Journal of Korean Neuropsychiatric Association 2006;45(4):343-348
OBJECTIVES: This study was designed to assess the relationship between alcohol use and stress. METHODS: The study subjects were 1,261 people who drink among the 2,565 people who lived in Gangneung. We investigated the sociodemographic characteristics, Short Form-12 (SF-12), Global Assessment of Recent Stress (GARS) and Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT). RESULTS: In Problem drinking group the GARS was significantly positively associated with the AUDIT (p=0.02). In Social drinking group sex (p<0.001) and age (p=0.02) is significantly associated with the AUDIT. CONCLUSION: This study showed the significantly positively association between stress and alcohol use. We think that the intervention and active management of the stress can prevent the alcohol problem.

Mycobiology 2006;34(2):56-60
Higher Fungi were collected twice a month from May to September 2004 during field survey trips to Seoraksan and Odaesan National Parks. All the collected specimens were investigated for the morphological characters of carpophores and other features, and deposited in the herbarium of the Entomopathogenic Fungal Culture Collection (EFCC), Kangwon National University, Chuncheon. Among the identified specimens, three genera Rhodotus, Hotermannia and Sebacina and four species Rhodotus palmatus, Gomphus clavatus, Holtermannia corniformis and Sebacina incrustans were confirmed as new to Korea and reported here with descriptions.

Journal of Korean Clinical Nursing Research 2018;24(2):127-136
PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to investigate and identify the influence of nurses' followership types and ego-resilience on job embeddedness. METHODS: Self-reported questionnaires were distributed to 546 nurses working at hospitals with 400 to 700 beds in Seoul and Gangwon Province, and 520 sincere questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS / WIN ver 23.0 program. RESULTS: The job embeddedness, ego-resilience and followership types of the participants showed significant correlation with each other. In hierarchical multiple regression analysis, nurses' followership types and ego-resilience were identified as predictors of job embeddedness (Adj. R2=0.34, p < .001). CONCLUSION: Findings of this study indicate that nurses need to develop their followership and ego-resilience to increase job embeddedness. Future studies should explore ways to improve followership and ego-resilience.

Journal of the Korean Pediatric Society 1995;38(2):232-239
This report is based on analysis of admissions to the department of pediatric at the Wonju Christian Hospital during the 3 3/4-year period from January 1989 to September 1993 with an Isolated ostium secundum ASD. Several methods of assessment of ASD size, namely, echographic, pulmonary-to-systemic flow ratio(Qp:Qs), and angiographic measures, were undertaken in a group of 37 patients, who were being evaluated for transcatheter closure of ASD; the results were compared with the operation diameter. The result of study was as follows : 1) The (Qp:Qs) ratio have no significant(p>0.01) correlation with the operation diameter(r= 0.342) 2) The angiographic size have a significant(p<0.01) correlation with the operation diameter (r=0.842) 3) The echo diameter has the best correlation with the operation diameter(r=0.935; p<0.01) The operation diameter can be estimated by the equation: 1.05 x echo diameter in millimeters+0.93mm. It is concluded that operation diameter of ASD can be estimated accurately by two-dimensional subcostal echo measurements, which in turn could be used for selection of device size for occlusion of the ASD.
