1.Clinical Observation on the Effect of Treating 22 cases of IgA Nephrotic Massive Albuminuria with Yishen Decoction

Objective To observe the effect of Yishen Decoction in treating IgA nephrotic massive albuminuria.Methods 44 cases of IeA nephropathy massive albuminuria are randomized into a treatment group and a control group.The control group is give.conventional western medical treatment,and the treatment group is given Yishen Decoction on the basis of conventional western medical treatment.Both groups are treated for a therapeutic period of 6 months.Observe the indexes of urine protein,serum creatinine(Scr),and blood urea nitrogen(BUN)24 hours before and after the treatment.Results The total efficiency of the treatment group and the control group is 86.36%,and 54.55%respectively.There is significant difference between the two groups.Besides,the treatment group is better at reducing albuminuria and protecting renal function than the control group.Conclusion Yishen Decoction is good at treating IgA nephrofic albuminuria.
2.Clinical application of combined detection of CEA,CA125 and LDH in benign and malignant hydrothorax and ascites identification

Objective To investigate the clinical application value of the determination of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA),car-bohydrate antigen 125 (CA125)and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)in the differential diagnosis of malignant hydrothorax and asci-tes.Methods The Beckmancoulter ACCESS2 automatic micro particle chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer was adopted to determine the CEA and CA125 levels in hydrothorax and ascites,and the Roche C501 automatic biochemical analyzer was used to determine the LDH level in hydrothorax and ascites.The clinical application value of these three indicators in the evaluation of be-nign and malignant hydrothorax and ascites was evaluated.Results The differences in the expression levels of CEA,CA125 and LDH between benign and malignant hydrothorax and ascites had statistical significance (P <0.01 );the positive rate of CEA, CA125 and LDH in malignant hydrothorax and ascites were 84.21%,92.98%,75.44%.Conclusion The combined detection of CEA,CA125 and LDH has an important value in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant hydrothorax and ascites.
3.Prospects and research situation of insect-drugs

The cognition,applications and research of insect-drugs were reviewed in this paper from the Spring and Autumn Period to modern time. From this we can appreciate the development of application of insect-drugs by physicians of past generations. This paper,based on textual research of ancient books,excavated the therapeutic effects and extended the clinical application. And to explore the mechanism of insect drugs from multi-angle,multi-channel,multi-target by making the best of the modern biological technology. The application of insect drugs would make new progress and play a more outstanding role in prevention and treatment of human disease.
4.Treating phlegm-Experience on treatment of chronic bronchitis

Chinese medicine has unique advantages in the treatment of chronic bronchitis,as long as it has correctly syndrome differentiation and proper prescription,satisfactory effect is usually obtained.The patients with chronic bronchitis often have symptoms of cough and expectoration,cough with dyspnea often relieves following the reduction and disappearance of phlegm,Therefore,syndrome differentiation and treatment of phlegm is very important in treating chronic bronchitis.This paper discusses the production mechanism,clinical symptoms and treatment strategies of cold phlegm,damp phlegm,heat phlegm,dry phlegm and stagnant phlegm which are common in clinic.And according to deficiency of kidney yang,deficiency of kidney yin,deficiency of kidney essence,the way of nourishing kidney is discussed respectively,which is of positive significance for clinic.
5.Transpedicular vertebral body bone graft combined with pedicle screw fixation in the treatment of thoracic and lumbar fractures

Objective To investigate the effect of the transpedical interbody bone grafting plus pedicle screw fixation for the treatment of thoracic and lumbar fractures.Methods 67 thoracolumbar fracture patients were treated with transpedicular vertebral body bone graft and pedicle screw internal fixation operation,preoperative,postoperative and follow-up uptake X line inspection,measurement and observation of.vertebral height has no loss,no fracture,internal fixation loosening occurred.Results Patients with neurological injury after operation were improved to different degree,the follow-up of patients with 12 ~ 36(23.8±9.3) average.After 1 year the patient fixation was not removed,internal fixation loosening,fracture,bone graft fusion better,no bone resorption and spinal physiological curvature to maintain good.Postoperative patients,followed for a mean of 36 months of anterior vertebral body height,height of vertebral body,posterior margin of the vertebral body height and the central angle Cobb operation were decreased significantly,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);and 1 week after operation and postoperative follow-up of an average of 36 months each index showed no significant differenec(P >0.05).Conclusion Transpedicular vertebral body bone graft and pedicle screw fixation for the treatment of thoracolumbar fractures has good clinical curative effect,which could effectively maintain the vertebral height of the front,with the value of clinical application.
6.Skin infection by M.fortuitum: report of 59 cases

