Totally 613 specialized nurses in 14 specialty areas were successfully trained by the health department of Guangdong province and the Hong Kong hospital authority collaboratively from 2007 to 2010.There were three stages in the training program including candidate interview and preparations for inter-regional training, specialty nursing courses in Hong Kong (10 months of clinical practice and 300 hours of theoretical courses) and postgraduate courses in Guangdong (300 hours). The program explored the inter-regional joint training mode for specialized nurses; improvement mechanism for teaching management and the combination of scientific research training and working practice. The successful experience of the program may provide references to the training of domestic specialized nurses and clinical nursing postgraduates.

Objective This study aims to evaluate the effect of joint training on professional core competencies of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses. Methods Nurses enrolled in Joint Training Program (the experimental group) between 2007 to 2009 were interviewed with questionnaire and compared with those received general training (the control group).Data were collected before and after 10 months of training.Scores of ICU nurse core competencies from the two groups were analyzed and compared.Restults Comparing with the control group, scores of the experimental group showed statistical differences on total score, theory dimension, technical dimension and 54 items. Conclusions Joint training could improve the professional core competencies of ICU nurses, especially the competences of management and application of nursing to critically ill patients and ICU special skills.

Objective To find out the present situation and influence factor in core capabilities of nurses that with blood purification skills in 18 hospitals, and offer reference frame for training. Methods The questionnaires were used to investigate, theresults underwent analysis. Results Among three parts of core capabilities, total score of N1-2 made the highest, the mean score was 236.75,N3 score made the lowest, the mean score was 168.00. The percent of pass in every hierarchy didn't passed 50%. Using the multiple regression to analyze the factor,N1-1 was the work experience in department of nephrology;N3 was the training time of blood purification. Conclusions Percent of pass in core capabilities of nurses of blood purification is in a low level, every hospital should follow the principle of recruitment, and regulate the training of nurses in blood purification.

Objective To find out the present situation and influence factor in core capabilities of nurses of blood purification, and offer reference frame for evaluation, selection, authentication and engagement of nursing post. Methods Core capability training module for nurses of blood purification was selected as theoretical basis for rough draft of evaluation index system establishment. The selected index underwent expert consultation with Delphi method. Results Four hierarchy were confirmed after 3 rounds of consultation (N1-1,N 1-2, N2, N3). Each hierarchy had three evaluation indexes, knowledge, technology and clinical practice. Number of grade one evaluation indexes of each hierarchy was 5,5,4; 5,5, 4;5,5,5; 5,5,1. Number of grade two evaluation indexes was 20,20,24;20,20,20;25,25,48;23,24,14.Only N1- 1,N1-2 and N2 had grade three evaluation indexes, 16, 5, 13 respectively. Conclusions Preliminary establishment of core capability evaluation index system can basically evaluate capability of nurses of blood purification.

OBJECTIVETo detect the CDH1 gene methylation of suspension cells in intraoperative abdominal lavage fluid from colorectal cancer patients, and to examine its association with clinicopathology and prognosis.
METHODSReal-time methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (qMSP) was used to investigate the methylation status of the CDH1 gene promoter 5'-CpG islands from intraoperative abdominal lavage fluid in 102 patients with colorectal cancer. The associations between methylation of CDH1 genes and clinicopathologic features and prognosis were investigated.
RESULTSAmong the 102 colorectal cancer patients, aberrant methylation of CDH1 gene was detected in 47 patients. Significant associations were found between CDH1 methylation status and tumor size, growth pattern, differentiation, distant metastasis, and clinical staging (all P<0.05). The median progression-free survival was 25.98 months for CDH1 methylation group and 41.36 months for non-methylated group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). Cox model analysis revealed that CDH1 methylation status in intraoperative peritoneal lavage fluid was an independent factor associated with postoperative survival in colorectal cancer patients (50.23% vs. 86.51%, P=0.001).
CONCLUSIONSColorectal cancer patients with aberrant methylation of 5'-CpG of CDH1 gene promoter of suspension cells in abdominal lavage have higher malignancy, more metastasis and worse prognosis.

Objective To build a supervision mechanism for independent clinical labs (ICL),surveyed the current situation of such novel institutions in China. Methods By way of the nationwide network of clinical labs,ICL in China were surveyed by written questionnaires and spot inspection. Results In the surveyed 38 ICLs,the maximum registered capital was 44 900 thousands, the minimum was 2 000 thousands. The maximum number of employee was 1 105,the minimum was 19.6 labs passed ISO15189 ratification,4 labs passed CAP ratification.17 labs participated in local external quality control,29 labs par-ticipated in national external quality control. Conclusion Although ICL in our country have developed well in the past dec-ade,such vulnerabilities as unbalanced staff ratio,full-range quality control bugs, cutthroat competition, asymmetrical infor-mation disclosure and bio-safety have loomed in the meantime. It is time to formulate a stricter industry access system and appropriate regulatory modes.

Objective:To sort out the current status and development of standardized nursing terminology in China, and reveal research hotspots and trends. Methods:The bibliometric and keyword cluster analysis and burstiness detection were performed using CiteSpace software on periodicals of standardized nursing terminology in China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang Database and VIP Database from their establishment to December 31, 2021.Results:A total of 1 761 articles were included. The development process of standardized nursing terminology includes three stages: sprouting period, stagnant period and rapid growth period. Researches were clinically-oriented. Researches focus on clinical application. The main reference tools of the studies include Omaha system, North America Nursing Diagnosis Association-International (NANDA-I) , Nursing Outcome Classification (NOC) and Nursing Intervention Classification (NIC) . Research settings mostly involve the elderly population and specialties such as stroke, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Research topics focus on transitional care, case management, home visiting and nursing educationbased on nursing process. The Delphi method is commonly used for quality evaluation. Conclusions:Standardized nursing terminology is paid more attention and the overall trend is positive, but the local construction of nursing terminology needs to be developed. It is suggested that future research aim at actual demand of domestic clinical applications, nursing informatics talents be developed and cultivated, and research consensus be gathered in order to promote the construction of a standardized nursing terminology system with Chinese characteristics.
