1.Effect of aversion therapy on the dietary compliance of diabetic patients
Modern Clinical Nursing 2013;(5):29-32
Objective To study the effect of aversion therapy on compliance of dietary therapy among diabetic patients?Method Ninety two diabetic outpatients were randomized into the experiment group(n = 48)and the control group(n = 44)? The experiment group was managed with aversion therapy besides routine diabetic health education and the control group with health education by way of attending lectures? The two groups were compared in terms of compliance of dietary therapy, fasting plasma glucose (FPG)and glycosylated hemoglobin Alc(GHbA1c),as well as anxiety and depression? Results The compliance of dietary therapy in the experiment group was better than the control group(P < 0?001)? The indexes in metabolism were all better than those of the control group(P < 0?01)? But there were no differences in the scores on SAS and SDS(both P > 0?05)? Conclusions The aversion therapy is more effective in improving the compliance of dietary therapy for diabetic patients compared to the conventional health education? It is good for their metabolism?
2.Protective effects of liraglutide on cardiovascular system
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2013;29(10):917-920
[Summary] Recently liraglutide, which is based on incretin, has attracted considerable attention gradually.Except for decreasing blood glucose favorably, liraglutide has the protective effects on cardiovascular system in patients with diabetes mellitus. It protects vascular endothelial cells and myocardial cells, defends atherosclerosis and improves cardiac function through various mechanisms. In addition, liraglutide also reduces blood pressure, regulates blood lipid, controls body weight, and reduces chronic inflammation. To sum up,liraglutide protects the cardiovascular system directly and reduces cardiovascular risk factors. It may improve the prognosis and the life quality of the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

5.Blood purification therapy in children with acute poisoning
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2011;18(2):102-104
This article summarizes the mechanisms, and the effects of clinical application of more common mode of blood purification in rescuing the acute poisoning in children. The timing of blood purification and the considerations are reviewed as well. It also proposes that acquaintancing the indications and contraindications of blood purification, proper selection of treatment modalities and mastering the operation can reduce the adverse reaction and improve the survival rate in children with acute poisoning.
6.Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Bleeding after Drug-abortion with the Methods of Activating Blood Circulation to Dissipate Blood Stasis
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2009;31(5):439-440
ObJective To investigate the therapeutic effect of the Traditional Chinese Medicines on bleeding after drug-abortion. Methods 193 patients who volunteered to receive drug-abortion were randomly recruited into a treatment group (97 cases) and a control group (96 cases). The treatment group and control group were taken with traditional Chinese medicines and Yimueao ointment respectively after both groups were administrated with Mifepristone and Misoprostol orally for drug miscarriage. Results The rate of complete abortion, in-complete abortion and failure of treatment in treatment group was 93.81 %, 5.16% and 1.03% respectively, and those of control group were 85.42%, 11.45% and 3.13% respectively. The results showed significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05) . The difference of vaginal bleeding amount and its lasting time between the two groups was also statistically significant (P<0.01) . Conclusion The compound Chinese herbs with the functions of promoting blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis has obvious effects on the treatment of incomplete drag-abortion.
7.EFFECT OF PROPYLTHIOURACIL ON THE CHANGES OF SERUM THYROID HORMONE CONCENTRATIONS IN HYPERTHYROIDISM
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1985;0(01):-
The acute and chronic effects of propylthiouracil (PTU) on serum thyroid hormone concentrations were assessed with that of methimazole as control. For the study of acute effects, among 54 untreated patients with hyperthyroidism selected at random, a single dose of PTU 200 mg and methimazole 20 mg were given to 29 and 25 patients respectively. And then 15 patients of each group were randomly selected for the study of chronic effects;PTU was given orally 100 mg t.i.d., and methimazole 10 mg t. i. d. for 4 weeks. Serum T3, T4 and rT3 were assayed. The results suggested that PTU and methimazole might exert different effects on T3 production. It seemed that PTU also inhibited the conversion of T4 to T3 by reducing the activity of 5'-deiodinase, thus resulting in normalization of T3. PTU is better than methimazole in treating severe hyperthyroidism and thyroid crisis as well. There was no significant difference between the chronic effects of both antithyroid drugs on serum thyroid hormone levels.
8.CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF SERUM rT_3 MEASUREMENT IN HYPERTHYROID PATIENTS TREATED WITH ANTITHYROID DRUG
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
Serum T3, T4, rT3 levels were measured in 124 patients with Graves' disease and in 100 normal subjects. The levels of serum T3, T4, rT3 and the ratios of T2/T4, rT3/T4, rT3/T3 were significantly higher in the hyperthyroid patients before treatment as compared with that in the normal subjects. Serum rT3 concentration of the patients returned down to the normal range lastly during antithyroid therapy. The incidence of relapse was higher in the patients with high serum rT3 level than that in those with normal serum rT, level while discontinuing methimazole therapy (66.7% vs 17.4%). The difference was significant (P
9.Plasma hsCRP and Glucose Tolerance in Essential Hypertensive Patients
Chinese Journal of Hypertension 2006;0(11):-
Objective To test the hypothesis that the plasma high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) level in essential hypertensive patients were related with various degree of glucose tolerance. Methods One hundred forty six essential hypertensive patients were divided into NGT, IGT and T2DM groups according their OGTT results. Blood pressure and laboratory studies, including hsCRP level were determined. Results (1)Age, gender, body weight, BMI, SBP, DBP, LDL-C and TG index between three group were not significant different among groups; (2)The hsCRP level gradually increased from NGT to T2DM groups (P
10.Preoperative microbiological study of the conjunctival sac in the elderly
Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(01):-
The microbiological condition of the conjunctival sac before IOL implantation in old people is report- ed.The study comprised 4 groups. In the first gro- up,35 cases with normal cul-de-sacs were cultured weekly for 3~4 wks, totalling 124 times.Among them,16 cases(45.7%)showed positive results in 32 cultures(25.8%).In the second group, cultures were taken at 8:00 AM on the day of operation, resulting in a 19.2% positive rate.In the third group,in which specimens for culture were taken im- mediately before the conjunctival incision was made, the positive rate was also 19.2%.The fourth group contained cases with chronic conjunctival congestion. Their cultures showed a positive rate of 53.13%, which differed significantly from results of the oth- er three groups(P
