Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2014;49(1):30-36
APOBEC3 is a class of cytidine deaminase, which is considered as a new member of the innate immune system, and APOBEC3G belongs to this family. The research about APOBEC3G is a new direction of innate immune defense mechanism against virus. APOBEC3G has the restrictive activity on many viral replications, which deaminates dC to dU in the viral genome and then induces extensive hypermutation. APOBEC3G can also interrupt viral replication at several phases such as reverse transcription, replication, nucleocapsid and so on by non-deamination mechanisms. However, virus can encode viral proteins to counteract the restriction activity of APOBEC3G. Elucidation of the antagonistic interaction between APOBEC3G and the virus will be contributed to development of new antiviral drugs in the future.

5.Expression of tyrosine phosphatase containing C-src homology SH-2 in benign prostate hyperplasia.
Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2007;36(5):488-492
OBJECTIVETo explore the expression of tyrosine phosphatase containing C-src homology SH-2 (SHP-1 and SHP-2) in benign prostate hyperplasia.
METHODSWith En Vision two-step method, the expression of SHP-1 and SHP-2 was detected in 10 cases of normal prostate tissue, 30 cases of BPH, 20 cases of PIN, 20 cases of high differential Pca and 20 cases of low differential Pca.
RESULTThe expression of SHP-2 in normal group was mainly distributed in the cytoplasm of secretive cells and basal cells, and a little part in the nucleu. In BPH it was distributed equally in the plasm and nucleu. In PIN, high differential Pca and low differential Pca, SHP-2 expressed mainly in nucleu. The average dyeing index of SHP-2 in each group is 0.4, 1.7, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.6. SHP-1 positive expression in normal prostate, BPH, PIN and high differential Pca showed differentiating layer staining in the cytoplasm of secretive cells and basal cells, while not in low differential Pca. The average dyeing index of SHP-1 in each group is 1.8, 1.8, 1.5, 1.2 and 0.4.
CONCLUSIONThere are transformation in signal transduction relation with SHP-1 and SHP-2 in the progress of prostate cell proliferation, differentiation and malignant. The abnormal activation and distribution of SHP-2 might induce prostate reconstruction and hyperplasia, even carcinoma.

Chinese materia medica resource (CMM resource) is the foundation of the development of traditional Chinese medicine. In the study of sustainable utilization of CMM resource, adopting innovative theory and method to find new CMM resource is one of hotspots and always highlighted. Pharmacophylogeny interrogates the phylogenetic relationship of medicinal organisms (especially medicinal plants), as well as the intrinsic correlation of morphological taxonomy, molecular phylogeny, chemical constituents, and therapeutic efficacy (ethnopharmacology and pharmacological activity). This new discipline may have the power to change the way we utilize medicinal plant resources and develop plant-based drugs. Phylogenomics is the crossing of evolutionary biology and genomics, in which genome data are utilized for evolutionary reconstructions. Phylogenomics can be integrated into the flow chart of drug discovery and development, and extends the field of pharmacophylogeny at the omic level, thus the concept of pharmacophylogenomics could be redefined in the context of plant pharmaceutical resources. This contribution gives a brief discourse of knowledge pedigree of pharmacophylogeny, epistemology and paradigm shift, highlighting the theoretical and practical values of pharmacophylogenomics. Many medicinally important tribes and genera, such as Clematis, Pulsatilla, Anemone, Cimicifugeae, Nigella, Delphinieae, Adonideae, Aquilegia, Thalictrum, and Coptis, belong to Ranunculaceae family. Compared to other plant families, Ranunculaceae has the most species that are recorded in China Pharmacopoeia (CP) 2010. However, many Ranunculaceae species, e. g., those that are closely related to CP species, as well as those endemic to China, have not been investigated in depth, and their phylogenetic relationship and potential in medicinal use remain elusive. As such, it is proposed to select Ranunculaceae to exemplify the utility of pharmacophylogenomics and to elaborate the new concept empirically. It is argued that phylogenetic and evolutionary relationship of medicinally important tribes and genera within Ranunculaceae could be elucidated at the genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic levels, from which the intrinsic correlation between medicinal plant genotype and metabolic phenotype, and between genetic diversity and chemodivesity of closely related taxa, could be revealed. This proof-of-concept study regards pharmacophylogenomics as the updated version of pharmacophylogeny and would enrich the intension and spread the extension of pharmacophylogeny. The interdisciplinary knowledge and techniques will be integrated in the proposed study to promote development of CMM resource discipline and to boost sustainable development of Chinese medicinal plant resources.

World Journal of Emergency Medicine 2017;8(2):141-147
BACKGROUND:Although coagulopathy can be very common in severe traumatic shock patients, the exact incidence and mechanism remain unclear. In this study, a traumatic shock rabbit model with special abdomen injuries was developed and evaluated by examining indicators of clotting and fibrinolysis. METHODS:Forty New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into four groups:group 1 (sham), group 2 (hemorrhage), group 3 (hemorrhage-liver injury), and group 4 (hemorrhage-liver injury/intestinal injury-peritonitis). Coagulation was detected by thromboelastography before trauma (T0), at 1 hour (T1) and 4 hours (T2) after trauma. RESULTS:Rabbits that suffered from hemorrhage alone did not differ in coagulation capacity compared with the sham group. The clot initiations (R times) of group 3 at T1 and T2 were both shorter than those of groups 1, 2, and 4 (P<0.05). In group 4, clot strength was decreased at T1 and T2 compared with those in groups 1, 2, and 3 (P<0.05), whereas the R time and clot polymerization were increased at T2 (P<0.05). The clotting angle significantly decreased in group 4 compared with groups 2 and 3 at T2 (P<0.05). CONCLUSION:This study suggests that different abdominal traumatic shock show diverse coagulopathy in the early phase. Isolated hemorrhagic shock shows no obvious effect on coagulation. In contrast, blunt hepatic injury with hemorrhage shows hypercoagulability, whereas blunt hepatic injury with hemorrhage coupled with peritonitis caused by a ruptured intestine shows a tendency toward hypocoagulability.
