To study the clinicopathological features of breast carcinoma with responsive granuloma. MethodsFive cases of breast carcinomas with responsive granuloma were investigated by morphological observation. ResultsAll the five patients had noncaseating epithelioid granulomas. Multinucleated giant cells, predominantly of Langhans type, were present in granulomas. The granulomas were restricted to the carcinoma, and no responsive granulomas were evident in the regional lymph nodes. None of the patients had clinical evidence of systemic granulomatous disease. ConclusionDifferential diagnosis of breast carcinoma with responsive granuloma should include the carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells, metaplastic the carcinoma with osteoclastic giant cells, granulomatous lobular mastitis, stromal responsive giant cells, and carcinoma with sarcoidosis or tuberculosis of the breast.

Objective:To compare performances of Wechsler Memory Scale(WMS)and Clinical Memory Scale(CMS),to explore applicability of WMS and CMS in the different degree traumatic brain injured patients.Methods:206 patients were tested with WMS and 300 with CMS,and completed clinical diagnosis for all,to compare the performances.Results: ①There was no significant differences in the MQ between the two groups in the normal、marginal memory impairment, there were significant differences in the mild memory impairment.②There were remarkable variance between the MQ and the clinical diagnosis,WMS was even more variant.Conclusion:①There is similar outcome between WMS and CMS in the patients with normal、marginal memory impairment,CMS shows more applicable in the patients with more severe mem- ory impairment.②It is not correct to diagnose memory defect degree with MQ without more clinical information.

Objective To assess the imaging characters and clinical applications of triphasic spiral computer tomography(CT) scanning in ureteral lesions.Methods We analyzed of 76 consecutive cases of clinically evidenced ureteral lesions using the cross-sectional images and CTU derived from triphasic spiral CT scanning retrospectively.Results Twetny-four cases of 76 ureteral lesions patients were diagnosed as ureteral tumor,resulting in severe urinary tract obstruction.The shape,size,number,regional ureter wall inflammatory infiltration of visible mass were verified as well.Twetny-six cases were caused by ureteral stones.The "edge" sign was shown clearly.Ten cases were ureteral inflammation,characterized by different ureteral wall thickening and enhancement feature.Eight cases were ureteral tuberculosis that secondary to renal tuberculosis.Uneven ureteral wall thickening,stiffness and mild to moderate density were shown in CT scanning.Ureteral congenital malformations were found in 3 patients.The other five cases were caused by exogenous factors.CT scanning could identify the mass general profile.Conclusion Triphasic spiral CT scanning plays an important role in ureteral lesions diagnosis and differentiation from other similar diseases.

CMTM3 and CMTM7 are two newly discovered anti-oncogenes,which exist in various kinds of organs and tissues and having multiple biological functions including cell proliferation,differentiation,migration,and apoptosis. Recently,it has been shown that these two anti-oncogenes have closely relationship with gastrointestinal tract tumor,which can inhibit the growth of esophageal,gastric,and colorectal cancer. In this review article,the advances in study of the relationship between these two anti-oncogenes and tumors of gastrointestinal tract were summarized.

