1.Relationship between internet addiction and suicidal tendency in undergraduates
Chinese Journal of Health Management 2011;05(6):384-386
Objective To understand the prevalence of internet addiction disorder(IAD)and explore its relationship with suicidal tendency of undergraduates. Methods A total of 1517 undergraduates were investigated by using Internet Addiction Scale(IAS),Beck Hopelessness Scale(BHS)and self-made questionnaire. Results The prevalence of lAD was 14.8%.Males,single child, and those at the second grade, with poor performance or higher family income were at a higher risk of internet addiction(P < 0.01).There was significantly positive correlation between internet addiction and suicidal tendency in undergraduates(x2 =76.30,P < 0.01,r =0.40).The risk of suicidal tendency was significantly increased in the high internet addiction score group(OR =12.29,95 % CI 6.33 to 23.84).Conclusion Higher prevalence of IAD was found in the undergraduates, which could contribute to the increasing suicide.
2.Relationship between executive function and depressive symptoms during the tower of London test in patients with major depressive disorder
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2017;26(3):247-250
Objective To investigate the relationship between executive function and depressive symptoms in patients with major depressive disorder( MDD) under the Tower of London Test ( TOL) . Meth-ods Thirty depression patients and thirty age?, gender?, education?matched normal controls participated in the study. All subjects received the Tower of London Test. The severity of depressive and anxiety symptoms were assessed by Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression ( HAMD) ,Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale( HAMA) and Beck Depression Rating Scale( BDI) . Results ( 1) The numbers of correct response and total response of the TOL in MDD(9.1±5.1,12.1±5.3) were significantly lower than those of the control group(13.8±5.0, 17.3±3.9)(P<0.05).The response time of the TOL test in patients with MDD((10.4±2.8)s) was signifi?cantly longer than that of the control group((8.5±2.2)s)(P<0.05). (2)The scores of HAMD ,BDI and HAMA were negatively correlated with numbers of total response( r=-0.403,-0.544,-0.495,) in patients with MDD ( all P<0.05) . Conclusion The executive function of patients with MDD is impaired and nega?tively correlated with depressive and anxiety symptoms under the Tower of London Test.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 1992;0(01):-
Objective:To investigate the relationship between Toxoplasma infection and schizophrenia by comparing the clinical symptoms between the antitoxoplasma-seropositive and seronegative patients with schizophrenia. Methods: Six hundred cases of first-episode schizophrenia were examined the serum reactivity to IgG antitoxoplasma antibody by Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). And the clinical symptoms of the schizophrenic patients were scored by use of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS). Results: Compared to IgG-seronegative schizophrenia, IgG-seropositive schizophrenia group was higher in the positive subscale score, the positive component score, the excitement component score, and the cognitive component score(20.8?4.2与19.4?3.4,P

Chinese Mental Health Journal 1989;0(03):-
Objective: To compare the quality of life of schizophrenics treated with risperidone and clozapine Method: We followed 24 schizophrenics treated with risperidone and 26 with clozapine for 6 months All subjects were assessed with PANSS, TESS and WHO QOL-100 before treatment and 1, 2, 3, 6 months after Results: After 6 month, risperidone and clozapine had similar effects on positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia Risperidone group had greater improvement in total score of PANSS Risperidone could significantly improve all aspects of quality of life of patients, except Domination While clozapine just improved some parts of that, it had no help to Physics, Psychology and Independence Conclusion:Risperidone is more favorable than clozapine for schizophrenics to return to society

Objective:to explore the relation of a marker (TaqIA) located DRD 2 gene and heroin dependence.Method:to compare the genotypes and allele frequencies between 66 patients with heroin dependence and 132 normal controls by PCR-RELP. TABPQ was used to measure the characters of patient's behavior.Result:There were significant differences in allele frequencies between patients and controls. No behavior difference was found between patients with different genotypes. Conclusion:There is an association between the marker (TaqIA) and heroin dependence. The data suggest that patients with A1 allele confers susceptibility to heroin dependence.

Objective: The purpose of the study was to explore the correlation between clinical symptom and performances in Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) in unmedicated patients with recent onset schizophrenia Methods: Forty unmedicated schizophrenic patients with recent onset and thirty-two normal controls were studied with Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, and at the same time the patients were assessed with PANSS Multivariable correlation analysis was performed to explain relationship between symptom and WCST Results: The performance of patients with schizophrenia was significantly worse than that of the normal controls (P

Chinese Mental Health Journal 2002;0(07):-
Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of combining acanthopanax senticosus and lithium carbonate for the treatment of adolescent depression. Methods: 65 outpatients or inpatients were enrolled in a double-blind randomized clinical study which was conducted comparing combining acanthopanax senticosus and lithium versus combining fluoxetine and lithium for 6 weeks. Efficacy and side effects were assessed with Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) and treatment emergent symptom scale (TESS) respectively before and after the treatment. Results: 63 patients finished the trial, the rate of dropout was 3.08%. Altogether, 65 patients were enrolled in the study, only 32 were enrolled in ITT analysis and PP analysis in acanthopanax senticosus group, while 33 were enrolled in ITT analysis and 31 were eligible for PP analysis in fluoxetine group. The HAMD scores were significantly decreased after treatment at each weekly point in both groups. The difference of decreased HAMD scores between the two groups was not significant in weeks after treatment. At the end of treatment, the rate of utility and significant utility had no significant difference between the two groups. There were two patients who developed mania, while the rate of mania-conversion had no significant difference. Conclusion: Combined acanthopanax senticosus and lithium carbonate is an effect therapeutic scheme to adolescent bipolar depression.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 1993;0(02):-
Objective: To examine the emotional states of asthmatic children with different degrees of severity, as well as the effects of emotion on change of cytokines in airway. Methods: Asthmatic children were divided into two groups according to the degrees of severity: moderate and mild. Their emotional states were measured and results were compared. Correlation analysis was conducted between scores on emotional scales and sputum levels of IL-8.Results: Total scores on anxiety and depression were higher in the moderate group than in the mild group. Negative correlation was found between levels of anxiety and IL-8 during acute exacerbation of asthmatic condition. Conclusion: Emotional distress was found to be increased with severity of asthmatic condition in children. Anxiety contributed to the decreased concentration of IL-8 in asthmatic children's airway.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 2001;0(03):-
Objective: To investigate factors related to quality of life among nurses. Methods: 1103 nurses were sampled from 5 hospitals and administered with WHOQOL-100. Results: There were significant differences between nurses' on major variables of quality of life. Levels of depression and anxiety had important influence on the quality of life of nurses. Conclusion: The quality of life of nurses was within normal range. Some variables such as mental health status and family factors might play an important role in nurses' quality of life.