Objective To study retrospectively the cl inical features of dermatic infectiom caused by M.fortuitum.Methods From Jan. to Dec. 1999, 59 cases with derma tic infection of M. fortuitun were admitted. Result s Age of the 59 cases averaged at 32 years with the ratio of male to female of 1∶5.6. The average length of illness was (55.0?30.5) day s.All patietns had a history of receiving injection by not well sterilized syri nge. The 59 cases had 76 skin lesions. Diagnosis was confirmed by bacteriology in 39 cas es (66%) and diagnosis in 12 out of the remaining 20 cases was achieved by path ology. All th e cases were cured by antibiotics plus antituberculotic chemotherapy with surger y if indicated. Follow up of average 18 months found no recurrence. Conclusion M.fortuiturn is sometimes e pidemical and often insensitive to many common used antibiotics and antitubercu lotics. Surgical treatment is indicated in some patients.
7.Effect of melatonin on serum MDA, NF-κB, TNF-αand β2-MG levels in secondary brain damage following intracerebral hemorrhage patients

Objective To investigate the effect of melatonin on serum malondialdehyde (MDA), NF-κB, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) andβ2-microglobulin (β2-MG) levels in secondary brain damage following intracerebral hemorrhage patients.Methods 90 patients secondary brain damage following intracerebral hemorrhage were divided into experimental group and control group, 45 cases in each group.The control group were given conventional treatment after surgical removal of hematoma, and the experimental group, on the basis of control group, were given melatonin capsule (6 mg melatonin) , orally, once a day, for 2 weeks treatment.The levels of MDA, NF-κB, TNF-αand β2-MG in patients’ serum were detected.Results The MDA, NF-κB, TNF-αand β2-MG levels after treatment significantly decreased compared with before treatment in two groups (all P<0.05), and the above indexes in experimental group significantly decreased compared with control group ( P <0.05 ).Conclusion Melatonin can significantly reduce the levels of MDA, NF-κB, TNF-αand β2-MG levels in brain injury patients with cerebral hemorrhage, and repair brain damage, which has a guiding significance for clinical use.
8.Correlation of serum procalcitonin and prognosis of neonatal sepsis

Objective To explore the correlation of serum procalcitonin and prognosis of neonatal sepsis. Methods 113 cases of infection were selected as the objects of study,which were divided into the observation group ( sepsis) and control group ( non sepsis) according to the presence of sepsis.2mL venous blood was selected when patients were admitted to hospital before antibiotic treatment.The level of PCT was detected by immunoluminometric assay.PCT level at admission and after treatment were used to analyze the relationship between changes and the severity and prognosis of patients.Results PCT level of the observation group [(11.03 ±6.21)ng/mL] were higher than that of the control group [(0.81 ±1.61)ng/mL] (t=8.507,P<0.01),Sepsis and death in patients with serum PCT values increased significantly over time (F=5.061,P<0.05);invalid value of serum PCT in patients with disease exacerbation was significantly higher(F=4.793,P<0.05);improved serum PCT values in patients with the disease better reduced(F=6.009,P<0.05).While PCT<14.86ng/mL mortality rate (14.89%) was significantly lower than the PCT≥14.86ng/mL mortality rate (72.22%).Conclusion PCT shows important clinical efficacy in forcasting prognosis of neonatal sepsis.It is worthy of wider promotion and application.
9.The study of tumor necrosis factor-alpla single nucleotide polymorphism in Chinese Han patients with polymyositis/dermatomyositis

Objective To investigate the tumor necrosis factor alpha gene single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in Chinese Han polymyositis/dennatomyositis (PM/DM) patients. Methods A casecontrol study of three TNF-α SNPs were undertaken and comparison between cases of PM/DM (n=69) and DM patients ( n=52 ) with normal subjects ( n=57 ) was performed. The genotype of every subject was determined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Results There was no significant difference in the genotypes and alleles frequencies of the three TNF-α SNPs(-238,-308, and -1031)between PM/DM or DM and normal subjects. The haplotype AGT (-238, -308, -1031 ) significantly increased in controls vs PM/DM and DM (PM/DM, P=0.01; DM, P=0.02) subjects. The haplotype AGC was a significant risk factor for DM (P=0.04, 0R=9.84, 95%CI 1.39~69.57 ). The haplotype AGC increased in PM/DM (4.3%)vs controls(0.6% ), but the difference was not significant (P=0.09, OR 7.22, 95%CI 1.02~50.90). The haplotype GGC was significantly decreased in the DM subgroup vs healthy control subjects (P=0.04, OR=0.47,95%CI 0.23~0.99). Conclusion The TNF gene (-238,-308,-1031) haplotype AGC is a risk factor for DM.
10.Advances in Study on CMTM3 and CMTM7 in Tumors of Gastrointestinal Tract

CMTM3 and CMTM7 are two newly discovered anti-oncogenes,which exist in various kinds of organs and tissues and having multiple biological functions including cell proliferation,differentiation,migration,and apoptosis. Recently,it has been shown that these two anti-oncogenes have closely relationship with gastrointestinal tract tumor,which can inhibit the growth of esophageal,gastric,and colorectal cancer. In this review article,the advances in study of the relationship between these two anti-oncogenes and tumors of gastrointestinal tract were summarized.