Objective To investigate the role of RhoA and Rho kinase system in the onset of labor. Methods Forty term pregnant women, who delivered through cesarean section at the Xiangya Second Hospital of Central South University from February 2007 to November 2007, were selected and divided into 2 groups: 20 in labor group and 20 in non-labor group. Another 20 non-pregnant women undergoing hysterectomy due to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia were chosen as the control. Real-time fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR and western blot were applied to detect the expression RhoA and ROCKⅠ mRNA and protein in uterine smooth muscle tissue and the correlation between the mRNA and protein expression of RhoA and ROCKⅠ were analyzed. Results (1) The mRNA expressions of both RhoA and ROCKⅠ were detected in all groups, and higher levels were found in the labor group than in the non-labor group and the control [RhoA mRNA: (3.51±0.56)×10-3 vs. (2.75±0.52)×10-3 and (2.11±0.54)×10-3; ROCKⅠ mRNA: (4.07±0.66)×10-3 vs. (2.71±0.52)×10-3 and(2.01±0.23)×10-3, P<0.01]. (2) RhoA and ROCKⅠ proteins were also identified in all three groups, and the expressions in the labor and non-labor group were higher than those of the control (RhoA protein: 0.72±0.23 and 0.64±0.17 vs. 0.46±0.15; ROCKⅠ protein: 0.56±0.14 and 0.42±0.16 vs. 0.29±0.08, P<0.01). (3) The expression of RhoA mRNA and ROCKⅠ mRNA were positively correlated in each of the three groups (r=0.73,P<0.01), and the same was found in the expression of RhoA protein and ROCKⅠ protein (r=0.37,P<0.01). Conclusion The increased expression of RhoA and Rho kinase may play an important role in the initiation of labor.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of intensity-modulated radiation therapy(IMRT)and the prognosis factors in advanced cervical cancer.Methods A total of 218 cases of cervical cancer patients treated in Affiliated Tumor Hospital,Guangxi Medical University,between July 2007 and July 2012,were divided into IMRT group and routine radiotherapy group (conventional group,94 vs 124 cases).To compare the short-term effects of two groups by Chi-square test,and the incidence rate of 1,3,5-year survival by rank sum test ; to compare the acute and chronic toxicity of the two groups by rank sum test.And to analysis prognostic factors by log-rank test and Cox proportional hazard model and multiple linear regression analysis.Results (1) The effective rate in IMRT group was 95.7％ (90/94),which in the conventional group was 86.3％ (107/124; P ＜0.01).The 1,3,5-year overall survival rates in IMRT group were not significant difference than those in conventional group (87.6％ vs 90.1％,73.4％ vs 81.5％,and 72.3 ％ vs 75.7％ ;all P ＞ 0.05).The rate of acute gastrointestinal toxicity was 41.5 ％ (39/94) in IMRT group,vs 42.7％ (53/124) in conventional group(P ＜ 0.01); and the incidence of acute hematopoietic toxicity in IMRT group was 76.6％ (72/94),which was 78.2％ (97/124) in conventional group (P ＜0.01) ; the incidence of acute genitourinary toxicity was 12.8％ (12/94) in IMRT and 8.1％ (10/124) in conventional group(P =0.248).The late gastrointestinal,genitourinary and hematopoietic toxicities were 18.1％ (17/94),16.0％ (15/94) and 25.5％ (24/94),which were lower than those in conventional group 91.9％ (114/124),47.6％ (59/124) and 56.4％ (70/124),respectively (all P ＜0.01).(2) Univariate analysis showed that the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage,histological grade and tumor size were closely associated with 5 years disease-free survival rates and overall survival rates (all P ＜ 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that FIGO stage and histological grade were closely associated with 5 year overall survival rates (all P ＜ 0.01).FIGO stage and histological grade were independent factors to patients' 5-year overall survival rates in cervical cancer (P ＜0.01).Conclusion IMRT would be to reduce the acute and chronic toxicity,and to improve the quality of patients' life,but did not improve the 5 years survival rate in advanced cervical carcinoma.

Objective To use three different methods-different nursing level,different ADL and nursing manhour to allocate nursing human resources,and find their difference.Methods Using observation method to record nursing time,and then using three different methods to allocate nursing human resources.Results 22 persons were needed using nursing level to allocate,20 persons were needed using ADL method and 15 persons were needed using nursing manhour to allocate nurses.The difference of direct nursing time between patients with primary care and secondary care had statistically significant difference.The difference of direct nursing time between patients with different ADL had statistically significant difference.Conclusions It is different using three methods to allocate nursing human resources.How to select a suitable method to accurately calculate nursing human resources and combine computer and the present methods is the problem which we should solve currently.

Objective:To study the validity of Binomial Forced-Choice Digit Memory Test(BFDMT) in detecting dissimulation of intellectual deficit.Methods:64 subjects with compensable head injury were assessed by BFDMT,experiential judgment and Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices (RSPM),and were finally diagnosed on intellectual deficit degrees.Results:(1)The rate of malingering was 78.1% judged by BFDMT,and 43.8% by experiential judgment.(2)All of the 16 uncertain cases by experiential judgment were assessed as malingering by BFDMT.(3)Only one case in 64 was considered as a faulted diagnosis by follow-up.Conclusion:BFDMT is useful for detecting dissimulation of intellectual deficit particularly for the difficul cases in clinical experiential judgment.
