Objective To preliminarily explore the delineation of clinical target volume in intensity-modulated radiotherapy for para-aortic lymph node metastases in patients with gynecological malignancies. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 56 gynecological tumor patients with para-aortic lymph node metastases who were admitted to our department from January 2010 to September 2016.The number and distribution of metastatic para-aortic lymph nodes were determined by imaging method. Results A total of 108 positive para-aortic lymph nodes were found in the 56 patients, with 1-4(mean,2) positive para-aortic lymph nodes per patient. The mean diameter of positive para-aortic lymph nodes was 2.3 cm (1.2-4.0 cm).A total of 20 metastatic lymph nodes (19%) were located at the L4 level,38(35%) at the L3 level,44(41%) at the L2 level, and 6(5%) at the L1 level. There were 71 metastatic lymph nodes (66%) at the left side of the para-aortic region,20 metastatic lymph nodes (19%) between the abdominal aorta and the vena cava, and 17 metastatic lymph nodes (15%) at the right side of the inferior vena cava. Conclusions For patients with gynecological malignancies, nodal contouring for the para-aortic region should not be defined by a fixed circumferential margin around the vessels. The left side of the para-aortic region should be covered adequately;the upper target should be extended up to the renal artery, and needs to be further extended for patients who have nodal involvement near the renal arteries and veins.

To study the expression of some protooncogenes in burn wounded skin tissue. Methods: The protooncogene expression was analysed by mRNA dot blot hybridization, autoradiography and densitermeter. Results: Thermal injury induced C-myc, C-myb, C-jun and C-sis mRNA expression. How-ever, those four protooncogenes showed different expression models. Expression of C-myc and C-jun in-creased at d 1, and peaked 1 and 3 d postburn, respectively. Expression of C-myb and C-sis increased 3and 5 d, and peaked 10 d after thermal injury. Conclusion: Thermal injury can induce some protooncogeneexpression which sh0wed temporal order and well controlled manifestation. Those results suggest thatthose four protooncogenes are involved with the repair process as a regulator.

Objective To investigate the antitumor effects of phycoerythrin from Gracilaria lemaneiftheormis. Methods The coarse phycoerythrin(CPE) was ig administered to sarcoma180 mice, then the antitumor effect of CPE in vivo was evaluated by the inhibition rate, thymus and spleen indexes. The growth inhibitory effect of phycoerythrin(PE) on cell lines HeLa,EC109,and vascular endothelial in vitro was examined with MTT assay.Influences on HeLa cell cycle and apoptosis of PE were observed by flow cytometry and annexin v-fitc/PI fluorescence staining. Results CPE exhibited inhibitory effect against sarcoma180 growth in mice at the dosage of 100~300 mg?kg-1with a fair dose-effect relationship, and the inhibitory rate was 49.23% at the dosage of 300 mg? kg-1.CPE could also obviously increase the weight of thymus;PE could obviously inhibit the growth of HeLa cell in a dose-effect relationship, the inhibitory rate could reach more than 70%.It could prevent the transforming of HeLa cell cycle from G2/M to S phase to cause apoptosis. But PE couldn't inhibit the growth of EC109 cell, while some growth stimulating effects of PE on vascular endothelial cell were observed. Conclusion The PE from Gracilaria lemaneiftheormis could observably inhibit sarcoma180 growth in vivo.Effects of PE on different cells in vitro were differ, but showed potent inhibitory effect to HeLa cell.
