1.Application of molecular imaging in vascular cognitive impairment
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2014;22(2):122-126
Cerebrovascular disease is a common cause of cognitive impairment or dementia.Vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) often occurs independently or coexists with Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.Early intervention of vascular risk factors, such as hypertension, can prevent or delay the process of VCI.MRI can only reveal the parenchymal damage from structures, but can not early identify brain tissue dysfunction or the presence of VCI.The molecular imaging techniques, such as single-photon emission computed tomography and positron emission tomography have been gradually used to the field of neuroscience. They have important roles in the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and related research of VCI.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(06):-
Objective To investigate effects of three types of mechanical ventilation on oxygenation status in laparoscopic gastric banding for the treatment of morbid obesity. Methods Twenty-four morbidly obese patients scheduled for laparoscopic gastric banding were divided into three groups. The Group A was given a tidal volume of 12 ml/kg and a respiratory rate of 10 times/min,the Group B,a tidal volume of 20 ml/kg and a respiratory rate of 10 times/min,and the Group C,a tidal volume of 12 ml/kg and a respiratory rate of 20 times/min,respectively.The measurement of arterial blood for pH value,PO2,PCO2,Plat Pressure,Peak Pressure, and AaDO2 was conducted before(T1) and after pneumoperitoneum(T2). Results After pneumoperitoneum, the Group B had significantly higher Plat Pressure(33.2?1.8 cm H2O) and Peak Pressure(36.3?1.6 cm H2O) than the Group A(Plat Pressure: 29.5?3.9 cm H2O,q=3.053,P
8.Quality of life in 164 allergic rhinitis patients caused by different aeroallergens.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(3):226-229
OBJECTIVE:
We aimed to analyze the quality of life (QOL) in adults with allergic rhinitis according to the sensitization profile for relevant aeroallergens in Northern China, investigate the proportion of patients with coexisting asthma, and explore the correlation between QOL of rhinitis patients and the specific IgE level to the causative allergen.
METHOD:
One hundred and sixty-four allergic rhinitis patients participated in this study, whose clinical history, results of intradermal skin test and serum specific IgE levels to common aeroallergens in North China were collected. QOL was evaluated using the rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire (RQLQ).
RESULT:
QOL of rhinitis patients was worse in those sensitized to tree pollens or weed pollens than those sensitized to house dust mites in Northern China. The proportion of patients with co-existing asthma was lower in tree pollen group than in house dust mite group or weed pollen group, and there was no significant difference between house dust mite group and weed pollen group. There was no significant correlation between QOL of rhinitis patients and the specific IgE level to the causative allergen.
CONCLUSION
In our study group, QOL of patients with allergic rhinitis varied with the allergen responsible for symptoms, but was not influenced by the specific IgE level to relevant allergen. The proportion of patients with co-existing asthma also varied with different pollen allergens. Rhinitis patients sensitized to weed pollens might be more likely to suffer from asthma than those sensitized to tree pollens.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2013;36(24):10-12
Objettive To evaluate the effect of taking vitrectomy on the patients who suffer from polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) combined with vitreous hemorrhage (VH),observe the natural consequence of PCV combined with VH and analyze the factors that affected the visual prognosis. Methods The clinical data of 20 patients with PCV combined with VH who performed vitrectomy were analyzed retrospectively from January 2009 to September 2012.Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was compared before and after operation, and explored the factors that affected the visual prognosis. Results Patients were followed up 6-18 (13 ± 2) months. At the last follow-up,BCVA was improved and better than 0.05 in 11eyes.There was significant difference in BCVA between before operation (2.91 ±0.52) and 2 weeks after operation (1.52 ±0.51)(P =0.003).The natural factors between visual acuity improved patients and non-improved patients were compared,follow-up treatment and the condition of macular was the independent factor that affected the visual prognosis (P =0.009,0.034).There was significant difference in BCVA of 6months after operation between patients with follow-up treatment (photedynamic therapy or transpupillary thermotherapy,10 cases) and patients without follow-up treatment (10 cases)(0.77 ± 0.51 vs.1.43 ± 0.64)(P =0.035).Conclusions Vitrectomy can significantly improve the visual acuity of PCV combined with VH.It will get better visual acuity,if has photodynamic therapy or transpupillary thermotherapy postoperatively.
10.Advance in loop-mediated isothermal amplification technique and its applications in point-of-care testing platforms.
Chinese Journal of Virology 2014;30(4):470-475
Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a novel in vitro nucleic acid amplification method conducted under isothermal conditions with the advantages of high specificity, sensitivity, rapidity and easy detection. Since it was established in 2000, it has been widely applied in various fields of analytical science including the diagnosis of a variety of pathogens, identification of embryo sex, detection of genetically modified organisms and cancer gene identification. Additionally, significant progress has been made in the optimization of the LAMP method, such as accelerated reactions, simplified sample processing, the realization of multiplex amplification, and the enhanced specificity of reaction and detection methods. LAMP technology also shows much potential to be adopted as part of point-of-care testing platforms by the micromation, automation and integration with other technologies such as Lab-on-a-Chip and digital nucleic acid amplification. This review summarizes the latest advances in the LAMP technique and its applications in developing point-of-care testing platforms.
