1.Value of ultrasonography in diagnosing the occult dorsal carpal ganglion
Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2008;17(7):621-623
Objective To evaluate the value of uhrasonography in diagnosing the occult dorsal carpal ganglion. Methods Sixteen patients with chronic dorsal wrist pain received ultrasound examination. Eleven ofthem were treated with surgical therapy. And they were followed up for 1-8 months. Results The ultrasound characteristics of oecuh dorsal carpal ganglion were depicted as follows;①The dorsal cortical bone of scaphoid and lunate was continued and without damage. ② An oval anecho lesion with clear boundany, smooth ganglion wall, lateral shandowing and posterior enhancement could be detected in the dorsal part of scapholunate joint. ③Color Doppler flow imaging showed there was not obvious blood flow signals inside and around the ganglion. Conclusions Uhrasonography could be acted as a routine examination technique after the X-ray examintion in the diagnosis of the the occult dorsal carpal ganglion.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2015;(7):964-966
Objective To investigate the value of vascular disease of lower extremity of 64 slice spiral CT angiography in patients with diabetic foot. Methods 48 patients with diabetic lower limb underwent arterial CT angi-ography,Using CT a variety of post -processing techniques and compared with the original image. Results 48 patients were successfully obtained CTA image,41 patients had peripheral artery disease,40 cases were bilateral,39 cases of unilateral or bilateral had severe stenosis or occlusion;25 cases had obvious collateral circulation.Lower extremity arterial segments CTA and DSA showed good agreement (Kappa Value =0.887).Positive predictive rate was 92.5%,the negative predictive value was 98.6%.After delayed scanning,CTA on the foot artery count develo-ping increased, checked with the DSA consistency. Conclusion 64 slice spiral CTA can accurately and comprehen-sive assessment of lower extremity arterial disease of diabetic foot.Diabetic lower limb vascular lesions can be used as the preferred method of examination.

Objective To investigate the molecular mechanism of metformin. Methods The changes of protein expression of IRS-1 in liver, skeletal muscle and adipose tissues after treatment with metformin for OLETF rats, a model of spontaneous type 2 diabetes mellitus, were measured by Western blot analysis, and compared with those before treatment. Results 22 weeks after the treatment with metformin, the protein expression of IRS-1 was significantly increased in liver (P0. 05) ;and the protein expression of IRS-1 in adipose tissue was significantly decreased (P

Objective To compare the efficiency difference of 3 serological methods in syphilis blood SCreening, and then select the most proper method to prevent the transmission of syphilis via blood. Methods The samples of 2 000 blood donors were tested by TP-ELISA,TRUSlT and TPPA.Those positive samples detected by TP-ELISA and TRUST were confirmed by TPPA again. Results Of the 2 000 samples,11 samples were-TP-ELISA positive in which 8 samples were confirmed positivewith TPPA;2 samples were TRUSlT positive and both the two samples were confirmed positive withTPPA;and 8 cases were TPPA positive. There was obvious difference in detection rate between TRUST and TP-ELISA method(P

Objective To analyze, the risk factors and related psychological factors in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)and survey the curative effect. Methods All of 200 outpatients with GERD(GERD group) and 200 healthy persons (control group)from January 2006 to January 2008 were randomly selected, and the personal data were investigated. The GERD questionnaire (RDQ) and the Zung-self-rating depression scale (SDS) test were used. Results In GERD group, the proportions of high education, city living, marriage instability ,heavy working pressure, high body mass index (BMI),smoking and drinking habit, peptic disease in family, using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) were higher than those in control group (Pall < 0.01). After treatment, the patients in GERD group had lower scores in the RDQ and SDS test than those before treatment (P< 0.01). Conclusions There are many risk factors in patients with GERD, especially the psychological factors. The therapy of GERD should combine with psy-chotherapy and avoid high BMI, smoking, drinking and overusing the NSAID.

This study is designed to investigate the anti-tumor and anti-angiogenesis mechanism of carrageenan oligosaccharides. The effects of carrageenan oligosaccharides on basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) induced cell proliferation, heparanase activity and bFGF binding ability were evaluated in human cervical cancer cells (HeLa) and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). Results indicate that, at rational concentrations, carrageenan oligosaccharides showed low cytotoxic effect. At relatively low concentrations (0.2-200 microg x mL(-1)), these oligosaccharides could competitively bind bFGF and inhibit bFGF induced cell proliferation. In these samples, oligo-lambda-carrageenans (dp2-8) were the most potent bFGF antagonists. At concentration of 20 microg x mL(-1), their inhibitory ratio reached to 30%. The heparanase enzyme assay revealed that three kinds of carrageenan oligosaccharides showed different inhibitory activities to two cell lines. For HeLa cell, oligo-lambda-carrageenans showed highest inhibitory effect, but for HUVEC, oligo-kappa-carrageenans (dp9-17) were the best inhibitors. Current observations demonstrated that the biological activities of carrageenan oligosaccharides are closely related to the molecular weight, carbohydrate structure and the content and linking position of sulfur groups. Carrageenan oligosaccharides with high sulfate fraction, 2-8 units saccharide size and suitable molecular structure are able to achieve potent heparin sulfate-like compounds.

Objective:To evaluate the anti-corrosion property of Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming technic in artificial saliva.Method:The corrosive behavior of Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming was studied by potentiadynamic polarization technique in artificial saliva at 37 ℃(pH=6.8).Ti-Zr alloy formed by casting was applied as the control. With the polarization curves given by the electrochemical corrosive measure system and the picture of corrosive plane given by SEM, the corrosive property of the Ti-Zr alloy were analyzed.Results:Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming showed more relatively positive corrosion potential, smaller corrosion current density and lower passive potential, and did not show any evidence of corrosive phenomena.Conclusion:Ti-Zr alloy fabricated by laser solid forming has good corrosive resistance in oral circumstances.
9.A comparative study between conventional and endoscope-assisted greater saphenous vein harvesting
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2004;0(S2):-
Objective To compare between conventional and endoscope-assisted greater saphenous vein harvesting and to invest if endoscope-assisted greater saphenous vein harvesting can reduce post-operative leg incision complications. Methods Minimally invasive endoscopic saphenous vein harsvesting technique has been used in 36 isolated CABG patients and this is compaired with 50 conventional saphenous vein harsvesting group. There is no significant difference in sex structure, age, hypertension, diabetes mellitum (DM), myocardial infarction (MI) et al in two groups. Results The incidence of post-operative leg complications with minimally invasive greater saphenous vein harvesting group (2.8% ) was remarkably lower than that in conventional group (28%), and the hospital-stay time was much shorter in minimally invasive group. Conclusion Endoscope-assisted saphenous vein harvesting is a effective method in reducing post-operative leg incision complications.
