Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2017;26(6):492-496
Mental disorders are caused by the synergy of genetic and environmental factors, and epigenetics provides a bridge for mental disorders between environmental exposure and genetic background. This review discussed the role of epigenetics on the development of mental disorders, especially in schizophrenia and depression.DNA methylation, histone acetylation, histone methylation,ncRNA,depressive disorder and schizophrenia were used as searching terms.('Schizophrenia OR depressive disorder') and all field of DNA methylation/histone acetylation/histone methylation/ncRNA were taken as index strategy.67 related articles in database of PubMed,ScienceDirect in March 2017 were acquired.41 articles were enrolled as reviewing materials according to literature screening.Existing researches suggest that epigenetic modifications, including DNA methylation, histone acetylation, histone methylation, and ncRNAs,may be associated with the occurrence of mental illnesses and play key roles in the pathogenesis of mental illnesses, especially in schizophrenia and depression.Further studies on them could provide us novel insights into the pathogenesis of these disorders and effective treatments based upon epigenetic mechanisms.

Objective:To investigate the application value of multi-slice spiral CT angiography in the clinical diagnosis of aortic dissection. Methods:The clinical data of 78 patients with aortic dissection diagnosed by digital subtraction angiography and treated between January 2015 and December 2019 in Putuo District People's Hospital of Zhoushan and Zhoushan Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. All patients underwent multi-slice spiral CT angiography and digital subtraction angiography. The type of aortic dissection, the number of aortic lacunas, the distance between the lacuna and the left subclavian artery, the involved branches, the percentage of artery wall calcification, and arterial dissection thrombosis determined by multi-slice spiral CT angiography and digital subtraction angiography were compared. Results:All 78 patients were diagnosed with aortic dissection by digital subtraction angiography, and 75 (96.2%) were diagnosed with aortic dissection by multi-slice spiral CT angiography. The same type of aortic dissection was detected by multi-slice spiral CT angiography and digital subtraction angiography, but three patients were misdiagnosed with pericarditis by multi-slice spiral CT angiography. There were no significant differences in the number of aortic lacunas and the distance between the lacuna and the left subclavian artery between the two methods ( t = 1.02, 0.57, both P > 0.05). The involved branches [61.3% (46/78),] the percentage of artery wall calcification [26.7% (20/78)], and the percentage of arterial dissection thrombosis [78.7% (59/78)] determined by multi-slice spiral CT angiography were significantly higher than 43.6% (34/75), 12.8% (10/75), and 62.8% (49/75) respectively determined by digital subtraction angiography ( χ2 = 4.83, 4.65, 4.62, all P < 0.05). Conclusion:Multi-slice spiral CT angiography exhibits a similar capacity to identify aortic dissection to digital subtraction angiography. It can accurately determine the number and location of aortic lacunas, display the calcification and thrombosis of vascular wall, and is minimally invasive and simply operated. Therefore, multi-slice spiral CT angiography is of high application value in the clinical diagnosis and preoperative evaluation of aortic dissection.

Mature animal models of rabbit ear scars were made from formation to maturation. Tissue oxygen partial pressure was determined by percutaneous oxygen monitoring at 14,30,60 and 90 days, and then pathology examination was performed. Fourteen days after surgery, bright red granulation tissues had a large number of inflammatory cells and angiogenesis; oxygen partial pressure was (0.81?0.25) kPa. Thirty days after surgery, the scars were significantly higher than the normal skin, bright red, made up of a large number of fibroblasts and capillary in the organizations; the partial pressure of oxygen was (1.98? 0.26) kPa. At 60 days after surgery, the scars were shrinking; color was light; the organization fibroblast cells and microvessel decreased; partial pressure oxygen was (1.86?0.60) kPa. Ninety days after surgery, the scars were flat; color was white; organizational structure was closed to normal skin; oxygen partial pressure was (13.70?1.16) kPa (P

Objective To investigate the feasibility and safety of percutaneous interstitial implantation of ~(125)I seeds into the pancreas of pig under CT-guidance. Methods Twelve healthy pigs were equally divided into 6 groups.~(125)I seed implantation into the pancreatic tail under CT-guidance was performed in pigs of study groups (group A-E), while ghost seeds that contained no radioactive materials were used in the control group (group F). Imaging examination and laboratory tests, including serum amylase, hepatic and renal functions, were conducted before and 1, 7, 15, 21, 30, 60 days after the procedure. Every two pigs (group A-E) were sacrificed each time at 15, 30, 45, 60, and 75 days after treatment, and specimens of pancreas, duodenum, liver, kidney, etc. were collected and sent for pathologic examination. Results The ~(125)I seeds were successfully implanted in all pigs. During the follow-up period, no severe complications occurred. Imaging and pathologic studies demonstrated that in study groups necrosis of pancreatic tissue appeared around the implanted ~(125)I seeds in 15 days, the necrosis area increased significantly in 45 and 60 days, and in 75 days the necrosis size remained quite the same as seen in 60 days. No necrosis was found in the control group (group F) 60 days after treatment. No serious complications, such as effusions, hemorrhage or necrosis of the adjacent duodenum, stomach, liver or kidney, occurred 75 days after the treatment. Conclusion Percutaneous interstitial implantation of ~(125)I seeds into the pig's pancreas under CT-guidance is safe and feasible.

Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of CT-guided ~(125)I seed implantation with simple Gemcitabine chemotherapy for the treatment of unresectable pancreatic carcinoma. Methods Forty-six untreated patients with unresectable advanced pancreatic carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups: group A (n = 22), treated with ~(125)I seed implantation and group B (n = 24), treated with intravenous chemotherapy using Gemcitabine only. The clinical benefit response (CBR), objective tumor response (OTR), safety and the improvement of living quality were evaluated and analyzed. Results Three months after the treatment, the OTR rate of group A and group B was 45.5% and 8.33% respectively (P < 0.05). The CBR rate of group A and group B was 47.1% and 25% respectively (P < 0.05). No significant difference in PFS between group A and group B (P > 0.05). And also, the incidence of hematological toxicity and complication between two groups were of no significant difference. Conclusion For the treatment of advanced unresectable pancreatic carcinoma, both simple Gemcitabine chemotherapy and ~(125)I seed implantation are able to obtain a moderate objective response, although ~(125)I seed implantation seems to be more effective than Gemcitabine in improving the living quality and survival rate.
