Objective:To understand the current status of humanistic care ability of undergraduate intern nursing students and patient safety perception and to explore the correlation between them, so as to provide a new basis for nursing managers to formulate intervention strategies to improve patient safety perception of undergraduate nursing students. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 120 senior nursing students who were intern in a Class Ⅲ Grade A hospital in Dalian were selected as the research objects. The general data questionnaire, Human Care Ability Scalefor Nursing College Students and Chinese version of Health Professional Education in Patient Safety Survey (H-PEPSS) were used to investigate the patients. A total of 120 questionnaires were sent out and 111 were effectively returned, with an effective recovery rate of 92.5%.Results:The total score of Human Care Ability Scale for Nursing College Students of 111 undergraduate nursing students was (67.25±9.14) and the total score of H-PEPSs was (70.69±9.71) . The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that instilling faith and hope, promoting emotional communication and helping to relieve difficulties were the influencing factors of patient safety perception of undergraduate nursing students ( P< 0.05) . Conclusions:The humanistic care ability of undergraduate nursing students is positively correlated with patient safety perception.Universities and teaching hospitals should pay more attention to the cultivation of humanistic care ability of undergraduate nursing students in order to achieve the purpose of improving their patient safety perception.

Objective:To explore the status of sense of research gain in nursing postgraduates, and to explore the correlation of sense of research gain, learning engagement, and mentors' guidance behavior. Methods:From April to May 2022, a total of 238 nursing postgraduates in China were selected as the research objects by convenience sampling method, and were investigated using Sense of Research Gain, Utrech Work Engagement Scale-Student and Mentors' Guidance Behavior Scale. Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation of learning engagement, mentors' guidance behavior and sense of research gain in nursing postgraduates. Hierarchical linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of sense of research gain. A total of 238 questionnaires were distributed in this study, and 231 valid questionnaires were received, with an effective recovery rate of 97.06%.Results:The score of Utrech Work Engagement Scale-Student in nursing postgraduates was (31.47±6.01) , the score of Sense of Research Gain was (63.47±17.07) , and the score of Mentors' Guidance Behavior Scale was (50.90±11.10) . Pearson correlation analysis results showed that the total score and each dimension score of Sense of Research Gain and Mentors' Guidance Behavior Scale were positively correlated with the total score and each dimension score of Utrech Work Engagement Scale-Student ( r value were 0.351-0.662, P all <0.01) . Hierarchical linear regression analysis results showed that mentor's title, learning engagement and mentor's guidance behavior were the influencing factors of sense of research gain in nursing postgraduates ( P<0.05) , which could explain 55.60% of the variation of the sense of research gain. Conclusions:The sense of research gain of nursing postgraduates still needs to be improved. Mentor's title as professor, learning engagement and mentor's guidance behavior were the influencing factors of sense of research gain in nursing postgraduates. School should strengthen the level of learning engagement of nursing postgraduates, standardize mentor's guidance behavior, so as to improve sense of research gain.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2023;29(22):3026-3032
Objective:To explore the effect of supportive care in elderly breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods:From October 2020 to October 2021, a total of 66 elderly breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy from the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University were enrolled as research objects using the convenience sample method, and were divided into the observation group and the control group with 33 cases in each group according to coin toss. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received supportive care based on the control group. Supportive care needs, symptom burden, and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, there was no significant difference in sexual need dimension score between the two groups ( P>0.05). After intervention, the scores of physiological and daily life needs, psychological needs, care and support needs, health information needs and total average score of supportive care needs of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). After intervention, the total average score of symptom burden of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). After intervention, the total average score of quality of life of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Supportive care can reduce the needs of elderly breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, reduce the burden of symptoms, and improve the quality of life, which is worthy of clinical application.

Objective:To explore the mediating effect of self-directed learning ability between feedback-seeking behavior and caring ability of nursing students in school. Methods:In September 2019, convenience sampling was used to select undergraduate nursing students from grades 1 to 3 in a medical university in Liaoning Province as the research object. The Feedback Seeking Behavior Scale, Self-regulated Learning Ability Scale and the Caring Ability Inventory were used to conduct a cross-sectional survey. A total of 184 questionnaires were distributed and 172 valid questionnaires were returned. Results:The caring ability score of 172 school nursing students was (184.45±18.34) . Among nursing students in school, caring ability was positively correlated with feedback-seeking behavior and self-directed learning ability with a statistical difference ( P<0.01) , and feedback-seeking behavior was positively correlated with self-directed learning ability also with a statistical difference ( P<0.01) . The self-directed learning ability played a part of mediating role between feedback-seeking behavior and caring ability, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.01) , and the mediating effect was 61.18%. Conclusions:The caring ability of school nursing students is at an intermediate level and needs to be further improved. The feedback-seeking behavior of nursing students in school can directly affect the caring ability, and can also indirectly affect the caring ability through self-directed learning ability. Educators can guide and cultivate the feedback-seeking behavior and self-directed learning ability of nursing students at school, promote their self-regulation, and improve their caring abilities.
