International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2009;31(1):52-
Objeetive To observe the effect of the fire and leopard-spot needling therapy in treating ankle sprain. Methods We randomly selected 59 ankle sprain cascs and divided them into 2 groups, with one contained 30 cases treated hy fire and leopard-spot needling therapy as the treatment group, and another contained 29 cases treated by computerized multa-function therapy apparatus as the control group. After 7 days'treatment,we observed the effects of each group. Results The results snowed that the effect of the treatment group was much better than the control group. Conclusion With the features of collateral vessel pricking and warming and activating meridians, fire and leopard-spot needling therapy can remove swelling and relieve pain rapidly.
2.Clinical study of chemoradiation therapy in rectal cancer
China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Rectal cancer is a common malignant tumor in the gastrointestinal system. For the patients with resectable but high-risk rectal cancer, neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemoradiation plus surgery may improve local control.Compared to adjuvant chemoradiation, neoadjuvant chemoradiation showed the advantage of sphincter preservation. When the goal of preoperative chemoradiation was sphincter preservation, conventional radiotherapy was recommended.Through the analysis of the patients with 5-year survivals, the radiation had a similar impact on the survival as the chemotherapy alone for the patients with the intermediate risk factors. The impact on local control need to be further investigated before recommending chemotherapy alone for those subset patients.Advances in preoperative irradiation, postoperative irradiation and the comparison of preoperative irradiation with postoperative irradiation are also reviewed in this article.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1992;0(01):-
Objective To verify the variation of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5 (MAPKKK5) gene expression in patients with cryptogenic refractory temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and to evaluate the possible molecular pathogenesis of intractable TLE. Methods Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western-blot analysis were used to measure the expression alterations of MAPKKK5 mRNA as well as its protein product MAPKKK5 in temporal cortex samples from patients who had undergone temporal lobectomy for intractable epilepsy (n=10). Tissues from 10 subjects who did not have epilepsy served as controls. Results The expression of MAPKKK5 mRNA (1.001?0.321) and its protein MAPKKK5 (0.359?0.299) were significantly increased in epileptic brain compared with the controls (0.648?0.157, 0.137?0.084, respectively) (all P

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(03):-
Congenital absence of major salivary glands is a sort of infrequent salivary glands abnormality. This disease can be diagnosed by nuclide raster display and its anatomy image can be identified by CT or MRI.We reviewed the etiological factor, clinical situation, diagnosis and therapy of this disease, and pointed out that gene and development checks are necessary to classify it as a hereditary disease.

Methamphetamine is a powerful stimulant of amphetamine type in the central nervous system (CNS),and recently it has become the major drugs of abuse.A lot of research results show that MA may induce dopaminergic neurotoxicity in the animal and human striatum. The mechanisms include effects on dopaminergic signaling and dopamine oxidation, glutamate induced excitotoxicity, oxidative stress and inflammatory cytokines, disruption of mitochondfia, apoptosis, activation of glial cells and hyperthermia. However the mechanisms by the MA-induced dopaminergic neurotoxicity are not completely understood. The paper reviewed recent progress of study on them to provide reference materials for related research.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value and feasibility of PTC diagnosis on pancreaticobiliary maljunction (IBM), and to summarize the PTC radiological characteristics of PBM. Methods Clinical findings and cholangiopancreatographic results were analyzed retrospectively for a group of consecutive 363 patients with obstructive jaundice receiving the PTCD therapy. Meanwhile the standard selected for cases and diagnostic conditions were established. The length and diameter of pancreaticobiliary common duct, the diameter of pancreatic duct and common bile duct and the confluence angle were measured respectively. The t test and rank sum test were used to analyze the result statistically. Results Thirty-eight cases were radiologicaUy diagnosed as PBM owing to the reference standard and the detection rate was 10.5% (38/363). The length of common duct was (12.6±7.9)mm. The significant difference existed between it and normal value (6ram) (t=5.15 , P <0.05). The site of duodenal papilla had influence on the length of common duct. The diameter of common bile duct, pancreatic duct and common duct near the confluence are (3.7±1.9 ) mm, (2.4±1.3) mm, (3.3±1.4 ) mm, respectively. There was no statistical difference between them and the normal value (t=1.79,2.85,5.72, P>0.05). Fifteen patients' duodenal papilla located the middle of descending duodenum. The length of common duct was (10.6±9.1)mm , the confluence angle was 51.1°±28.0°, the number of the duodenal papilla locating in the inferior 1/3 of descending duodenum, juncture , horizontal part of duodenum was 10, 8,5, respectively. The length of common duet were (9.9±3.7), ( 18.6±8.9), ( 13.9±3.5 ) mm, respectively. The confluence angle were 54.0°±18.6°、48.7°±12.6°、74.4°±18.5°, respectively . The site of duodenal papilla had significant influence on the length of common duct(X2=14.51, P <0.05). Conclusion PTC is a safe, feasible, method to diagnose PBM, and it demonstrates the characteristic findings of PBM.

Objective To explore the effect of Zn 2+ on human leukemia promyelocyte (HL 60)cycle changes induced by multiglucoside tripterygii (MT).Methods ① HL 60 phenotype and membrane protein Fas expression was detected.② HL 60 was cultured with MT observing the cell forms and cell cycle changes,DNA electrophoresis results and the effect of Zn 2+ on the cell cycle change. Results ① The HL 60 were CD4 +CD8 -CD19 -IFN ? +IL 8 -,and the Fas protein expression was poorer.② Following culture of HL 60 with MT,the apoptosis relative cell cycle change appeared in HL 60.This change mainly affected G 2/M and S stage cells, and presented dose time correlation.③ Zn + nearly all blooked the effect of MT induced HL 60 cell cycle change. Conclusion ① HL 60 has Th1 lymphocyte like characteristics, and the Fas protein expression is poorer.② Zn + affects the MT induced HL 60 cell cycle change. It suggests that Zn + might affect the therapeutic and side effects during clinical treatment of many autoimmune diseases with MT.
