading efficiency (LE) as indexes. Cur-MSN was characterized with scanning electron microscope and its particle size and zeta potential were determined. Finally, in vitro release behavior in 0.2% SDS solution and its cell-killing effect on HeLa cells were also evaluated. The Cur-MSN prepared with process optimization method was round and uniform and exhibited typical mesoporous characterization. The mean particle size and Zeta potential of Cur-MSN were 75.8 nm and -30.1 mV, respectively. EE and LE of three batches of Cur-MSN were (72.55 ± 2.01)% and (16.21 ± 1.12)%, respectively. In vitro release behavior of Cur-MSN showed a sustained release profile with 83.5% cumulative release within 96 h. The killing effect of Cur-MSN on HeLa cells was dose-dependent with IC50 of 19.40 mg x L(-1), which was similar to that of Cur.

Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2009;25(7):1179-1182
Objective To assess the value of two-dimentional strain/strain rate (2D-S/SR) imaging compared with endomyocardial biopsy (EMB) in detecting acute rejection (AR) reaction after heart transplantation (HT). Methods Twenty-five patients who required HT underwent echocardiography within 12 h after EMB. Ten patients of grade 0 AR were regarded as group A, 8 patients with grades Ⅰa-Ⅰb were considered as group B, 7 patients with grades ≥Ⅱa were considered as group C. Thirty age-matched normal controls were considered as group D. The longitudinal, radial and circumferential stain and strain rate of different ventricular wall in systolic were measured and compared among groups. Results Compared with the group D, longitudinal stain (LS) of basal-septum, circumferential strain rate (CSR) of ant-septum at the level of mitral valve, radial strain (RS) of all segments at the level of mitral valve reduced in groups A, B and C. Conclusion The RS of 2D-S/SR is an effective and sensitive technique for the detection of acute rejection, and longitudinal stain can be used as an early index of AR for grade ≥Ⅱ after HT.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression and roles of IL-9 and its receptor (IL-9R) mRNA in the nasal mucosa of ovalbumin-induced allergic rhinitis (AR) mice. METHODS Sixteen Balb/c mice were selected and randomly divided into two groups with 8 mice in each group. Mice were used for establishing the animal model of AR with ovalbumin sensitization as AR group, at the same time, the physiological saline as the control group. In each group, 4 mice were randomly taken from each group, and the pathological examination showed that the model was successful. The nasal mucosa was taken from the remaining 4 mice in each group and then to detect IL-9 and IL-9R mRNA in nasal mucosa of the two groups by using real-time quantitative PCR. RESULTS The expression of IL-9 and IL-9R mRNA could be detected in both the control and AR groups. The expression levels of IL-9 and IL-9R mRNA in the nasal mucosa of the AR group were both higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The expression level of IL-9 mRNA was positively correlated with the expression of IL-9R mRNA in the nasal mucosa of mice (r =0.857, P<0.05). CONCLUSION IL-9 and its receptor IL-9R are involved in the development of AR, and play an important role in the development of allergic rhinitis. It provides a new perspective for the further understanding of the pathogenesis of AR and provides a new clue for the treatment of allergic rhinitis.

Objective To discuss the features of MRI and molybdenum target X-ray in mammary primary non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Methods 3 cases of mammary primary non-Hodgkin's lymphoma were studied. The features of MRI and molybdenum target X-ray werecollected and analyzed(all 3 cases had molybdenum target X-ray in MLO site and CC site, one had MRI image). Results All 3 caseslesions were in single side, one case had two lesions in one side. The diameter of all the lesions were more than 3cm.The lesion presented as iso-or slight hyperdensity shadow, and related to breast tissue and density was hemogeneous. The tumor was irregular but no bristle andcalcification. There was no skin and nipple involved in superficial of mammary gland. In T_1WI showed even low signal. In T_2WI showedeven little high or equal signal.Intensity was hemogeneous and obvious. The curve of time-signal intensity was platform pattern. Conclusion The features of MRI and molybdenum target X-ray in mammary primary non-Hodgkin's lymphoma are characteristic and helpful for deciding correct therapy plan.

Objective Congenital dislocation of the patella is rare and produces varying degrees of knee disability with the growth of the child. It should be managed as soon as the diagnosis is made. The purpose of this paper is to describe the procedure and to assess the results of congenital dislocation of patella treated with medial transfer of patellar tendon and lateral transfer of medial fascio muscular flap. Methods Five children with congenital dislocation of patella were treated with medial transfer of patellar tendon and lateral transfer of medial fascio muscular flap between June 1994 and June 1998. There were two boys and three girls. The age of the patients at the surgery varied from 4 to 10 years. Four of them were unilateral and one was bilateral without any other deformities. An S-shaped incision is made to expose the distended medial fascio muscular flap, dislocated patella and well developed vastus medialis. The patellar tendon is detached from its insertion and released from the surrounding retinacula. A hole corresponding to the width of the patella is made in the membrane and another one is made through the synovial membrane and the fibrous capsule. The patellar tendon was sutured into the hole in the tibial metaphysis through the two membrane holes. The iliotibial band was lengthened and the biceps tendon was turned over the abundant medial retinaculum with a part of the vastus medialis to the lateral side of the synovial membrane. The patient was kept in a long leg cast and immobilized for 6 weeks. Results The average period of follow up was three years(range, one year and six months to five years). Four cases were able to extend the knee completely and one case had minus ten degrees in extention. Knee valgus in two patients disappeared after operation and one had a lower patella, but the function of knee was normal without any symptoms and signs. There were no complications in this series. Conclusion The patients with congenital dislocation of patella which is permanent and irreducible must be interfered with operation. Five patients were successfully treated with medial transfer of patellar tendon and lateral transfer of medial fascio muscular flap with less invasive and no complications, therefor it is worthwhile to be recommended for the treatment of congenital dislocation of patella.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
The clinical application of GlucoWatch used in 32 Chinese diabetic patients was evaluated to determine its value in following blood glucose trends and track patterns and to know the compliance of patient. The results confirmed the accuracy of GlucoWatch and showed that it could follow blood glucose trends and track patterns. The skin irritation was mild and most subjects thought that blood glucose monitoring by GlucoWatch could reduce the pain caused by traditional methods.

This paper is to report the results of the experimental study on the effects of the explosion sound waves on the hearing power and the activities of succinic dehydrogenase (SDH) and malic dehydrogenase (MDH) of the cochlea tissues in guinea pigs. The alterations of the hearing power and the activities of the two enzymes were monitored with auditory physiological and histochemical methods respectively. The results of the experiment were as follows:The activities of both SDH and MDH decreased significantly (P
