1.The research progress of metals correlated to Alzheimer's disease.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2014;49(10):1372-6
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a kind of neurodegenerative diseases, the most common cause of dementia. Although AD has been studied more than, 100 years and the Aβ and tau theory are most widely accepted among the theories achieved, yet it is not really clear what the mechanism related to AD works up to now. However, it is certain that AD is a kind of diseases resulting from multi-causes. Except for causes correlated with heredity, aging and life habits, environmental role is worth taking into consideration as well. Some metals, such as copper, aluminum, zinc and iron et al, can also have close relationship with AD. Now, we make an overview on the correlative researches in the field.

The inheritance of famous old traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctors plays an essential role in the fields of TCM research. Qualitative interviews allow for subjectivity and individuality within clinical experience as well as academic ideas of doctors, making it a potential appropriate research method for inheritance of famous old TCM doctors. We summarized current situations of inheritance research on famous old TCM doctors, and then discussed the feasibility of applying qualitative interviews in inheritance of famous old TCM doctors. By combining our experience in research on inheritance of famous old TCM doctors, we gave some advice on study design, interview implementation, data transcription and analyses , and report writing, providing a reference for further relevant research.

OBJECTIVE:To analyze the pathological characteristics and therapy method for influenza A(H1N1/H3N2)in-fection complicated with plastic bronchitis (PB). METHODS:Clinical information of 3 children with influenza A (H1N1/H3N2) infection complicated with PB were reported to summarize the experience of aerosol inhalation of Budesonide suspen-sion combined with fiber bronchoscope lavage. Based on literatures, this rare disease were analyzed. RESULTS:Among 3 chil-dren,2 children suffered from influenza A H1N1 infection and one child influenza A H3N2 infection complicated with PB;2 of them got basic disease,i.e. bronchial asthma and primary renal syndrome. 3 children were diagnosed as severe pneumonia,re-spiratory failure and pulmonary atelectasis;2 of them suffered from mediastinal emphesema and subcutaneous emphysema. The branchlike foreign bodies, removed by fiber bronchoscope, were fibrin complicated with neutrophile granulocyte, eosinophile granulocyte and leukomonocyte infiltration by pathological examinations. It was diagnosed as PB. 3 children received symptom-atic support treatment as assisted respiration, respiratory tract management and anti-infective treatment, and aerosol inhalation of Budesonide suspension combined with fiber bronchoscope lavage. And then they were cured and discharged from the hospi-tal. CONCLUSIONS:PB is one complication of influenza A pneumonia and severe. Fiber bronchoscope must be carried out as soon as possible based on aerosol inhalation of Budesonide suspension once PB is suspected,so as to diagnose early and treat promptly.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of preoperative real-time three-dimensional color Doppler transthoracic echocardiography on assessment of patients with structural heart disease (SHD). Methods A total of 111 pa?tients were assessed preoperatively using real-time three-dimensional color Doppler transthoracic echocardiography (RT-3D-CDTTE), which include 31 SHD patients and 80 patients without SHD that were designed as negative control. Conven?tional two-dimensional color Doppler transthoracic echocardiography (2D-CDTTE) were used to compared with RT-3D-CDTTE while cardiovascular angiography and intraoperative findings were used as“Golden Standard”simultaneously. First of all, preoperative echocardiographic examination were performed and diagnosis was given. Angiography and intraoperative findings were hired to verify the accuracy of echocardiographic diagnosis before operation. Results (1) The preoperative RT-3D-CDTTE displayed three-dimensional structure and hemodynamic status of SHD cardiac lesions clearly, which were consistent with cardiovascular angiography and intraoperative findings. (2) P value of McNemar test between 2D-CDTTE and“Golden Standard”was greater than 0.05, Kappa=0.654 (P<0.001). P value of McNemar test between RT-3D-CDTTE and“Golden Standard”was greater than 0.05, Kappa=0.932 (P<0.001). Conclusion RT-3D-CDTTE can provides essen?tial information for preoperative evaluation which is important for decision of SHD management.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(15):-
Objective To study the changes in tumor necrosis alpha(TNF ?), interleukin 6(IL 6), procalcitonin(PCT) and C reactive protein (CRP) levels and their values in the prediction and assisting diagnosis of infection complications in severe multiple trauma patients. Methods TNF ?, IL 6 and CRP were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbant assay(ELISA) and PCT was determined by immunoluminometric assay(ILMA) in serial samples of plasma from 34 patients with severe multiple trauma(ISS≥16) and compared with those of 11 normal control volunteers. Patients were divided into 2 groups(infection and non infection groups). The differences of the above parameters between groups were compared. In addition, all data were managed by receiver operating characteristic(ROC), and sensitivity, specificity, negative and positive predictive values for the diagnosis of infection complications were calculated. Results Plasma levels of TNF ?, IL 6, PCT and CRP in multiple trauma patients without infection complications were increased differently in the early posttrauma period. TNF ? and CRP levels in the early posttrauma period before infection were not significantly different from those in patients without infection complications, but they increased significantly following infection. However, during the whole observing period, plasma levels of PCT and IL 6 in the patients with infection complications were higher than those in patients without. The value of those parameters in assisting diagnosis of infection was evaluated. PCT was of the highest specificity and higher negative and positive predictive values. Conclusion All the parameters are of clinical value in infection diagnosis after severe multiple trauma. PCT is the best index for the prediction and assisting diagnosis of infection after multiple trauma.

Objective To investigate the value of MRI in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of bladder leiomyoma. Methods Clinical data, pathological files and MRI findings of 8 patients with bladder leiomyoma that verified by pathologic were analyzed retrospectively. Results 4 cases of bladder leiomyoma were located in front bladder wall, 3 cases were in post bladder wall and 1 case in right bladder wall;meanwhile, 6 cases were endovesical(75.0%),1 case was intramural(12.5%) and another 1 case was extravesical(12.5%).All lesions displayed equal signals on T1WI, equal or slightly high signals on T2WI with mild and moderate enhancements;bladder wall adjacent to tumors and structures around were not invaded by tumors.6 cases of all displayed inhomogeneous signals on T2WI and with some patchy or stripe high signals in it, the signals turned to equal on a fat-saturated T1WI which was similar with muscle of pelvic wall. Conclusion MRI features of bladder leiomyoma showed certain characteristics.
